The trouble started on a Monday morning. I put the garden hose into the flower bed that runs along the back of my house to do some watering. I accidentally left the water running for 3 to 4 hours before I realized I had left it on. Water seeped into my house. I used the carpet shampooer to suck up water for three or four days before I became aware that the walls in my living room we're very soft. That's when I knew the water had done much more damage to my living room and two of my bedrooms than I had realized. I called my insurance company and they told me I needed to have water mitigation done right away. Through Home Advisor I found Haldeman Restoration Company who employs Austin Hsu. Austin quickly became my knight in shining armor. He took charge and oversaw everything from the moment I called him. First of course was the water mitigation, and because of my bad lungs -- air purification, both of which Austin started within an hour and a half of my phone call to him. Then everything needed to be moved out of the affected rooms. Everything was moved out to a pod in my driveway. Testing of the walls in the affected rooms for lead paint and asbestos had to be done. Asbestos was found so a special crew came out to do the demolition. This was followed by more testing to be sure the rooms were cleared of the offending asbestos. Then a little more water mitigation. Then came time for the build back. An estimator, JD Defreece also with Haldeman Restoration Company, came out. And now in about five more days the build back will begin. Austin Hsu of Haldeman Restoration Company made the arrangements for all of these tasks to be done. He worked with each company and with my insurance company to make sure everything was on track. This horrible accident had the capability of causing me a lot of stress. But thanks to Haldeman Restoration Company and Austin Hsu the whole process was pretty much stress free. One cannot put a price on that and I'm very appreciative. Heaven for bid something like this should ever happen to my home again. A leak from my central air unit in the attic caused water damage to my second floor ceiling. My insurance provided me with a list of preferred contractors and I chose HRC. I notified my carrier of my choice and within 3 hours I received a call from Jason. He scheduled a site visit for the next day. JD was right on time and wrote up some things that he felt should be added to the carriers list of items to be completed. JD explained the process of what would happen next with the carrier, which was spot on. The day the additional work was approved Jason called and sent over a contract. I signed and 2 days later I was contacted by Gorin, the project manager for my work. Gorin let me know that he was looking at schedules and would get back to me with a start date. 1 day later Gorin contacted me and a start date was set. The crew were AMAZING! They took great care in tarping and masking everything to protect the rest of my home. Their workmanship was top notch and they finished the project 1 day early! Two things I want to point out that I think sets HRC apart.... 1st. The crew finished the job early and texted me that they done and were just cleaning up, I closed my garage door remotely... when I got home not only was the workmanship excellent but the time and detail they spent on making sure my home was literally in the same condition (if not even a little better (LOL) just showed such professionalism. 2nd... and more importantly, Gorin came to check on the final work himself... not only did he check their work... he crawled up into my attic and noticed that the original problem, that I was told was fixed was not... he noticed that The central unit was still leaking, thus allowing me to get someone out so that I didn't have to go thru this all over again! We just completed a 6month long restoration project working with HRC. From the onset of the water damage Jason was an advocate and driving force with our less than cooperative insurance adjuster. Jason was more than patient and continued all the way to the end to push on the insurance and support us through every step of this project. Jason's team was by far the best we have worked with in our many home projects over the years. It was a long journey having close 70% of our home damaged from water but the end results were more than worth the challenges. While the payment parties stalled and added almost two months to this process, Jason stayed the course, kept the crew working and continued to be our advocate. The entire inside of our home was destroyed by an electrical fire December 2023. You can imagine the shock and awe about what or how to get through this. We were contacted by an "ambulance chaser" who had a fabulous dog and pony parade in their upscale Roseville Office - we were not sold. Our bathroom water damage started 9 months ago and was "fixed" 8 months ago. That experience (from a different company) was awful, so many problems and re-dos. Fast-forward to April and everything had to be redone and more. I spoke with our insurance adjuster requesting the best restoration company he knew, and his immediate answer was Haldeman. HRC is amazing!! Dorin was my project manager and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I had water damage from a leaky roof in my living room and water damage from an upstairs bath tub leaking into my kitchen ( which was my own fault ). The project seemed overwhelming, especially because it was a mix of dealing with my insurance company covering part of the cost and I was covering the other. Dorin put my mind at ease right away, he dealt with the insurance company and walked me through every step of the process. He answered all my questions thoroughly and with respect. The job was estimated to take 3 days but Oscar and Eduardo finished in 2!! The house looks amazing, the paint is a perfect match and you cant even tell there was issue. We had HRC do a garage reconstruction project for us after it was damaged by a vehicle. Thankfully, the work was covered by insurance and HRC did great reconstruction work. Actually, we were so impressed by the craftsmanship of their craftsmen, we had them do some additional work for us on the house. In all, we had the garage repaired, added two new pass through doors, had the garage door replaced, had extensive dry rot repaired, had a new roof installed, had a new paint job on the house, had new outdoor lights installed and had a new front door and security door installed. All of the people we worked with were courteous and professional. We were completely satisfied with the work and the length of time it took for all of the repair work to be completed. We had a fire and had to have most of our home restored. In the beginning, the most stressful part was choosing a contractor. We met Jason and he made us feel confident about choosing his company. He kept me informed of the project schedule, coordinated with the tenant to access the garage for the repairs. Our experience with HRC was pretty extraordinary. Our home had horrible extensive damage. Our tear down company was not a great experience so they came in unfortunately with a lot of their emotional and physical damage to content with. However, Jason (the owner) and Doran (our project manager) calmed our fears and jumped right in. All their employees were respectful, friendly, and went farther than needed to knock it out.
