The turkey and Brie comes with apple slices, and two kinds of mustard - a honey mustard and stone ground mustard. The honey mustard is what caught my eye. While I realize stone ground mustard is tangier, this sandwich was overcome by the strength of the onion and stone ground mustard. You don't even notice the apple and Brie. Just an overall miss for me. Last, if you happen to be dining in, you can use a bathroom (with a code) but it's a block away in a parking garage. I'm not down in Boulder super often, but I'm likely to skip a return visit. If I were to return, I'd try the chickpea and avocado sandwich instead and hope for better luck.

Great Drinks Great Food. I have been living in boulder for 4 years and this place is great. If you're not in college I would suggest not going here late night if you want a heavy college crowd. If you are in college the drinks are fantastic. For a pretty reasonable price one drink will get you ready for your night. Aside from the drinks the menu is great and large. If you want a really good sandwich I suggest the gobbler with added mashed potatoes. It is like thanksgiving in a bun and is awesome. If I had any complaint, I would say that some of the ingredients like the lettuce are a little cheap, but in there defense it is very similar to any other sandwich shop's lettuce. Go here if you are visiting CU or want a sandwich. read more

Okay I don't know really how to describe this place, but amazing. It is so good and I love it so much. I got one of the philly cheesesteak sandwiches and I just wanted more when I finished it. Also have you ever heard of getting a long island ice tea in a pitcher that is all for you. I am a little girl and got a little tipsy after my pitcher. The atmosphere is awesome. If you go to CU or live in Boulder this is defiantly the hot spot. There is always a crowd on their deck. The location of this restaurant is in the heart of the hill. To start the night of partying it is the perfect thing to wash down your first beer or pitcher. I would say it is the best sandwich shop on the hill read more

This place has the largest selection of subs and salads I've ever seen anywhere. It always wins the "Best of Boulder" awards from the local newspapers and the awards are displayed on the walls. And the awards are justified. Tons of Veggie selections. Killer drinks and beers. Just a minute off campus on the Hill with street or lot parking out front. If you walk in and there is a line , don't worry it moves real fast. A great lunch or dinner or just a great place to hang out on the deck in the sun and to people watch. Been there a ton of times and I'll Be Back. Great food, name (get it?) and friendly staff. read more

I really enjoy Half Fast Subs, if words could describe it it's just pretty much awesome!! It's a very college friendly environment that I don't mind taking my family too when they come to visit. Usually when my friends and I are wondering around the Hill and need a place to eat we usually end up at Half Fast because the atmoshpere is spectacular and the sandwiches are delicious (have yet to pick a sandwich i did not like)!! If you're visitng Boulder any time soon and you've never been to Half Fast I highly recommend you stop by or else you're not getting the full Boulder experience! read more

Half Fast Subs is a fantastic little sub shop that makes me happy every time I make it in there. The menu selection is unparalleled, especially for me since I'm a vegetarian and sometimes have trouble in places like this. Big fan of the Philly cheesesteak tempeh sub. If you want a full-size sub, you'll probably be bringing a lot of it home for later. As other reviewers have said, I do wish it could be a bit quieter inside, but my kids love it so I can't really fault them for that too much. Overall, great food and a great time. read more

PITCHERS!!! I love the art work on the walls and the atmosphere. Turns into a bar (sorta) at night. they have coupons in the rooster for their drinks. Every sub I have tried I have enjoyed. The menu is slightly overwhelming. Half fast's clock is always set to 420. They have the biggest sub selection! Subs are pretty standard, though there is a huge menu. The pitchers are the reason that everyone comes here. The strong island is good, but is sure to give you a mean hangover the next day because its so sugary. read more

It turned out to be better than we expected, not a wow but quite satisfactory. They are stalky quite busy in late afternoons or evenings when I have walked by. Patios full of students eating and drink large portions. Good music and having fun. The staff was very helpful and friendly and though we had no plan as I usually do, gave us good advice on the menu and we found a shareable plate that made a good lunch for 2. We got the grilled fish taco plate with a side salad, though I suspect most would choose the fries that I cannot usually have as I have seen walking by. The tacos were very large, a little lighter in fish than I would have lined as it was fresh and tasty mahi with a nice slaw, sauce and lots of jack cheese. Nice warm double layer of white corn tortillas . The side salad was fresh, typical spring mix and petite tomato halves and nicely cut pieces of cu umber and shredded carrots with a light, slight sweet neutral vinaigrette dressing as some are often too acid for for me. My iced chai turns out to be our favorite local brand, Sherpa , which was founded in Boulder and has become a nationally recognized brand. But not what we started out planning for lunch when we started out on foot on a nice spring day but it was quite satisfying.
