$15 with tax piece of cake

Paid $30 for two slices of cake to go. I was kind of shocked! They were delicious but seemed expensive

My dad's food which i'm pretty sure was raw??

This is the nastiest fucking restaurant my family and I have EVER been to. First of all, our waiter, Lance, was a creep who literally said he had a "shock collar for me" ?! Next, they were extremely disrespectful to the family next to us, pretty sure because they were clearly hispanic, Lance assumed orders for them.. "let me guess you want mozzarella sticks"...etc, then got her order wrong and picked a fight with her. The woman also asked a different server, "Sir come here please" he walked away, my mom called him, he looked over, and again walked away. My dad's food was so disgusting, and btw let me mention it took..umm maybe like 2 minutes to all get our food? Clearly it's pre-heated, not fresh or cooked at all. My mom's soup looked like straight up vomit. Also why would you give my mom a straw with her wine?! Clearly this restaurant is scamming the old people / locals, especially people in the hotel across the street because it's easy access. Stay far, far away from this shit hole

For some reason I was expecting more from this place. Walked in and it seemed like an old Dennys/ Diner. Nothing exciting but it was clean. The server seemed nice enough and seemed like she was really trying. She might have been new because every question I asked she had to go back to the cook to ask. I asked her if I could substitute the toast and potatoes with either eggs or bacon and she goes back to ask then returns and says yes we can give you just the steak and bacon. I told her I still wanted the eggs so she goes back to ask again and returns adding we will have to charge you as a side of we do that. I told her to leave it as is because she was getting more confused with each question. I ordered the special steak and eggs and she asked me what kind of steak. I told her whatever steak came with the breakfast. She seemed very confused. When the food came out was quite subpar. It wasn't awful but it wasn't great by any means. The toast was hard and the steak flavorless nothing special about it. I would probably not pick this place to eat at if you have other options in the area. The bill for 2 adults came out to $70 with tip. 2 steak and egg breakfasts, 1 kids grilled cheese, and 2 coffees. Definitely not worth the price tag. The one positive part was the girl that was responsible for refilling our drinks and coffee was on point. She made sure our cups never got half way. She kept them full even after our meal.

We stopped in here with some friends while visiting the half moon bay area. The reason our friends picked this particular restaurant was for its family friendliness with their toddler and that is the only reason we came here. The highlight of our experience was our waitress who was joyful and friendly. Everything else was downhill. The restaurant itself stank and the bathrooms smelled like sewage. The kitchen was a mess and the menu was so massive, there's no way you can maintain quality with a menu that huge. I ordered the green salad which was terrible but there was really not a whole lot I could find for a vegetarian that wasn't otherwise probably coming out of a bag and reheated. Hubby ordered the French dip and it was massive, soggy and terrible. Our friends ordered the Spanish sausage omelette with side pancake, eggs Benedict and kids Mac and cheese, all which looked very pasty and bland. Overall the portions were enormous. The quality was very low, and I was really surprised at the prices for such low quality food. Our server however was lovely and they get an extra star for her because she was attentive and really hard working. Otherwise it was a solid one star experience with definitely one star food. Would not return if in the area again.

Half Moon Bay is a beautiful place to visit but the average cost of dinning has gone up significantly recently. This location is a little ways done from the main tourist area but is worth a visit especially if you like the old fashioned "Dinner Experience". Lots of open space filled with Large cushioned booth's so you can sit comfortably enjoying the large window views. Food is good but overpriced, however the service makes up for that. If you're a beer drinker you'll get a little more if you go with Tap rather than bottled. Few things: -Kids portion are large and come extremely hot in temp -Water tastes like Tap (perhaps go for bottled). -Beer on Tap kinda has a funny taste bottled beer taste old -appetizer's are lacking in options -For dessert a number of pies and ice cream options. I had a cheesecake 3/5. Over all good service and restrooms are clean.

service was great chef doesn't know how to cook over medium eggs- cut in and a huge puddle of uncooked egg whites all over my (small) serving of hash browns and cut up sausage- yuck!! I blotted up most of it by the time our server spotted me and asked if I wanted them to cook them more- by then half my egg was on my napkin- so no point. I had almost ordered the omelette- should have! I was a little surprised to see they charge an extra $2 to have mushrooms in your Joes special- as far as I know that's a standard ingredient.

The service and cleanliness were the issues. I arrived with my wife and our 2 year old grandson for an early lunch and walked in about 11:01. Yelp said they open at 11am so I had no reason to think that would be an issue. The young woman at the register, whose name I did not get, seemed to be somewhat in charge as she was asking other employees to do certain things. I ordered when she was ready and went out to the patio table areas where the kids play area is. My wife asked me to ask them if there was a pooper scooper because there were a couple piles of dog poop on the play area grass. I went back to the register and just let them know there was dog poop out by the tables on the grass. She said she knew and would have someone clean it up soon. I said thanks. As I walked out of the restaurant and past the outdoor pick up window I hear her say to the other workers "you know what I hate is when people get here before we open and start asking me to clean stuff up." First, I wasn't early. You were open. Second, it's a health issue and I felt I was very nice in how I kindly let you know there was an issue that you would probably want to address. So I return to the tables and start to realize how unkept and dirt the whole place really is. Please see the attached photos. Where I probably wouldn't have left a review or photos before, the rude and incorrect comment about me letting them know there was dog poop where kids play before they eat made me decide this deserved a review. Please see the attached photos. The cashier/manager? at the very least deserves significant retraining. Maybe a list needs to be made of specific tasks a staff member is responsible for every day before opening and that staff member would initial that they completed the tasks. You know... 1) check for and clean up all dog poop on site. 2) wipe down all tables and benches. 3) clean up all trash, including all little bits of food, napkins, pens, etc off the ground. 4) check all napkin dispensers that they are full and tops are on and they are in the same place on all tables. The poop photo is the last one listed. I couldn't seem to get it first in the list. I didn't take photos of everything (more poop and trash) because I hadn't yet decided I would write a review. But here it is.

The hostess who seated us was pleasant and our server was nice. For the food - I just have to be honest and say it was nothing spectacular at all and the portion size was incredibly small for the value. I ordered the old town scramble and it was lackluster. The short rib eggs Benedict were incredibly bland - the hollandaise sauce literally had no flavor. But the short ribs were good. It is only open Thursday-Sunday 11:15 am to 4 pm. At the suggestion of the guy at the register I ordered the hamburger (which he said was the best you will ever eat) and had them add mushrooms to it. Their other specialty (other than the burger) is their mushroom sandwich. I also got their homemade potato chips and added a Diet Coke. I waited about 10 minutes for my meal to be served in a paper bag and then decided to sit inside on one of the stools. The burger is served on grilled square shaped sandwich bread and it was very good tasting. It wasn't a traditional burger with the shrooms, cheese, Dad's sauce, cheese, pickled onion and lettuce and fell apart by the time I was halfway thru it. It is definitely a knife and fork sandwich but I still enjoyed it. Also those homemade chips were also very good tasting. They had a (coating) on them and I can see why they are so popular. Yes this is a very good and unique type of place to eat. My only negative was the price. $16.25 for the burger, $5.50 for the potato chips and $3 for the can of Coke. With tax it was $26.65! But then this is California!

You are allowed to order two items at a time during the 90 minute brunch portion. You then have 30 minutes for the dessert items, though the waiter did say we could order more brunch items during that time too. I maxed out during round 5. Round 1: The MARIN COUNTY CHEESE TASTING and the PAN SEARED SCALLOP. There were three types of cheese on the plate with some fig jam and some raisin bread. Everything was super tasty. Loved the fig jam. The scallop was very nicely cooked. Loved the truffle foam. It was supposedly polenta foam but it was very smooth and not grainy at all. Round 2: CAVATELLI and CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES. I think the pasta was my favorite meal of the day. It had a great truffle and parmesan flavor. Soft pasta. Yum. The pancakes were also delicious. Nice and fluffy with melted chocolate chips. I did hold the ricotta cream from it as I know I don't like it. Round 3: LOBSTER ROLL and WAGYU BEEF SLIDER. The lobster roll was tasty but messy. I don't like caviar so I had that held. The slider was very tasty. The sauce on it was a bit too BBQ-sauce flavor for me but overall not a bad bite. Round 4: I did the ORGANIC MAITAKE MUSHROOM and another scallop. The mushrooms were super flavorful. Loved the crispy rice puffs on them. Round 5: I just did on plate - the BELGIAN WAFFLES. I loved the waffles. Crispy outside, soft inside. Warm apples on top and a big dollop of whipped cream. Yum! Dessert: There were carrot cakes, coconut macaroons, strawberry shortcakes and a chocolate pistachio balls. I only add the carrot cake there and took the rest home for later. The staff was very good. Always taking away empty plates and refilling drinks and water. A splurge of a meal but worth it for good food and service.

They were setting up for Karaoke (Friday/Saturday nights). There's so much to explore with all the knick knacks.
