The service was excellent. I knew I wanted some oysters and I decided to have raw on the half shell. These were some of the best I've ever had. These were like butter. I wasn't sure how much of a dinner I was going to want after the oysters, but I figured I could bring leftovers back to my room. I ordered the Redfish Orleans with two sides; the half shell salad and cheddar grits. I feel odd to say this, but the salad was to die for. The tomato was fresh, and the avocado and sliced almonds added to the flavor. The standard vinaigrette that comes on the salad was excellent. The redfish was just the right portion size. It was excellent with lots of good flavor. Paired with the cheddar grits, I was in heaven. Amazing!!!! We stopped by on a Tuesday evening around 7pm. Little bit of a line, we were told a 45 minute wait. It ended up being about 20 minutes!!! We sat upstairs, love the decor. Matt was our server, simply amazing with a great personality. We started with Oysters Sampler, highly recommend for sure. We visit NOLA frequently and these were as good if not better! Wife got the Filet Orleans with the sweet potato crème brûlée and asparagus, cooked to perfection. I got the Royal Redfish with a side of jalapeños hush puppies. Always a solid choice for great service and food. Self parking is a short distance away. Any of the chargrilled oysters apps are a good starting point. My go to dinner entree favorite is the Seafood Pot Pie which comes with 2 sides. The sweet potato is awesome along with either the half shell salad w/ house dressing or the new potatoes. I split a dozen oysters with my dad. The oysters were the biggest we'd had in a while and very flavorful. I had the boiled royal reds. I had never had this type of shrimp before and I very much enjoyed them. They had the texture of crawfish with a sweetish flavor like lobster. We always eat here when we drive in so easy and excellent food service and ambience. We usually end up here 2-3 times in a week.
