late post since this was for my Christmas dinner. The Ritz Carlton is already the most excellent place to visit for the holidays and that ambience carry's into Navio. The space is lovely and tables spaced out nicely with a nice view of the outside. Their hostess, server, and assistants provided excellent service! Although, there was a special Christmas dinner tasting menu, I bet their standard tasting menu is just as delicious. And omg, the pear cocktail was soooo good. I stick with this cocktail all night. Elegantly set in the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, this is a gem of a restaurant with an impressive food experience. We had the three course menu and started with some French bubbly. The appetizer were delicious prawn drizzled in liquid nitrogen citrus composte.. yummy. My wife loved the oxtail ravioli beautifully presented. For mains we had the tenderloin, perfectly cooked and accompanied by a variety of mushrooms. Dessert was equally delicious! Service was well coordinated and the view of the kitchen highly entertaining Great night!

I went for the AYCE brunch a couple weeks ago and it was such a pleasant time. We went at their first seating at 10AM and were lucky enough to get a window seat without having to pay the extra fee/ Immediately upon arrival we were greeted with a berry smoothie shot followed by an explanation of the rules. How it works: the AYCE seating is for 2 hours with the first 1.5 hours dedicated to the savory courses, while the last 30 minutes is dedicated to the dessert tower. They requested that we order only 2 items from anywhere on the menu, they also told us that we should have the next food order ready when our initial dishes arrive so they can keep the food flowing. My favorite were the Beef Tenderloin, the Lobster Roll and the Caviar Tasting. I would highly recommend the scallop as well. Pro tip: Get the caviar tasting every so often so you can top off your lobster rolls, scallops and any other dishes with caviar.

Came here twice because it was that good! The service is always excellent with the staff being super friendly and very attentive. The brunch by the ocean is so beautiful! It definitely creates a relaxing and enjoyable time. You can also see parts of the golf course right outside the windows in the dining area. The brunch menu is AYCE!!! I loved almost everything on the menu, but my favorites would be the scallops and the waffles. I started off from the top to bottom to try everything and reordered what I craved more of. Everything comes out so fast and exactly perfect every single time. They allow you to order 2 items at a time. I honestly would come here every weekend if I could.

This was our second time here for the buffet-style brunch. The menu looked the same, with nothing special for Valentine's Day, which disappointed me. They used to have blue prawns (whole shrimp) and lobster (whole tail), which impressed me a lot when I came here the first time. However, these favorite dishes of mine were removed from the menu, which was very disappointing. In addition, some of the dishes were too salty. That said, the service was excellent and the ingredients were fresh.

Navio at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay delivered a truly top-tier dining experience. The service made the night unforgettable -- Susie's detailed course descriptions elevated every bite, Benny ensured a smooth and welcoming atmosphere as Maître D', and Billy thoughtfully started us off with a chef's starter when we arrived HANGRY (much appreciated!). Beautiful setting, exceptional food, and service that goes above and beyond. Highly recommend for a special occasion or an unforgettable coastal dining experience.

Outstanding! I can't even write the words to express how wonderful this experience was. The flavors, the menu options, the service, everything was 5 stars. While each portion of the meal was better than the next, I think my favorite part was the cheese with honey! So simple and so delicious. We were stuffed to the brim by the end of the meal , I could barely finish the dessert and tucked the after dessert treats in my purse for later (lol) I would say the only negative was it was really cold, but I also was wearing a cocktail dress in the middle of winter so that's my bad!

This is for their brunch services which is Michelin-level quality and also priced. The whole package aim for the highest quality. The Ritz-Carlton hotel, where this restaurant is inside, is of course a high-end one. Valet parking at the lobby and you stood at the framed entrance that said "elegance." Then you quickly got distracted by the breath-taking ocean view. The mood changed to relaxed and joy immediately. It's an all-you-can-eat brunch with table service. There's a seasonal menu that each person chose two items at a time with no limit -- just order another two, since the table won't really fit all the dishes at once. Promptly, someone brought the dishes to you and they clearly were made to impress as a modern Michelin style -- small portion, artfully plated, and cooked to perfection. Unlike others, they restrained from exercising creativity. Dishes are exactly what you expected, just excellently prepared. On this front, they deserve 5 stars. The lamb rack was the best: juicy, flavorful, tender. I almost ordered a 2nd one. The lobster roll was least impressive, still tasty. The sauces or whatever overshadowed the main ingredient. It was a great sandwich, but not quite lobster roll. Since the menu is seasonal and all you can eat, there's no need to review the specific dishes in depth. Just experiment, everything tasted great. Drinks are separately charged and highly priced. The "interactive Mimosa" means you get to mix champaign with juices yourself. They offered two juices: peach and watermelon. I was not really impressed with the juices and enjoyed the bubbly just by itself better. Desserts were the flaw that dropped the 5th star. They came in a high-tea style tower and were, as expected, lookers. But the fruit/sweet/texture ratio were off -- not chocolate enough, a bit soggy, too crunchy, not sweet enough for dessert, etc. To the management: offer a complemental basic mimosa, replace your pastry chef.

An outstanding buffet brunch experience - probably the best (and expensively so) brunch service in the area. They have a variety of amazing dishes that you can choose to order buffet style. Each is perfectly crafted with amazing flavours. The best dishes by far are the scallop (we each ordered this 3 times!) and the lamb chops. The service is amazing, and the views (on the rare sunny days) are absolutely immaculate. A beautiful place for special occasions for sure!

My partner and I had reservations today at Navio for their valentines brunch. One word to explain our visit "exceptional". A really big shout out to Arturo, Gabby and Dominique. All three made our experience that much more special. They were genuinely friendly and attentive. Food was amazing and made with purpose to soley please the customer's palate. We will be back next month! thank you for an amazing experience!

Navio really has lost its variety and luster! They have cheapened out with their menu a million fold. It's the same high price for 1/3 or 1/2 the options of before. There is barely any variety of the dishes, and they don't even switch up the menu often. What happened to the salmon? The low temperature egg? The risotto? Their waffles are the worst waffles I have ever tasted. They're cold and crunchy. The lobster was hard and chewy. It was worth the $250 price tag (food only btw) when there were more options. Now, there's hardly anything. Who wants to spend $250 for just basically pancakes and waffles and only beef tenderloin and the scallop as the only "fancy" dishes? I hope Navio goes back to the way it was before.....with so many options to choose from. That also makes sure everyone can enjoy and have plenty!

My foodie friend made arrangements to come here for a joint birthday celebration. The restaurant is located in Ritz at half moon bay. They only do valet parking for about $35 during weekday. Okay priced. There are no restrooms inside the restaurant but there are a couple of options in hotel. It is in ritz so the decorations are top notched. Pretty throughout with a touch of holiday spirit. Their coat check is a bit casual. No tickets are given and it is stored in a closet close to the entryway. We were seated pretty quickly. Purse stool is available upon request. The lady forgot the purse stool for my friend at first but upon further request, the stool was brought over. Their chair is comfy and roomy and for my small clutch, we both fit in fine. We went with three course tasting menu. The meal started with a complimentary mushroom tempura along with a palate-cleansing drink. I find the tempura to be so so. Not much flavor and was not crispy (felt not so fresh). But the palate-cleansing drink was awesome. I had the wagyu carpaccio for the first course. The flavor combination with caviar and the crispy crostini was beautiful. The crostini was very delicate. Love it. The presentation with the smoke effect was fantastic. My monk fish was okay. The play with olive was refreshing. I personally preferred the green olive with monk fish. It was less tart and more nutty. Overall a solid dish. But my friend's lamb dish looked absolutely fantastic and a piece of art. Love the colors and treatment over the bone. Beautiful. I had the Black Forest for desert and realized that I prefer the chocolate without the cherry. It was good with the white chocolate wrap but I was craving more for a solid chocolate chocolate desert. My friends' apple and pumpkin deserts look fantastic. The apple desert looked wonderful... looking artsy! The birthday girl and birthday boy got an extra chocolate tasted desert that was lovely and fixed my chocolate cravings. The post meal sweet included a chocolate jelly ( a bit too sweet for me), a mint chocolate (okay... not a fan of mint chocolate) and a fig caramel (love it). The food portion here is on the small side. I am not a fan of bread but I found the need to eat the bread to keep myself full. Their bread offering here is sourdough. It was very crusty and has a good bite. Again, I am not a big fan of bread. I found it okay. Service here was overall very attentive and friendly. I heard from my friend that their afternoon tea is awesome too. Hoping to bring kiddos here for a try. The overall experience was great. When we got the coat, I need to tell them which coat was mine. So a little uncomfortable with their coat check process. Valet parking was great. Note for ladies wearing heels. Ritz here has cobblestone at the entry area. So please watch out. I am hoping to bring kiddos over for an afternoon tea experience. Good place to visit.

We recently stayed at the Ritz for our 20th anniversary and dined at Navio. We appreciated how attentive and great the service was. Our server, Jeff, took very good care of us and made our night super special. The entire staff from start to finish were superb. The food was delicious and the view spectacular as well. Highly recommend!!

Is dog allowed in outdoor dining?

I bring my dog all the time!

Is there really a time limit for brunch?

Yes! 1 1/2 hours for everything savory. Then the last 30 minutes is just the dessert tray. I was worried about the time limit, but they bring the food out fast and we had enough time to try (and even get multiples of some items) in the allotted time.

Does Navio accept walk-in for the weekend brunch?

We made reservations, but it seems that they do.

Is the brunch buffet menu available on both Saturday & Sunday?

Both days, as far as I know.

How often does the menu change?

Is the Caviar all you can eat?I have a hard time to see that.

    Yes

What's latest price for brunch for adults? We only have 2 hours for brunch?

Current price can be found at https://www.exploretock.com/navio

Would you recommend dinner or brunch?

They are different. Brunch is more casual and is a seated all you can eat. While dinner is more intimate with either a 3 or 6 course menu. Depends on the occasion.

Is weekend buffet self serve or are there servers behind the counter to serve?

We currently serve our famous Navio Weekend Brunch in a seated buffet manner. We will present you our full menu of dishes which you can select from to enjoy at any time during your two hour dining experience. Our service team will deliver each dish… Read more

Are alcoholic drinks included? If not, how much are the mimosas and bloody Mary's?

Our Mimosas and Bloody Marys are available for purchase for $18 each. We also do have a package available for $40 for both Mimosas and Bloody Marys served bottomless.

Is there an omelette station at the brunch buffet?

We do not currently have an omelet station available, but have other breakfast items available for your enjoyment on our menu.

My friend is Vegan. Are there Vegan options at the Sunday brunch buffet?

There are a few vegan selections but I wouldn't recommend it if you are paying about $130 bucks just to eat vegetables. It is mainly a seafood buffet so better just eat at the restaurant instead.

    What is the corkage fee?

Our corkage policy in Navio is $50 per bottle, $75 for magnum bottles.

How often do they change the menu on the Sunday brunch?

Our menu for Navio Weekend Brunch changes slightly nearly every weekend. Our chef works hard to find local produce to create dishes, because of this, the menu will flex with seasonal availability and chefs preferences.

How much is valet parking not during brunch?

I believe it costs $20 during the week and $40 on the weekends. You can always call and verify as the staff are very helpful.

What is the policy for Kids in this place? My daughter is 5. Do I have to pay 200 bucks for her brunch as well?

As of June 2019 on their Sunday brunch: "$129 per guest; $64.50 per child ages five to 12. Children ages four and under are complimentary. Exclusive of tax and gratuity. "

Oh well, we proceeded with our order without them. Our food came out fairly quickly and we sat inside since it was bit windy and cold outside. We had no idea a restaurant like this was out in Woodside. The unassuming cabin led to a rustic bar, which then led into a greenhouse room, surrounded by redwoods. Our friend and our toddler loved the views. Food itself was fantastic, everything was very well prepared and there were plenty of vegetarian options as well. I had the quail as a starter and the venison, as my entree. The quail was very well, seasoned and well cooked with very juicy and tender and flavorful meat. The crust was perfectly crispy and was flavorful as well. The venison did not taste gamey at all and was melt in your mouth tender, i really enjoyed this dish. Finally, I had the panna cotta as a dessert, which we confirmed with the restaurant was vegetarian without gelatin. Very light panna cotta without being too cloyingly sweet.I really enjoyed this one too. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals as well. And had nothing but good things to say. You could stumble upon it through Yelp (as we did), discover it while staying at the adjacent Treehouse Hotel, or simply hear about it through word of mouth. The parking situation is an interesting one. After turning into the driveway from Mathilda Avenue, you have two options: turn right for valet parking or left into the Google parking lot. There are plenty of spaces available, though parking there is technically at your own risk. The restaurant told us they had not heard of anyone being ticketed or towed. We first dined here shortly after it opened in 2025 and were immediately impressed by the beautiful grounds. The hotel's eco-conscious gift shop, housed in a glass greenhouse and featuring a colorful vintage VW Bug, is a charming touch. The short walk to the restaurant feels especially relaxing on a warm, sunny day. This has become one of our favorite places to bring friends or host girls' lunches. With three distinct seating options: the dining room, bar, and patio, there's an atmosphere to suit just about any occasion, whether you're dining as a couple or gathering with a larger group. I would recommend visiting during lunch or dinner service and skipping the in-between hours. During that time, only the bar area is open and the menu is more limited. To fully experience what Valley Goat has to offer, lunch or dinner is the way to go. Despite the name, the only goat dish on the menu at the time of this review is the Goat Empanadas. My friend was initially hesitant to order them, but David, our wonderful server, and I encouraged her to give them a try. She was glad she did. There was no gamey flavor whatsoever; the meat tasted more like beef, and the accompanying sauce was excellent. Over several visits, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered and are delighted to have a restaurant of this caliber in our Bay Area backyard. TL;DR Great food, really disappointing service…read more Valley Goat is a lovely spot in Sunnyvale, with food that beautifully marries what I love about Stephanie Izard's Chicago food (flavorful, interesting, bold but approachable), with the freshness of California's amazing farms and farmers. Maybe we had lunch on an off day, but my dish came out thirty minutes (not joking) before my guests dish. If I'm making a generous guess, the server maybe didn't have the kitchen fire all dishes at once and coursed my guest's dish for a "second course." But all this is avoidable, and made for a very long and uncomfortable meal. To top it off, we spent ten minutes trying to track down our server to get the bill because -- after a two hour lunch of only three small plates -- my guest was now late to her next appointment. I want to go back to give it another shot. But I am bummed: Girl and the Goat is one of my favorite restaurants and was looking forward to having a goat closer to home.

Wood Tavern met the criteria for a relatively nice American restaurant in North Oakland. We visited for lunch and wanted to make this special for our mom, so we were perhaps a bit overdressed in business casual, but this is Oakland after all. On an ordinary Thursday, there were multiple groups waiting outside for the restaurant to open at 11:30 AM. That in itself should tell you how popular this place is. My wife and I dined at sister restaurant Southie next door a few years ago and really enjoyed it (I also rated it five stars on Yelp), so I was confident Wood Tavern would not disappoint. I initially booked our reservation using OpenTable to link it to my account and get 100 points. Since the max party size for Wood Tavern on OpenTable is four, I had to call to get it changed to eight. Due to the large party size, the restaurant also required me to give them my credit card info and be subject to a $25 per person no-show fee. Upon arrival, our tables were ready for us in the back corner near the open kitchen. The restaurant is true to its name with a shared bar and dining room space that evoke the feel of a wood tavern. Here's what we had: Wine of the Day * Rosé (100% Zweigelt), Stefan Pratsch, Niederösterreich, Austria, 2024 ($16) "N/A Libations" and other drinks * Cherry Bomb! non-alcoholic cocktail ($13) - Tilden Lacewing, Amarena cherry, lime, ginger beer, tall glass * Shirley Temple ($5) * Diet Coke ($5) * Iced Tea ($4) Soup & Salad * Red & Golden Beet Salad x2 ($16 each, one with fish added for $8) - frisee, castelfranco, pistachios, orange segments, Laura Chenel goat cheese, Cara Cara orange vinaigrette Sandwiches * The Hot Pastrami x2 ($25 each) - Emmentaler cheese, Dijon-horseradish dressing, La Farine baguette Old Reliables * Seafood Stew ($32) - rock cod, Manila clams, PEI mussels, calamari, butter beans, fennel, leeks, chili flakes, garlic toast * Pork Ragu Casarecce ($30) - Castelvetrano olives, Pecorino Romano, Grana Padano, chili flakes, parsley * Tavern Burger with French Fries on Acme Soft Bun with All the Fixins x3 ($25 each, two with cheddar added for $2 each) Everything was excellent. As for what to order, I recommend all of the dishes we got. It really just depends on what you like and/or what you're in the mood for. Everyone loved the food. The beet salad was fresh and flavorful, the pastrami was one of the best I've had anywhere, my mom raved about the seafood stew, my brother-in-law gobbled up all of the casarecce, and the burger was outstanding. Service was polite and speedy. Our server Sophia C was awesome. We split one of the salads and the stew, so they came out plated and served in half portions which was nice of the kitchen staff to do.

The pastrami sandwich comes on a baguette, which I love. It's nice to sharpen my teeth on that crunch. The pastrami itself is made in house, and it's delicious. They cut it fresh. It also comes with a small side of coleslaw. They use a Dijon dressing that is absolutely fantastic. Be sure to ask for extra dressing.

Finally made it to Ethel's Fancy and it was every bit as good as people say!…read more Service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to care that we were having a great experience. Food was the star of the night. My favorites were the toasted coconut fritters, the yellowfin tuna on koshihikari rice and the lightly cured kampachi. The tuna and kampachi were incredibly fresh, beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The fritters were something I wouldn't normally order but I'm glad we did. They were absolutely delicious. Cocktails were also a pleasant surprise. Creative without being gimmicky and each one was well balanced and thoughtfully put together. What I appreciated most was the attention to detail. Every dish looked beautiful but more importantly everything tasted as good as it looked. You can tell there's real care behind the ingredients, preparation and presentation. Palo Alto has no shortage of great restaurants but Ethel's Fancy stands out. We'll definitely be back.

The quality of our experiences have gone down over the last few visits…read more On our most recent one, my table thought our server was high because she seemed so out of it. When we asked for recommendations, she didn't really give us any. When our friend asked for vegetarian options, she was pretty condescending. Another server dropped utensils on my partners shoulders twice. They also sent food out to the wrong table. We have celebrated many special occasions here and love the food so we will probably be back. We would love to see better training of staff.
