Every year we walk through the maze of animatronics, jumping things, witches, clowns, and shocking figures and every year we get "jumped" by one of two of them. This year like any other you have your fair share of Adult humor costumes, the standard Witches, zombies and fruit costumes for men and women...and the kids are the Disney characters, cartoon character of the season or something a bit less "child like"... They have masks, makeup, teeth, glassed, hats and many accessories to choose from. Blood, makeup, lighting and so much more. The downfall...no bathroom. I spend about $100 a year on costume stuff, and there is always a coupon ready, a discount to be had, or someone to jump out at!

D Haberdashery was one shop I am pretty sure I haven't set foot into until recently. There is a great eclectic variety of vintage clothing here and other types of merchandise. Mainly dust collectors really but very intriguing all the same. The real human skull in the display window definitely grabs passersby's attention as you go past on the sidewalk. Not sure if that's for sale since it wasn't something I really wanted despite having a taste towards the macabre. Maybe "too real" I guess. Yes so see it behind the counter seem to be the only one behind the counter to help out customers this also caused problems with the idea that most people that were there were actually there to pick up balloons so.. . Not only were customers waiting to choose and pick out their balloons and also waiting for them to be filled but then had to wait even longer for the one associate to finish with the next balloon order so she could check both people out at the same time after walking the entire store I did only find 1 other associate and that seemed to be somebody facing somebody facing product.

To purchase balloons, choose the latex and take to the checkout to pay before waiting at the balloon station. This was my first and only visit to Party City. I can find better items for less elsewhere and not wait around beyond any reasonable time.

She took my measurements, explained sizing, patterns, fabrics, looked through a book of men's fashions with me, and allowed me to try on multiple ensembles--all this for one guy, looking to rent one suit at an undetermined date in the future. Her shop is amazing, filled floor to ceiling with every kind of period costume and accessory. In the little corner of this labyrinthine place that was my fitting room, there were fur trapper's garbs, a papoose on the wall, canes, hats, crowns, a sword, and a robust selection of gentlemen's attire that gave me many options for addressing the necessesaries of my attire and equippage. I am very grateful for the chance to come here to transform into someone from another time and place. Thank you.
