Would definitely recommend checking out for a nice dinner out. We were really impressed by the dedication & the attention to detail, that we all got to see with the open kitchen. Very fun to watch cooking over the charcoal/wood fired grill. Great service & the staff all had a great understanding of the menu with helping us choose a well rounded meal based on our preferences. Nice ambiance and perfect for a date night!

I heard amazing things about Hamdi and when I was able to secure a reservation, I was elated. When you enter the restaurant space, you truly feel you have been transported. The focal point of the restaurant is their open kitchen with its wood oven and grill. If you are a smaller party highly recommended trying to get seated in the semi-circle table facing the kitchen, truly amazing. The staff was so friendly and attentive. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff were so kind and made it truly a special birthday. It was our first time and our waiter really helped us order the right dishes as well as the right amount of food. For drinks, we ordered the seasonal cocktail which was light and refreshing and a glass of Turkish wine which had lovely notes of tart cherries. For food, we ordered the Havuc, Kereviz, Tavuk Pirzola, Pide, and The Kebap. Everything was so delicious and full of flavor. Such amazing combinations of textures that I have never tasted before. My favorites were the Havuc and the Kebap. Something I loved was that all the dishes had an earthy tone to them whether that came from the nuts or the wood fire. For dessert, we ordered the Sutlac. Similar to a rice pudding but had a rich vanilla taste along with their toasted nuts. Perfect way to end our meal. Few things before heading to Hamdi. Street parking is limited around the restaurant so I recommend giving yourself time to find parking. The restaurant is also quite small and intimate. For larger parties, they do have a separate dining space outside to accommodate. Can't say enough amazing things about Hamdi. If you're looking for a nice dinner spot or to celebrate an occasion, I highly recommend putting Hamdi on your list.

This is hands-down the best meal in Seattle right now. There -- I said it. If you're lucky enough you'll score a seat at the chef's table, which is quite literally dinner and a show. With the open kitchen, the blazing fire, and the team hard at work, you get not only incredible food but a peek into what goes into making the magic. On a recent Friday, I made a reservation to celebrate a special occasion with my +1. We were promptly seated and greeted (the owners remembered us!) and sipped on our proseccco while we perused the menu. From there, our server walked us through the dishes; they change seasonally, so some items were new, others I'd had before, and yet even others are modified to showcase the flavors of the season. This weekend we went straight down the vegetarian menu, ordering almost all the appetizers. Everything was truly wonderful, but the standouts remain the kereviz (rich smoked yogurt, celery root, Turkish figs, pine nuts, and crispy quinoa). For me, this is a flavor and texture mind meld and remains my favorite dish on the menu. But we were also surprised by a new addition: the patates salatsi, a "salad" of chickpeas, sweet potato, Turkish cheese, fennel seeds, and puffed rice. There's a slight crisp on what's sprinkled on top, making this such an unexpected runaway hit. (Trust me: just order this.) We also decided to get the pide, which has been updated with seasonal veggies and nettle puree. I love this dish every time I go. Though stuffed, we had seen a neighboring table order the Turkish tiramisu, which a server sprinkled with grated salt from a Filipino salt block. Did I mention this is dinner and a show? If you're lucky enough, you'll get to experience both.

One of the best restaurants in Seattle! First the food: there was four of us so we shared quite a few amazing dishes. The Kereviz was amazing, I could have eaten the whole bowl myself but I had to share. The Chi Kufta was a perfectly spicy bite that was a flavor explosion. The Pide was so comforting and warm. The kebab was one of the best, if not the best kebab I've ever had - and I've had a lot of kebabs over the years. So juicy and flavorful. The steak was so flavorful and perfectly executed. It was bar none the best steak I have ever had. The rice pudding desert was such and amazing combination of sweet and salty and beautiful textures. Even if you think you don't like rice puddings, you have to try it. You will change your mind. Finally, the cocktails were so unique and delicious. Perfectly balanced. Don't miss out on them. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service was spot on. So warm and inviting and not pretentious in anyway. An overall wonderful dining experience. I forgot to take pics of the deserts, the steak and the drinks!

Still one of our restaurants to dine at in Seattle! They are kid friendly and our daughters love to dine here. The hostess/coowner is very sweet. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes here.

The food here was absolutely incredible. I came here for a special occasion and was thoroughly impressed. The service is amazing, the ambiance is great for an intimate date and the quality of the food is great. The only thing keeping it from a 5 is it's a little pricey -- but well worth it for a special occasion! I'll be back for sure.

My husband and I came here for an anniversary meal and had an amazing meal. We had a great time at the tables facing the kitchen, so fun to watch! We tried 4-5 dishes and really enjoyed all of them - a large selection. The pide and the chicken wings were out favorite! We also had a couple drinks - they were good but nothing that really stood out.

Parking is tough but the food is good and ambiance is romantic. I dream of the pide!!!!!! It was so delicious and cheesy oh my gosh. Coming back just for that! The chicken wings and salad were also great. The steak was just okay, lacked some flavor in my honest opinion. I would come back for the pide and to try other items !

Leg of lamb steak. Sauce was incredible I wanted to lick the plate.

Amazing restaurant. Great service nice atmosphere and every single bite was heaven. Went here for a birthday dinner. We were late arriving and they were so nice about it. One of the beta restaurants I've been to in Seattle.

Every dish was unique. Seems like their menu rotates as we couldn't find the options that our friends had recommended us to try.

It was basically cheap minced beef wrapped around kebab skewers. I couldn't finish it, and my stomach isn't feeling great tonight. The service was awful. They basically dropped the food at our table, and no one checked on us to see if we needed anything until it was time to pay. The ladies' restroom was flooded with toilet water, which tells me a lot about their hygiene standards. I had a good experience here a couple of years ago, but I would never eat here again or recommend this place to my friends.

This is worth a review!!…read more Situated across from our hotel, this caught our eye upon arrival and we Missed having dinner here by minutes but went for lunch on our way to the train station. Its influence is Mediterranean in the best possible way. Exclusive menu of options that offer you the "best of" experience. We started with hummus platter which was so yummy. Not smooth like Lebanese but perfect nonetheless. We also enjoyed the Gorgonzola salad and Paloma pita and a side of two falafel. Made to order and seasoned perfectly. Food came quickly and the service was just right. We sat outside and enjoyed the cool morning and just watched people wander by. They have a good wine list and other drinks but we just had water. Also, the chocolate chip cookie got two thumbs up from the Cookie Monster. The restaurant has plenty of seating and had Friday night Flamenco. We were $80 out the door which felt a bit steep but it was the best food we experienced in Our short stop in Seattle.

It's still a quaint cafe with fantastic, reasonably-priced food and great service. And the neighborhood is more charming than ever. I love that Pioneer Square is thriving again.
