    Pastor burrito
    Shinead D.

First off - I ordered through door dash. This may be why I was so displeased but never less, let me continue. I ordered a quesa-torta, and two burritos. The quesatorta was bleh. It's described as a grilled cheese sandwich with your choice of meat. Usually quesa-tacos have cheese on both side and meat in the center so I kind of expected the torta fort at be same and was disappointed to know it has cheese on side and meat stuffed inside. We ordered birria and The meat tasted 'dirty' like it had an unpleasant aftertaste (like minerals from tap water). Def won't order again and don't recommend their birria at all. Also, the gotta came whole and not cut in half which old be helpful. Burrito - asada with rice and cheese. Asada was tasty. My son enjoyed his plain burrito. Burrito - Al Pastor Firstly the burrito was not wrapped property so it fell apart. Secondly, the beans overpowered the burrito and DoorDash doesn't allow you to ask for easy rice and beans. And lastly, the cheese was all clumped on one side which was actually really unappetizing. The Al pastor was tasty. So I do recommend that meat. I was really looking forward to this as my bf just recently went and his experience was actually good. Needless to say. i was extremely disappointed and won't likely be back.

Service wasn't as slow as others mentioned. The place was full but the wait time for our order was not long at all . Restrooms & tables were spotless . I will agree with most others though on seasoning . The management at this location needs to test the food several times a day to ensure consistency.... The guacamole & carne asada definitely didn't hit right because there wasn't hardly enough salt when prepared. Adding at the table is fine but we all know you want to start eating when we get our plate , not desperately needing to salt it before taking a bite . Green salsa is pretty mild but the red has a kick

Taqueria El Poblano is something special. I've lived in Southern California my entire life and have been to countless taco spots, but there are ZERO like this place! Be prepared--the place gets busy and the line can be long, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Get there before 5 PM and you'll usually be in good shape. They have a great system and do an impressive job getting food out quickly and in order, even when they're packed. I've had quesabirria tacos all over Orange County, and these are straight fire--not spicy fire, but packed with incredible flavor. The homemade tortillas make all the difference. The birria tacos are lightly fried with their red sauce and are unbelievably delicious. They come with consommé (Mexican beef broth) for dipping, and wow... game changer. I also tried the regular carne asada tacos with guacamole, onion, and cilantro. The meat has this amazing smoky beef flavor that really stands out. And as a Mexican rice snob, I have to say their rice is excellent--light, fluffy, and full of flavor. If you decide to dine in, you might have to wait for a table. This place is definitely the hot spot in Anaheim right now, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. The staff and servers are all super friendly, just be patient. Quicker doesn't always mean better! I'll definitely be back.

This feels like a very authentic taco shop, and it definitely must be a hidden gem because it was packed on a Wednesday night. I was craving tacos, and made all of my friends go here, and we really all enjoyed it. I got the tostada with al pastor, and two regular al pastor tacos with everything on it. One of my favorite things about this spot is that their tacos come with guac! The tacos were pretty filling for its size, and I loved the crunch on the tostada. There's a lot of seats, limited parking, and yet it fills up super quick. If it's your first time (like us), you order at the counter, and they call out your number for you to pick it up. Pro tip: they also have a salsa bar to grab various levels of salsa and limes!

It was my first time here, and I came with my cousin. Unfortunately, we were both really disappointed with our experience. We ordered a variety of tacos. I got two asada and two pastor tacos, while my cousin ordered two pastor, one asada, and one birria taco. The tacos lacked flavor overall, especially considering they're advertised as Tijuana-style tacos. The pastor was also extremely greasy, which made it difficult to enjoy. We also tried the horchata, which is advertised as being homemade. Unfortunately, it didn't taste authentic, and even the color seemed off compared to traditional horchata. The cleanliness of the restaurant could definitely be improved. Most of the tables were dirty, and there was quite a bit of trash on the floor, including napkins and utensils. On top of that, the customer service wasn't very welcoming, which added to our disappointment. Overall, our experience was not the best, and unfortunately, we wouldn't return.

I've been coming to Taqueria El Poblano since before their original location burned down, and the food has always been outstanding. The flavors, quality, and consistency keep me coming back year after year. If you're ordering through DoorDash or another delivery service, remember that delivery issues aren't the restaurant's fault. Review the food, not the delivery experience. And if parking in front is full, there's parking across the street--it's a small inconvenience for food that's absolutely worth it. This place deserves 10 stars, but Yelp only lets me give 5. Highly recommended! Try something different every time!

we've been meaning to try this spot since it opened up, and we finally got to go on Taco Tuesday around 7:30pm! parking lot is kinda small here and we had to circle 2 times, but we got lucky and were able to snag a spot. the line was slightly out the door, but it moved quickly and we waiting about 10 min to order. we ordered 4 asada & 4 al pastor tacos, each one like ~$2.27 for taco tuesday i believe - which was GREAT! and each taco comes with salsa, guac, onion, and cilantro! i also couldn't help but add a 6oz serving of rice and beans for ~$1.61 each, which i thought was a steal lol. plenty of indoor seating, and it's kept nice and clean! we were able to sit right away. there's a little salsa bar w/ 3 salsas (all pretty spicy imo but yum!), limes, & radishes, too. we waited ~20 min for our food, which to us wasn't too bad on a peak busy day. - al pastor: so flavorful and tender! was a bit oily, but honestly that didn't bother me too much bc i loved the flavor. was a bit heavy tho - carne asada: LOVE!! i loved the beef flavor, not heavy in my stomach, and it paired really nicely with the green salsa! all in all we're very happy to have finally tried this spot, and we will definitely be back for another taco tuesday and to try the birria tacos bc they looked AMAZING!

I visited this taqueria for the first time today after seeing it on Instagram. I ordered three tacos (asada, al pastor, and labio) and was disappointed -- the tacos were pretty flavorless and lacked seasoning. The guacamole looked like it came from a bag: watery and tasteless. The dining room didn't help the experience -- it was dirty and the trash cans were overflowing. Hope they improve the food and cleanliness, because the location and menu looked promising.

Hidden gem tucked among the Anaheim tile row (I may or may not have made that name up). We showed up a bit before the evening rush, so we still got a spot in their lot. There's a large indoor seating area plus a few tables outside. You order through one of two cashiers on the left. We stuck to tacos, though they also do tortas, vampiros, mulitas, and more. The tortillas are handmade and the guacamole is as fresh as it gets. We got asada, al pastor, birria, and labio. The asada was well seasoned with a nice char-grilled smokiness. The al pastor seemed to be missing pineapple, but it was still well seasoned without being overwhelming like some other spots. I personally found the birria a bit dry, though my wife liked it, so I'll try it with consomé next time. The labio, though, was cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. I've never been big on those "odd ball" cuts, but I'll definitely be back for more labio tacos. The salsa bar is small, practically a side cart. The red salsa tastes mostly arbol, maybe with some guajillo and vinegar; really good and spicy. The salsa cruda (with visible diced veggies, not pico) is also spicy and flavorful. The green salsa was nothing special. Overall, prices are fair and you skip the long lines other hyped spots have. If you're on State College and don't want to wait, this is a solid choice, a great addition to the Platinum Triangle development. PS - this is all based on a takeout order, next time we'll eat there.

A little disappointed with this place. I remember seeing them on IG having these big TJ style tacos with this nice guacamole smothered on top, only to come and get a tiny taco with watery guac that makes you have to rip the paper off the tortilla. Always try the asada and it'll tell you everything you need to know about a taco place. I'm sad that it was just ok, it lacked flavor and all you will taste is the gas or propane they use to char the steak, big and stringy pieces will have to trying to eat your burrito like noodles . The rice and beans literally saved the burrito and the little bit of guac they put in them. My son did enjoy his chicken tacos and he's picky, good taste and the hand made tortillas were good, just so little and thin. I will say the Al pastor is probably their best meat, if i had to ever come back here, that's the only kind of taco or burrito I'd order. Salsas are good, spicy! And they have lemons and radish at the salsa bar. There is a lot of room to sit, either by the windows or the tables all in the middle. There was a little bit of a line, but not really that many people for how long it took to get 3 tacos and a burrito. Horchata id def recommend and they have all the other sodas people like. It's 4 dollars a tiny taco and 13 for a burrito. Being honest I'd much rather go to el cholo or even Alberto's down the street. If there is no parking, honestly i wouldn't waste your time waiting.

Me and my friend decided to try this place out mostly because it has the same name as the taco place we use to go to a few years ago but it burned down. We were pleasantly surprised because the food had a great taste and was adequately priced. Service was fast and friendly. The menu also included other items such as burritos, tortas, vampiros and mulitas. Apparently this place used to be a hammer diner but was remodeled into a Mexican food restaurant. Decently clean interior and clean restrooms. Definitely coming back.

I had seen this place on a feed and I knew the location from when it was a catch all burger place, it's close to Brewheim. Stopped in today after going to Angel Stadium to have them remove a security tag from a purse I bought last night... anyway... the four delicious tacos made everything okay. Two Birria and two Labio, the labio was ridiculous! Probably the best taco I've had in years. Four tacos and a water 13$... with a lady pressing the tortillas and throwing them on the flat top. Plenty of seats and a salsa bar too, but I asked for everything on the tacos and they were perfect. Parking is tight, especially if it is lots of work vans and trucks.

Best tacos close to disney highly recommend tacos huge also quesadilla huge and delicious and worth the price highly recommend

Scotty took what was already a great date night and made it truly memorable. Not only was he the best server we've had since we started dining at Puesto, but I'd go so far as to say he was one of the best servers I've ever had anywhere. Scotty had a calm, understated demeanor that was part of his charm. He was genuine, attentive, extraordinarily kind, and somehow managed to keep my Diet Coke with lime full the entire evening. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and was always there at just the right moment. Best of all, he laughed at my dad jokes. While the food was outstanding, Scotty made the experience even better. His service elevated an already great meal into an exceptional evening. We will absolutely be requesting Scotty's section every time we visit Puesto Anaheim.

The agua de melón was delicious, and the side of beans was excellent. We also ordered a plain quesadilla, and it was surprisingly really good. The menudo itself was just okay--not bad, but nothing special. The reason I'm giving 2 stars isn't because the staff were rude, but they definitely weren't friendly or welcoming. My biggest concern, however, was what I witnessed with the condiments. When you order menudo, they bring a plate with limes, onions, and chili. I watched two employees clear tables, throw away some items, but keep the unused onions and uncut lime wedges from customers' plates and take them back into the kitchen to be served again. Even if I didn't use all of the onions or limes, that doesn't mean I didn't touch them. Reusing food that has already been on a customer's table is unsanitary and unacceptable. After seeing that, it made me wonder whether other items, like leftover chips, might also be reused. Whether or not that's the case, what I witnessed was enough to make me lose confidence in their food handling practices. Unfortunately, I won't be returning

Came in for a little date night on a Saturday evening. The whole staff was friendly and accommodating, always quick to refill drinks or clear empty plates. We also had to try the Chori-brussels which are flash fried Brussels sprouts with chorizo, balsamic reduction, and Oaxacan cheese. The ribeye wasn't the highest quality but it tasted good, the fries were perfect. My fiancé got the burger which had chorizo, melted queso Oaxaca, and an egg on top. Not gonna lie it was absolutely delish! I want to come back just for the burger. All in all we had a great time and I would definitely come back for some other menu items, especially to try more of their margs and specialty cocktails. Thanks Urbana!
