    scandinavian meatballs

We stopped in for lunch during a visit to Serenbe around noon. It was pretty empty at the time, and the ambiance is really lovely: it's a pastel, airy sort of cafe. For lunch, the four of us ordered the Nordic Salmon ($15), Crispy Kale & Brussels Sprout Tacos ($12), Halsa's Scandinavian Meatballs ($15), and the Bleu Greek ($11). The counter service was fine, but the food took a pretty long time to come out, especially given the fact that there weren't a lot of other diners at the time. And though all the food looked good -- and seemed to be made with fresh ingredients -- we just didn't find any of it very tasty. It felt like the kitchen had slapped together various ingredients with more of an eye towards presentation than taste. The meatballs, for example, sat on a bed of unflavored egg noodles; I found the salad components in the Nordic salmon a bit puzzling (too many unflavored potato slices!); and we had to drown the tacos in hot sauce to give it some zing. Sadly, we expected a bit more, given the price point and the fact that it's one of the few more casual dining options in the community.

Fried chicken sandwich w/ broccoli and cheddar soup & chicken Caesar wrap w/ sweet potato fries.

Would do zero stars if available. With all of the great restaurants spots available in Serenbe, this place stands out as the absolute worst. Came in to a relatively empty establishment with maybe 5 tables filled. Made our order, and sat on the patio. A group of 7 people came in a few minutes behind us, and sat outside on the patio. They all got their meals and almost finished before we got our meals. We went in to complain and was greeted with a rude demeanor. Once we got our food, they brought the wrong things. They did not bring the soup, and have the fries to the wrong meal. After the long wait coupled with the complaint, Instead of making it right, they only brought a side place for us to transfer the fries over. Would not recommend. Take the trip over to farmhouse or blue eyed daisey instead.

First time at Halsa..We visited this cool spot after a day at the Spa at Serenbe..The service was good with warm welcomes. I ordered a turkey burger and salad, both were good. I also ordered an Americana and a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was good. I'll have to come back soon

Be well, Live Well, Eat Well is the overachieving vibe of this place. Halsa has the most inviting ambience. The service was efficient and the hostess was very knowledgeable of the food options. I love when employees recommend their favorite meals instead of just saying "It's up to you".... I mean live a little. I had a salad, the gummiest appple pie cookie in the world, and a well crafted pineapple margarita.

Tucked away in Serenbe, in Chattahoochee Hills. Outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar setting near the window. . Seeing "Scandinavian", I immediately thought it would be like IKEA's food court and I'm glad I was wrong. Healthy food, nice variety, great staff and vibe. Grab and go cooler, serves alcohol - great margaritas!! Live music the most recent evening I went, an Open Mic. Great Gluten-free brownies and chocolate chip cookies are AMAZING. I've built my own bowls and never been disappointed. The Turkey burger is absolutely fantastic (available on GF toast, or a pretzel bun). Smoked salmon plate for breakfast is also delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Lunch here on Nov 4th, we had a party of 6 & pulled up in our various Serenbe property golfcarts lol. I had the Greek salad & Everyone else had the poke bowl (which although my salad was delicious, after seeing everyone's poke bowl I was jealous). They were great about our groups dietary needs - one of the women has hashimotos & can have absolutely zero gluten or dairy and they were so kind about requests.

The food here is great! Light and refreshing and reasonably priced! The service was also lovely. A definite repeat. I only wish they were open for dinner.

I feel this spot is more about the ambiance than the food which is kind of disappointing. We went for lunch and ordered our food online to go. On a positive note That patio is very open and airy, perfect for people watching and catching all of Serenbe's quaint vibes. The interior dining area is cute. The staff is very pleasant, the ordered food was quickly prepared. We should've just walked in and ordered our food off the menu or read the menu from the website and called in our order because the oblong ordering system doesn't have or allow you to order from the full lunch/dinner menu. The online system only allows you to order sandwiches but if you were to walk in or order over the phone you'd know there are tacos and salads available also. That was a bummer. My cousin ordered the salmon burger with a side of fruit. Her side of fruit? A container of grapes, which is disappointing considering the Serenbe community is known for its farm. Local seasonal assorted fruits would've been the expectation. I ordered the curry chicken sandwich as a salad and it was simply an ice cream scoop of curried chicken salad on top of mixed greens with a halfed slice of tomato. Nothing more or less. I asked for my side to be hummus but unfortunately they forgot to include it. The food is pretty unremarkable and not full of flavor. Dare I say the food is only a few steps removed from not being very good? Maybe the salads and other offerings are better? Perhaps breakfast is a better option or maybe grabbing drinks on the patio for the cool vibes? I honestly will likely choose to eat at other tried and true Serenbe favorites.

Newly opened in the Serenbe community. Open from breakfast to dinner. Very modern and European feel to it. Lots of healthy and vegan options available but tasty dishes. (Hard to find places who can accomplish both) They made iced latte upon request as well (only hot available on menu) and this was excellent. Great customer service. I loved the tuna poke bowl especially. Tacos were good as well, couldn't tell there wasn't meat (tofu was the protein) Definitely would like to return when I visit around the area.

Tuna poke bowl. Good flavor and fresh vegetables but very little tuna.

While I love the concept, execution was a bit of a miss during our 6pm visit. Menu options feature salads, sandwiches, and some specialty entrees. It's a quick dining service option where you order at the counter and find your own seating. The space is open and airy and also has great patio seating outside. This side of Serenbe is still being developed with only houses surrounding the restaurant - so not any shops or parks to peruse before or after your meals, unlike the other restaurant options at Serenbe. Ordering at the counter is easy enough, but it took a while for our orders to come out. While we did order one custom bowl, the 3 other entrees were off the menu. We ordered two tuna poke bowls and it had great flavor and fresh ingredients, but it was the stingiest amount of tuna we've ever received for a poke bowl - especially for $16. (See picture.) My husband ordered the chicken curry sandwich and a side salad and it was fine but pretty bland and also meager on the chicken. The staff was very nice but perhaps they needed more support because the wait time was very prolonged and many of the tables on the patio were not cleared and sticky. I had to get my own wipes out (I have two young kids, y'all, of course I carry wipes at all times!) to wipe our tables down. If they work on speed and weren't so stingy on protein, I'd really like this spot.

Not like it used to be, but maybe I'm older & established not needing so much anymore…read more But wow, still a nice store. Wear your walking shoes & if you are someone who needs breaks now & again know there is a big cafeteria for you to relax. I see folks sitting in the staged rooms as well. I guess OK?! I'll share pics. The kitchen & home decor is downstairs with the furniture & purchase kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms is upstairs. Even a staffed playroom for children- check them in, shop, pick them up. I guess the costs are still good. Inflation happened, no doubt. I don't see the selections I used to, just over stocked with the same items to fill spaces. You need to experience this yourself. A big parking deck isn't too hard to navigate. Very large vehicles may be tricky, so if you can drive a smaller car or maybe park outside of the desk is a good option.

IKEA is still my favorite stopping point in downtown Atlanta. I love the simple and practical items…read morethey carry. IKEA members still get free (very good) coffee in the upstairs restaurant. Today we had 8 pieces falafel with garlic dressing on couscous $4.99. Not bad. However, my first choice was Salmon salad plate. It had slice of raw salmon, lettuce and potato salad on it. They only had two plates, and I missed it because I let people go ahead of me on line. This was 11:15 am. When I asked for more , I was told that they didn't have enough employees to prepare more. So sad! I will always support IKEA but I'm not so impressed with the cafeteria anymore.
