First of all, I've been meaning to add a review from the 1st visit which was awesome but a long time ago. I had a meeting in Orange planned at a BBQ joint of a friend but the guy I was meeting caught Covid and cancelled so I decided to find some local BBQ. I see the post here on Yelp so I give them a call. Brisket was ready! I drove over and got 2 pounds of brisket with the sauce on the side (I wanted to check out the meat). It did not disappoint! I drove by my wife's work and gave her a couple pieces and she's picky and she loved it!! But the REAL thing I want to point out is the owner, Patrick. He is a man on a mission for God. He has a zeal and passion for what he does that overflows into his worldview. I don't exactly know what is in store but as Patrick said, it's called Hallelujah not Patrick's so I am confident this man will make much of God. Friendly service and amazing food! We ordered a combo with chicken, brisket and pork ribs. We also ordered mac n cheese, greens and potato salad it also included cornbread. Everything was absolutely delicious especially the home made bbq sauce but trust me the meat didn't need it. The meat was flavorful all on its own. Service for take out was fast and easy. I've tried the ribs, rib tips, and the brisket and all is ridiculously amazing. The meat is soooo tender and the bbq reminds me of some good home grown (uncle with the Jesus slides and apron) bbq. This bbq does not scream restaurant at all #Iykyk it screams "uncle cledus made it"! The cornbread is amazing. It's not overly sweet but definitely soul food type sweet cornbread. I've tried all the sides. The only sides I like is the baked beans and the potato salad which is a huge compliment because I don't even eat my mothers or grandmothers potato salad. Stay away from the Mac n cheese and greens because you will be disappointed. I even tried doctoring them up and nope... however everything else is 100stars. Located on the North side of Bear Valley Road just East of Pawnee Road you will find this great BBQ joint. The family and I have have ate here a few times and their favorite is always the brisket. Meat is always smoked and cooked fresh everyday, according to the owner. Some of our favorite sides are the mac and cheese and collard greens. Service is friendly and great every time we've gone to pick up some food. I recommend ordering ahead if you don't want to wait. Good food takes time and I do believe they run out of certain favorite meats later in the day. Brisket seems to be one of those popular meats. I wish I found them earlier, now I got my favorite place to eat in the High Desert. Found them on Yelp, otherwise it's kind of hard to notice them from the road, they don't have huge signs. The interior is very simple, but we come to BBQ joints not for the interior, right? I've ordered Brisket Sandwich and that was one of the best sandwiches I can think of. I'm writing this review and this sandwich comes from my memory in front of me and yes, that was THE sandwich. I had my first experience with Hallelujah today at the Charlie Sampson Rodeo. We paid for VIP access which included a plate for each ticket holder. After waiting in like for 30 minutes we were told they needed to switch some things around and return on 15 minutes. We asked if we could place our orders and return when they were complete or could they create a list so our wait wasn't 30 minutes again. We were met with frustration and disrespect! The man resorted to his emotions and claimed we were being negative while side talking to another confused customer about us. Now, as business owner it's important to take responsibility when you're not up to par. Understand that the wait was the issue and not the delayed food and create a way to circumvent my concerns especially if you've been prepaid. Emotions aside, keep your customer happy and not get a negative review from someone that paid you. I left the rodeo without my meal because I feared retaliation for requesting what I paid for. I can't say of the food was good or not but I will say based off my experience with the unprofessional staff I'll pass on them all together #dobetter read more

I just realized I put 7 out of 10 for the mac and cheese when it was supposed to be 9 out of 10. Only thing missing is incorporating a protein in the mac and cheese but I understand how difficult it is to make big batches for everyone to eat. Had Beef Ribs which a bit salty. The Mac was bland. The Greens was too peppery. The Links, well I have to say, "I'VE Never in my 60 plus years had a link that appears to have ground beef with heavy spices inside of the casing which was an "Unfamiliar Taste " for it to be a Hot/Mild Link. The chicken was seasoned somewhat salty and peppery. The Greens were peppery with no acidic taste no meat. The Cole Slaw was not sweet at all, too much pepper and bland. The Pull Pork was extremely Bland, zero flavor unless you add BBQ Sauce, while all the other meats are seasoned heavy. The ONLY three items that was at quality level was the Cornbread, Baked Beans, and the BBQ Sauce. Other than that. The Service was great. The Price for Chicken is 4 for $15 which is pricey. After reading all the reviews I hate to be the Blunt to the back of your head(s) but the cook needs to lighten up off the SALT, PEPPER! Too much!!! Not everyone can handle a tablespoon of salt & pepper on a piece of chicken or Rib...Lighten up. For this Rating, if the seasoning wasn't a HUGE issue you may get a 3/4 star. This part sadden me. I give Halleluiah BBQ 1 Star! Sorry, I'll wait 1 year before returning. Who knows, may it will be saltless ! read more
