This is by far the best flower shop I've ever been to or dealt with. It's a small mom-and-pop shop with an incredible selection from their very deliberately picked providers. Absolutely unreal service - the owners and their son were working when I went and were incredibly helpful when ordering flowers before Valentines Day for delivery. They took the time to explain different arrangement types and what they could do for me if I wanted a specific flower emphasized within a given arrangement -- which I did. Possibly the best part was when they actually delivered the flowers a little less than a week later - the woman (I didn't see who it was but I imagine it was one of the owners who helped me out) waited for my girlfriend to come and get them (at her office) from the receptionist just so she could see the look on her face. Unique and beautiful arrangements! I live in Atlanta and needed to send my sister who just had twins something. I absolutely cannot stand the typical arrangement that is overloaded with babies breath, fern cuttings along with a few flowers or those shops that have online ordering but nothing looks like the picture you ordered because it's "not in season". Well this shop is not them and you will be blown away! This is a review of my past 4 experiences over a 1 year time frame. As a guy it's always been a pet peeve of mine when flower shops take advantage of men by having the free will to do what they want with a budget. This place DOES NOT do that. So many times I've run into the situation of bringing home a 60 dollar bouquet that my girlfriend says has 20 dollars worth of flowers in it, because I've given OTHER flower shops free will. This place has time after time impressed her consistently with their beautiful arrangements while charging me a reasonable price. Yesterday I had an experience where a few hydrangeas died on me early. I called them and sent them some pictures so they had an idea of what was going on. Every other flower was PERFECT as they always are and they agreed their was something wrong a few flowers. They felt so bad about the situation and genuinely want you to walk out as a satisfied customer. They gave me a free credit at the store to replace all the hydrangeas and even rounded up to make sure I had a great experience with the replacement flowers. The ladies that work there have always been so friendly and genuinely want to make sure you have the best flowers to impress your ladies. They could not have handled the customer service side to a small problem any better. Although they were really positive I was not expecting the OUTSTANDING service I received. I needed a rush order of beautiful roses and Geneva and her staff was able to make it happy. My friend called within 90 minutes to say he received them and how beautiful they are. In addition to the beautiful flowers the customer service is outstanding. I've never had quite an extraordinary experience like this. My wife and I moved to the area in the last year and I had been looking for a reliable florist to keep fresh flowers in our home. I went to Halsted Flowers because of the excellent Yelp reviews. Ordering flowers was incredibly easy, I just called in and gave a price I was looking to spend and a light description of what my wife likes - the flowers were ready when I came to pick them up, and they were lovely. I later had a slight concern about the flowers (green hydrangeas) and Geneva, the owner of Halsted Flowers, was just absolutely tenacious in resolving what I considered to be not a big deal (the green hydrangeas were an accompaniment, not the core part of the flower arrangement). It's evident she takes enormous pride in her work and her small business, and keeps incredibly high standards for customer happiness and satisfaction. A strongly undervalued part of looking for a florist is the value of trust - as a guy and especially with flowers, there's always a momentary hesitation b/c you never really know what you're going to get when you order from a florist you've never been to before. That trust is something I'm willing to pay a premium for and what engenders customer loyalty. I can't recommend Halsted Flowers enough. read more

Wandered in 20 mins before closing (accidentally) and even though everyone was prepping to close the store they were still very friendly and helpful to me. High quality, fresh blooms at fair, transparent prices. When I asked about the peony price it was given with an explanation as to why they were the price per stem and when the price would go back down. Ended up settling on gorgeous, giant fragrant roses. They wrapped them beautifully (and took all the thorns off the stems!!) and they even came with instructions on how to keep the blooms fresh. read more

I stopped by the shop around 3PM the day before Mother's Day and requested 2 wrist corsages for later that evening when we would be having dinner down the block for Mother's Day with my parents and my wives parents as well. Not only did they make 2 gorgeous corsages despite being very busy but delivered them to our table at the restaurant when they were ready. They asked me my budget and what colors I wanted and then got to work, putting together a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I have not used this florist before, but I needed a local one in Lincoln Park. I loved their website and the reviews were good so I took a chance. Was I happy I did! Not only were the flowers beautiful, but the service from Polly was a breath of fresh air. She talked me through what flowers looked great on hand for a "welcome baby girl" arrangement and offered advice on vase size, colors, fragrance and proportion. She called me at home to discuss the delivery later that day and even sent a photo of the final arrangement for me to view. There's a lot of variety and the prices for the smaller plants are super affordable -- many as low as $6.
