I was treated to wine and completed the whole thing with gel polish. I highly recommend Tom. My daughter got the citrus pedicure. It was a $10 upgrade from the classic pedicure. It was probably 2/3 the length of my very detailed pedicure, but it still had a sugar scrub, paraffin wax, hot towels, lotion, and massage. Jimmy did a wonderful job. I will say their pedicures are very good at a good price. My GEL polish (that cost extra) was peeling off three days later (I work in an office so it wasn't due to extreme activities). The gel polish for my hands and toes alone was $55... Today I went to get the polish and nails removed. If you have acrylics you know they can and should be soaked off. I asked for them to be soaked off and they ignored that and cut then ripped the acrylics off my nails; it HURT. She also cut my toe nail in a way that made me BLEED. So, safe to say I will not return to this establishment. The two starts are for the pedicure I got 3 week ago but it was not good enough to return.

I've been going there for a while because ... well ... I live relatively close (in Margaritaville) and it's convenient. If there was another nail salon in a reasonably close proximity, I certainly wouldn't go back to this establishment. The latest snafu, aside from getting a toe infection from non-sterile equipment a couple of months ago, was not getting what I paid for. The nail tech "Nan" who couldn't divert her attention away from tik tok on her phone filled the water basin with cold water, joked about coming back tomorrow when it warms up, handed me the color and service catalog and when I said I didn't want color ... just a pedi she asked what kind of pedi and hit me with the same joke ... To come back tomorrow. It must have been a joke because she cracked herself up by repeating it at least 4 times. I'm no fashion guru but so, I'll never grasp the attraction of torn jeans that makes a person look impoverished instead of fashionable. Nan was not fashionable ... she was sloppy with torn jeans, her shirt was dirty and in disarray. This is an appearance service industry and appearances should be kept professionally casual. Ah, but maybe I should have gone back tomorrow (which I did ... read on). The pedi, went as follows ... soak feet in cold water for 5 minutes then cut the nails. She dug out a hangnail from my right big toe after cutting. She used a buffing pad (not the cheese grater) on my callous heels then massaged my calves before wrapping them in a hot towel and said I should come back tomorrow only this time she was offering some sort of massage. What is missing from the description is that Nan never addressed my cuticles, never filed, shaped or buffed my cut nails and didn't smooth out my coarse heels. Feeling like she was draining my life energy I paid my bill and left completely disappointed. So here we are ... the next day and you bet ... I went back ... to complain. Not to get a refund or a discount on future services ... just to complain about services rendered or lack thereof. Cheyenne called for the manager and told her I wanted to make a complaint. The manager queried "complaint"? in a loud enough voice for me to hear but didn't bother coming to talk to me as she probably feared that I was going to demand a refund. And as experience has taught me, Asians do not like to give refunds or discounts. Maybe now this will get their attention. As for going back to The Noir Bar ... I have always experienced an so-so to meh experience but never a bad one ... until now.
