Side salad and gumbo with fry bread and a diet soda! Great lunch!!
    Doug M.

On a trip through the gulf coast...specifically Biloxi... and was craving some gumbo!! This spot popped up highly reviewed on Yelp and decided to give it a shot...and it was very very good! I love love love gumbo...and their staple chicken and andouille sausage was fantastic! Went with a cup for lunch -- along with some fry bread and a small salad. The price is reasonable and the food is tasty! Worth a visit for sure!

Best Cajun food we have ever had! Our server was so friendly and attentive! We wanted to go back before we left town but they are closed on Sundays. It's a small place but very cozy. Don't overlook this place!

Great spot for Cajun in Biloxi. My coworker & I stopped in for lunch. Staff was friendly, fast and helpful. We split a skrimp po'boy. It was delicious. He had a cup of jambalaya and I had red beans, rice & sausage, both were delicious.

A casual spot with a diner vibe and Cajun flavors ~~ Small parking lot with marked stalls on the right and a more open area to the left. I assume there's street parking nearby. ~ We went during a weekday for lunch, and it was just us and one other table, which made for a relaxed experience. ~ The place has a classic diner feel, which I love--a nostalgic feel for me. They offer fountain drinks along with canned and bottled sodas. Here's what we had: Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya ($14.95) - Comes in a generously sized bowl. My friend, whose only reference is the boxed stuff, said it was great. I agree--it was flavorful, though a bit drier than I expected. The Swamp Tour ($24.95) - A sampler of jambalaya, gumbo, etouffee, and red beans & rice. The etouffee and gumbo were a little saltier than I prefer, but still delicious. I loved the sweetness of the red beans--it balanced everything out nicely. I'm a sucker for samplers because I like trying a bit of everything. White Chocolate Bread Pudding ($7.95) - Definitely on the sweet, but a great way to wrap up the meal. Bonus points for the mini beignet on top! Overall, it was a nice outing and worth the visit. I can see this place getting busy, especially on weekends--it's a smaller space with limited parking. They clearer know what they do, and do it well.

Best jambalaya and catfish! Steps from the Beau Rivage! The staff were amazing! Don't miss this local place! And get the bread pudding! Prices are incredibly good too!

This restaurant currently ranks as one of my all time favorites! We stopped by on a roadtrip and I have been thinking about the Red Beans & Rice ever since. They were ahhh-mazing and I am half tempted to drive 8+ hours just to get some more. Aside from the Red Beans & Rice though everything else was also delicious! Our server was so sweet and while service was a bit slow we had such a great experience here. It may not be the place to go if you are on a time crunch, but other than that you need to go here! I also loved that their gumbo and jambalayas are not made with shellfish which was so nice! Everything was super yummy and the beignets were made fresh and were just the perfect finish to a great meal. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only a few tables and a small parking lot out front. It has a great southern vibe and there is fun artwork on the walls. If you come on a busy night I could definitely see that you might need to wait, but when we arrived there was only two other parties. Lots of people were getting takeout though so that is always an option. I am hoping I will be back in the area just so I can stop by and eat here again!!

Came here for all the 5-star reviews and all the comments are accurate so I am not going to repeat them. However, there is one thing that needs to be mentioned... How can the white chocolate bread pudding be this good?! Best bread pudding I've ever had. Had the samplers of the appetizer, entrees, and their catfish. Best flavors on our trip by far.

Wow. This place is just as good as the reviews say. Christie at the front, was a delight and while they were sold out of tjambalaya we came for, we opted to get the catfish po boy and a bowl of gumbo. Both perfectly seasoned. My friend deemed the catfish the best he's ever had. The sandwich was overstuffed with fried, yummy fish! The fries were crispy and salty. Sweet tea, brewed in house, was not overly sweet, but done just right. They're making a fresh batch of jambalaya today so we're going back tomorrow. I ate so quickly the only thing I got a photo of was the beignets which were hot and perfect! Updated: Went back again today for the jambalaya and the catfish special which is on a bed of jambalaya and covered with crawfish étouffée. The flavors here were unbeatable. I could eat the etouffee by itself it was so good. Definitely my highest suggestion! I'm so happy we went back. We had a seafood combo at our hotel last night and it was not impressive. Parrain's does their fish RIGHT!

Get the swamp tour and boudin egg rolls! The beans and rice and gumbo is amazing! Beans and rice was different than anywhere else and on the sweet side but some of the best

This place has just taken the throne as my favorite seafood restaurant in Biloxi. They left me blissfully, miserable, but in the good way when you're full of good food. I should start by saying that the service was phenomenal, very attentive and prompt. We were checked on by three different employees during our meal, including our server. We started with the crabcake, oh my God that freaking huge crabcake. I could've ordered that just for a meal by itself. I've never had a crabcake so packed with lump crab meat. It had fantastic taste incredible cook, and did I mention it was jampacked full of lump crab meat. The only issue that I had with this dish was I wanted more sauce with it. My main was the triple tail, and shrimp combo, which was absolutely fantastic. I'm a Gulf seafood snob, and I think I've done a few seafood reviews, this place, nailed it with both the fish and shrimp. The breading on the fish was delicate and very light, the shrimp was perfect as well. Even the fries were fantastic, Parmesan and rosemary fries paired perfectly with ranch dressing. If these things weren't hand cut, then they fooled me. Also the cocktail sauce, with just a hint of malt vinegar I think, fantastic. This is a very cool, clean and comfortable restaurant. I love the vibe in atmosphere that they've crafted here, absolutely fantastic. This is my new number one seafood restaurant in Biloxi. I would and Will drive an hour from Mobile just to come eat at this restaurant.

Both were served with the same crispy wontons and were delicious! Flavor pact to the brim with dry pieces anywhere. Then the entrees arrived and things hit the floor. My wife ordered the coconut triple tail that was okay. The searing wasn't the best and the flavor was lackluster. I ordered the traditional fish and chips which was of Atlantic Cod. The batter had no flavor and was soggy on some of the pieces. Out of the five fish pieces I had, three were soggy and the other two tasted very fishy and cold in the center. The chips were okay as they didn't have a snap to them. We skipped dessert since this wasn't helping the night with our stomachs. Overall; they started pretty high on appetizers but fumbled after

This is a what a 5* place looks like!…read more On account of how hot Biloxi is right now Our tried and true place wasn't going to cut it. So I looked up seafood restaurants not outside . This one had good reviews and so We tried it. Honestly I wished I would have came here for my birthday which was the day before! It blows The Den out of the water at Treasure Bay! The vibe is classier, the service was impeccable, and the food was 10x better. We started with some drinks: A Apple caramel martini for my son, a pink pearl martini for me, and a pineapple colada for my hubbie. They were are nice drinks. Next for apps hubbie got an oyster sampler which included oyster Rockefeller, Florentine, and Bienville oysters . He also got a dozen raw . I got fried green tomatoes with crab cakes between them. I enjoyed the tomatoes. The crab cakes were too wet for my liking but it's a personal preference only. The taste was good. For entrees I got a seafood sampler which included fried oysters, hush puppies, fried shrimp, and I think catfish. It was exactly what I was hankering for. We got some boudin balls. They were ok . My son got the brunch burger with an egg! For dessert a cinnamon roll bread pudding for my son and a banana foster cheesecake for my husband and I to share. We went up the stairs there is a bathroom up there. Be careful going down if you have had a few drinks lol. Everyone was friendly. We are so glad We found this place off the main strip . Honestly the prices are comparable to anywhere else . If you are looking for a place quiet or even somewhere special to celebrate a birthday or even an anniversary . This place would be a good choice. I suggest going as soon as they open or early evening. After 5 I bet the place would be getting packed. By the way upstairs it feels like you are in Nola . It just has this vibe. Nothing but good things to say about this place and We are definitely coming back possibly the fall!!

For mains, I devoured the linguine--loved the mushrooms in the sauce, super flavorful. Shoutout to Maria, our server--she was phenomenal. Super attentive, guest-focused, and genuinely on top of everything without being intrusive. She made sure every table around us was taken care of, checked in at the right times, and even noticed we barely touched the Brussels. After we shared our feedback, she kindly removed them from the bill. Maria is also just effortlessly warm and personable--made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Thank you, Maria! First off, our waitress was a delight and properly trained. She did a great job and was helpful in answering our questions. We started with apps of the truffle fries and the brussels. The brussels were delish; the fries were tasty but they were standard thin-cut frozen kind, and though they did have a nice flavor of truffle and a snowing of parm, they didn't taste like they were fried in truffle oil but it was spritz on after the fry. They were good, just seemed to employ shortcuts. For heavier apps we ordered the baby lamb chops... I make lamb chops at home and they're amazing; when dining out it's always hit or miss. There's a fat that lamb has that if not trimmed off it gives off a very off-putting flavor. These had that flavor and I was so disappointed. And if you see my pic of the dish, I'm not sure what was happening with the sauce sloshed all over the rim of the dish. On another note, my hubs ordered oysters and said were delish. Moving on... I chose trout topped with lump crab which was on par with other places I've had it. And we also ordered wine, which I'll note for anyone interested that the bottles are priced exactly double than if you buy it at the store. I expect there to be a mark up, but just know what to expect. Combined, it was a delightful meal in a beautiful setting with a menu and presentation that like feels they strive to keep old school finer dining alive and overall we enjoyed experiencing it even with the minor downsides of some of the dishes we had. The stars reflect my review weighing of the atmosphere, service, menu variety, quality, and price.
