Celebrated best friend's bday here with the 7 course dinner service. Perfect everything! Ambiance, service and food was impeccable. Everyone should experience this at least once. Tom was great, along with the servers who were delightful. Definitely be back!

The ambience and the beautiful view of the coast while dining was so lovely. The interior is well appointed and thoughtfully design l for conversations. The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was well timed and presented with beautiful plated pre-appetizers to prepare ones palate for the next portion of the 3 course meal. Btw, there's a larger meal experience, too

I went for the AYCE brunch a couple weeks ago and it was such a pleasant time. We went at their first seating at 10AM and were lucky enough to get a window seat without having to pay the extra fee/ Immediately upon arrival we were greeted with a berry smoothie shot followed by an explanation of the rules. How it works: the AYCE seating is for 2 hours with the first 1.5 hours dedicated to the savory courses, while the last 30 minutes is dedicated to the dessert tower. They requested that we order only 2 items from anywhere on the menu, they also told us that we should have the next food order ready when our initial dishes arrive so they can keep the food flowing. My favorite were the Beef Tenderloin, the Lobster Roll and the Caviar Tasting. I would highly recommend the scallop as well. Pro tip: Get the caviar tasting every so often so you can top off your lobster rolls, scallops and any other dishes with caviar.

late post since this was for my Christmas dinner. The Ritz Carlton is already the most excellent place to visit for the holidays and that ambience carry's into Navio. The space is lovely and tables spaced out nicely with a nice view of the outside. Their hostess, server, and assistants provided excellent service! Although, there was a special Christmas dinner tasting menu, I bet their standard tasting menu is just as delicious. And omg, the pear cocktail was soooo good. I stick with this cocktail all night. Elegantly set in the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, this is a gem of a restaurant with an impressive food experience. We had the three course menu and started with some French bubbly. The appetizer were delicious prawn drizzled in liquid nitrogen citrus composte.. yummy. My wife loved the oxtail ravioli beautifully presented. For mains we had the tenderloin, perfectly cooked and accompanied by a variety of mushrooms. Dessert was equally delicious! Service was well coordinated and the view of the kitchen highly entertaining Great night!

Came here twice because it was that good! The service is always excellent with the staff being super friendly and very attentive. The brunch by the ocean is so beautiful! It definitely creates a relaxing and enjoyable time. You can also see parts of the golf course right outside the windows in the dining area. The brunch menu is AYCE!!! I loved almost everything on the menu, but my favorites would be the scallops and the waffles. I started off from the top to bottom to try everything and reordered what I craved more of. Everything comes out so fast and exactly perfect every single time. They allow you to order 2 items at a time. I honestly would come here every weekend if I could.

This was our second time here for the buffet-style brunch. The menu looked the same, with nothing special for Valentine's Day, which disappointed me. They used to have blue prawns (whole shrimp) and lobster (whole tail), which impressed me a lot when I came here the first time. However, these favorite dishes of mine were removed from the menu, which was very disappointing. In addition, some of the dishes were too salty. That said, the service was excellent and the ingredients were fresh.

Navio at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay delivered a truly top-tier dining experience. The service made the night unforgettable -- Susie's detailed course descriptions elevated every bite, Benny ensured a smooth and welcoming atmosphere as Maître D', and Billy thoughtfully started us off with a chef's starter when we arrived HANGRY (much appreciated!). Beautiful setting, exceptional food, and service that goes above and beyond. Highly recommend for a special occasion or an unforgettable coastal dining experience.

Outstanding! I can't even write the words to express how wonderful this experience was. The flavors, the menu options, the service, everything was 5 stars. While each portion of the meal was better than the next, I think my favorite part was the cheese with honey! So simple and so delicious. We were stuffed to the brim by the end of the meal , I could barely finish the dessert and tucked the after dessert treats in my purse for later (lol) I would say the only negative was it was really cold, but I also was wearing a cocktail dress in the middle of winter so that's my bad!

This is for their brunch services which is Michelin-level quality and also priced. The whole package aim for the highest quality. The Ritz-Carlton hotel, where this restaurant is inside, is of course a high-end one. Valet parking at the lobby and you stood at the framed entrance that said "elegance." Then you quickly got distracted by the breath-taking ocean view. The mood changed to relaxed and joy immediately. It's an all-you-can-eat brunch with table service. There's a seasonal menu that each person chose two items at a time with no limit -- just order another two, since the table won't really fit all the dishes at once. Promptly, someone brought the dishes to you and they clearly were made to impress as a modern Michelin style -- small portion, artfully plated, and cooked to perfection. Unlike others, they restrained from exercising creativity. Dishes are exactly what you expected, just excellently prepared. On this front, they deserve 5 stars. The lamb rack was the best: juicy, flavorful, tender. I almost ordered a 2nd one. The lobster roll was least impressive, still tasty. The sauces or whatever overshadowed the main ingredient. It was a great sandwich, but not quite lobster roll. Since the menu is seasonal and all you can eat, there's no need to review the specific dishes in depth. Just experiment, everything tasted great. Drinks are separately charged and highly priced. The "interactive Mimosa" means you get to mix champaign with juices yourself. They offered two juices: peach and watermelon. I was not really impressed with the juices and enjoyed the bubbly just by itself better. Desserts were the flaw that dropped the 5th star. They came in a high-tea style tower and were, as expected, lookers. But the fruit/sweet/texture ratio were off -- not chocolate enough, a bit soggy, too crunchy, not sweet enough for dessert, etc. To the management: offer a complemental basic mimosa, replace your pastry chef.

An outstanding buffet brunch experience - probably the best (and expensively so) brunch service in the area. They have a variety of amazing dishes that you can choose to order buffet style. Each is perfectly crafted with amazing flavours. The best dishes by far are the scallop (we each ordered this 3 times!) and the lamb chops. The service is amazing, and the views (on the rare sunny days) are absolutely immaculate. A beautiful place for special occasions for sure!

Navio really has lost its variety and luster! They have cheapened out with their menu a million fold. It's the same high price for 1/3 or 1/2 the options of before. There is barely any variety of the dishes, and they don't even switch up the menu often. What happened to the salmon? The low temperature egg? The risotto? Their waffles are the worst waffles I have ever tasted. They're cold and crunchy. The lobster was hard and chewy. It was worth the $250 price tag (food only btw) when there were more options. Now, there's hardly anything. Who wants to spend $250 for just basically pancakes and waffles and only beef tenderloin and the scallop as the only "fancy" dishes? I hope Navio goes back to the way it was before.....with so many options to choose from. That also makes sure everyone can enjoy and have plenty!

My foodie friend made arrangements to come here for a joint birthday celebration. The restaurant is located in Ritz at half moon bay. They only do valet parking for about $35 during weekday. Okay priced. There are no restrooms inside the restaurant but there are a couple of options in hotel. It is in ritz so the decorations are top notched. Pretty throughout with a touch of holiday spirit. Their coat check is a bit casual. No tickets are given and it is stored in a closet close to the entryway. We were seated pretty quickly. Purse stool is available upon request. The lady forgot the purse stool for my friend at first but upon further request, the stool was brought over. Their chair is comfy and roomy and for my small clutch, we both fit in fine. We went with three course tasting menu. The meal started with a complimentary mushroom tempura along with a palate-cleansing drink. I find the tempura to be so so. Not much flavor and was not crispy (felt not so fresh). But the palate-cleansing drink was awesome. I had the wagyu carpaccio for the first course. The flavor combination with caviar and the crispy crostini was beautiful. The crostini was very delicate. Love it. The presentation with the smoke effect was fantastic. My monk fish was okay. The play with olive was refreshing. I personally preferred the green olive with monk fish. It was less tart and more nutty. Overall a solid dish. But my friend's lamb dish looked absolutely fantastic and a piece of art. Love the colors and treatment over the bone. Beautiful. I had the Black Forest for desert and realized that I prefer the chocolate without the cherry. It was good with the white chocolate wrap but I was craving more for a solid chocolate chocolate desert. My friends' apple and pumpkin deserts look fantastic. The apple desert looked wonderful... looking artsy! The birthday girl and birthday boy got an extra chocolate tasted desert that was lovely and fixed my chocolate cravings. The post meal sweet included a chocolate jelly ( a bit too sweet for me), a mint chocolate (okay... not a fan of mint chocolate) and a fig caramel (love it). The food portion here is on the small side. I am not a fan of bread but I found the need to eat the bread to keep myself full. Their bread offering here is sourdough. It was very crusty and has a good bite. Again, I am not a big fan of bread. I found it okay. Service here was overall very attentive and friendly. I heard from my friend that their afternoon tea is awesome too. Hoping to bring kiddos here for a try. The overall experience was great. When we got the coat, I need to tell them which coat was mine. So a little uncomfortable with their coat check process. Valet parking was great. Note for ladies wearing heels. Ritz here has cobblestone at the entry area. So please watch out. I am hoping to bring kiddos over for an afternoon tea experience. Good place to visit.

Is dog allowed in outdoor dining?

I bring my dog all the time!

Is there really a time limit for brunch?

Yes! 1 1/2 hours for everything savory. Then the last 30 minutes is just the dessert tray. I was worried about the time limit, but they bring the food out fast and we had enough time to try (and even get multiples of some items) in the allotted time.

Does Navio accept walk-in for the weekend brunch?

We made reservations, but it seems that they do.

Is the brunch buffet menu available on both Saturday & Sunday?

Both days, as far as I know.

How often does the menu change?

Is the Caviar all you can eat?I have a hard time to see that.

    Yes

What's latest price for brunch for adults? We only have 2 hours for brunch?

Current price can be found at https://www.exploretock.com/navio

Would you recommend dinner or brunch?

They are different. Brunch is more casual and is a seated all you can eat. While dinner is more intimate with either a 3 or 6 course menu. Depends on the occasion.

Is weekend buffet self serve or are there servers behind the counter to serve?

We currently serve our famous Navio Weekend Brunch in a seated buffet manner. We will present you our full menu of dishes which you can select from to enjoy at any time during your two hour dining experience. Our service team will deliver each dish…

Are alcoholic drinks included? If not, how much are the mimosas and bloody Mary's?

Our Mimosas and Bloody Marys are available for purchase for $18 each. We also do have a package available for $40 for both Mimosas and Bloody Marys served bottomless.

Is there an omelette station at the brunch buffet?

We do not currently have an omelet station available, but have other breakfast items available for your enjoyment on our menu.

My friend is Vegan. Are there Vegan options at the Sunday brunch buffet?

There are a few vegan selections but I wouldn't recommend it if you are paying about $130 bucks just to eat vegetables. It is mainly a seafood buffet so better just eat at the restaurant instead.

    What is the corkage fee?

Our corkage policy in Navio is $50 per bottle, $75 for magnum bottles.

How often do they change the menu on the Sunday brunch?

Our menu for Navio Weekend Brunch changes slightly nearly every weekend. Our chef works hard to find local produce to create dishes, because of this, the menu will flex with seasonal availability and chefs preferences.

How much is valet parking not during brunch?

I believe it costs $20 during the week and $40 on the weekends. You can always call and verify as the staff are very helpful.

What is the policy for Kids in this place? My daughter is 5. Do I have to pay 200 bucks for her brunch as well?

As of June 2019 on their Sunday brunch: "$129 per guest; $64.50 per child ages five to 12. Children ages four and under are complimentary. Exclusive of tax and gratuity. "

We had no idea a restaurant like this was out in Woodside. The unassuming cabin led to a rustic bar, which then led into a greenhouse room, surrounded by redwoods. I had the quail as a starter and the venison, as my entree. The quail was very well, seasoned and well cooked with very juicy and tender and flavorful meat. The crust was perfectly crispy and was flavorful as well. The venison did not taste gamey at all and was melt in your mouth tender, i really enjoyed this dish. Finally, I had the panna cotta as a dessert, which we confirmed with the restaurant was vegetarian without gelatin. When we check in, we informed that one of us has peanut allergy, but when our salmon order came, we saw it came with peanut (which is the og menu) so she gave us an additional salmon without the peanut. On top of that she also offer us sodas but we didn't want it. She also ask if we want more kalbi since the chef had an extra plate, so yea of course we took it. The desserts were delicious too. They're unique and not overwhelmingly sweet. Thank you Maria for taking care of us! We appreciate you! We'll be back for sure! The ambiance was beautiful for dating, family time, or group time. It's not overly noisy.

I loved watching her on Top Chef, so I've definitely been curious to try it. I'm actually in this area pretty often to charge since it's close to my daughter's school, so I've seen the restaurant from the outside plenty of times but never had the chance to go in. We arrived right when they opened at 10 a.m., and I was literally the first person through the door! Just a heads-up: they won't seat you until your entire party has arrived. Luckily, there's a really nice waiting area in front of a fireplace. I absolutely loved the decor and ambiance. It's comfortable and cozy, with lots of plants and beautiful views of the outdoors. It almost gives you a little Napa feel, which I really enjoyed. As we were looking through the menu, I didn't realize the dishes were meant to be shareable. I thought they were more like individual meal-sized plates. I ordered the Goat Empanadas with limey huacatay, along with a Bluestone Lane Coffee latte. Once everything started arriving at the table, it made much more sense that the menu was designed for sharing. The goat empanadas were really good and didn't taste gamey at all. The limey huacatay paired really well with them and added a nice brightness. The portion was decent, although I thought they were a little pricey for empanadas. The latte was good as well. We really loved the ambiance, so we're definitely planning to come back. Now that I know the menu is meant for sharing, next time I'd like to order a few different things for the table. I already have my eye on the scallion focaccia! We'll be back!

You can select between 4 different items should you choose this appetizer. We ended up selecting the smoked duck breast and chicken pâté. Both of these options were excellent with the duck breast coming topped with a small amount of flake salt. These starters were also served with crostini, mustard & pickles, and a fruit spread. The mustard provided some nice balance to the richness of the proteins. Additionally, we ordered a little gem salad which was solid. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but good. For my main, I went with the chicken thigh. The thigh was cooked to perfection with an excellent crust and rich sauce surrounding it. The meat was tender and flavorful. I also think the charred vegetables added an interesting bitterness to the meal. We both ordered dirty martinis which were also excellently balanced (extra olive juice of course). Overall, our meal was excellent. The food was good and the vibes were right. Our servers were attentive and friendly. I've heard word that Wood Tavern will be closing down soon unfortunately. Go check them out while they're still around if you want a solid meal on the fancier side.

We were promptly seated and each enjoyed a slightly bubbly glass of that Rolfshark rose. I have to find that stuff! Next, I was on to Ethel's Fancy martini- Haiku vodka and a lemon twist. So refreshing! I let my friend order for all of us. It was truly a fun, adventurous experience going through all these dishes. Yes, it's pricey, but you are getting what you pay for. The passion and creativity from the kitchen is quite apparent. I notice all the meticulous details: how the food was positioned on the plate with condiments, the little flowers, garnishment carefully placed, sauces proportionally applied. With that said, everything tastes as good as it looks. I was eating food art! It's some of the most creative fusions I've indulged in. The combinations of foods and ingredients are daring yet harmonious leading to an exceptional party in your mouth. The service is also impeccable and the atmosphere vibrant with jovial sounds of laughter, conversation and music! I loved the menu with Happy Birthday and staff signatures. Simple but a special gesture. I can't wait to feel fancy at Ethel's again! So much enticing ailment. So limited space in my stomach!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared because it involves food…read moreallergy safety based on my visit to this restaurant in early June. I have a severe tree nut allergy. Before ordering, I informed our server of my allergy and asked him to identify every dish that contained nuts so I could safely participate in our family-style business dinner. He assured me he would take care of it and specifically pointed out one dish that contained hazelnuts. Later, a golden beet dish was served to the table with no mention that it contained cashews. After taking a few bites, my tongue immediately began tingling. When I asked if the dish contained nuts, our server had to go back to the kitchen to check. He returned and explained that the dish did, in fact, contain cashews and that he didn't know they had recently been added to the recipe. This is exactly the type of mistake allergy protocols are supposed to prevent. Even after it was confirmed that the dish had triggered an allergic reaction, the plate remained on our table until I specifically asked for it to be removed. At the time, I was over six months PREGNANT and traveling alone for work. I had to take Benadryl, leave my business dinner early, miss the remainder of the evening with my colleagues, and spent much of the night vomiting, experiencing gastrointestinal distress, and recovering before a full day of meetings the next morning. I recognize that ingredient changes happen. What is unacceptable is failing to communicate those changes to the staff responsible for protecting guests with serious allergies. The next day, I immediately sent a detailed email to the restaurant's management and owner explaining what happened and asking what changes they planned to make to prevent this from happening to someone else. I never received a response even 2 months later. To make matters worse, I later learned they only removed the charge for the single dish that caused the allergic reaction, despite the significant impact the incident had on my evening, as well as my colleagues, and the obvious seriousness of the situation. I'm incredibly fortunate that my reaction did not progress to anaphylaxis. Another guest may not be so lucky. If you or someone you're dining with has a serious food allergy, I would think very carefully before eating here. A restaurant can make mistakes, but how it responds afterward (or shall I say lack of response) says just as much about its commitment to guest safety; and in my experience, that response was deeply disappointing.

We tried the famous fish and chips, garlic bread with crab meat and topped with cheese and also the calamari. The fish and Chips you can choose cold slaw or French fries. We opted for the French fries. The fish is so juicy and fresh. One order comes with 4 pieces of fish and a good amount of French fries. They garlic bread with crab and toasted with cheese was really flavorful. It has a relatively decent amount of crab meat. It's fresh crab meat and it's not to salty of fishy like some places. The calamari are small squid pieces but fried to perfection. Not overly seasoned or oily. The tartar sauce was amazing with every item we ordered. Will definitely come back again for the fish and chips

The dine-in line was a 2-hour wait when we arrived and had closed for the day by the time we left. In general, I'm not the type of person to wait for food no matter how good it is, and unfortunately I didn't think Barbara's Fishtrap was anything too special. My sister and I shared a mini fish-trap combo, Caesar salad, and a cup of soup-- we had almost 30% leftover. The variety of seafood in the combo is really nice! But I thought the breading was soggy and in general just really needed the sauce for a punch of flavor. The fried zucchini was by far the best thing we ate (it was seriously to-die for), which feels wrong for a seafood combo. :P Service was friendly and were trying their best to help everyone, but wow we could tell they were super overwhelmed. :( Would not come back but glad I tried it, especially with such a neighborhood hype around this place!
