It's the kind of place you might overlook if you're not aware of what it is. The grounds are well-maintained, and you can constantly see the staff working hard to keep everything looking pristine. The hall itself is spacious, featuring a stage, a kitchen for cooking, a bar area, and a main hall that can host a variety of events. During this event, they made good use of the DJ on the stage, set up several round tables for dining, and the catering company provided the food, while we utilized the bar area for cold beverages. The food was just okay, but there was plenty of it served buffet-style. My only complaint was that five people were in need of forks. Although everyone spoke English, when I asked for forks, the lady immediately started speaking in another language, which made me feel uncomfortable. She had a thick accent when she explained the situation. Eventually, they both spoke in English. This experience almost made me consider writing a negative review, but I wanted to evaluate my overall experience of the event. The hall has plenty of restrooms, and they are kept clean as well. Overall, although the space is a bit older, it is very well maintained and seems perfect for hosting events.

There was no prior warning regarding the need to walk down a lot of stairs for anyone where this would present a challenge. After making it down the stairs, the first impression of the banquet room was not appealing! The entrance to the venue where I'm accustomed to the brunch being held is very elegant and classy. The room appeared as an after thought as I was told by a worker that they were having an event upstairs in the usual room where the brunch is held. We were seated quickly, which was the only positive. We never had a server greet our table and was never offered champagne, which is customary. The glasses remained empty. Empty plates were left to pile up on our table and we had to flag someone to clear them. The array of food was extremely limited, cold, and in some cases dry and overcooked. The person at the omelet station had a hard time keeping up with the demand of people waiting as she had no help. In the past it's usually been at least two people cooking omelets. The food and venue have great potential and ive always enjoyed my experience, but the lack of attentiveness and poor organization severely impacted our 80th birthday celebration! We definitely did not receive the level of service expected and previously received at this price point. in addition, the 20% pre added service charge was not earned, which by the way was the only time the server appeared, which was to present the check!
