    Ribeye

We were so excited to try the reinvented restaurant from Renee Erickson--and the space did not disappoint. It's absolutely beautiful, very much in the same vein as before but with updated details like the cabinetry and accents that make it feel fresh and fun. Breck, the manager, took care of us at the start and was an absolute joy. He's fantastic at his job--genuinely cares about the customer experience, is open to feedback, and goes above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. We kicked things off with the martini cart (I'm a martini girl, so this was a highlight). It was so fun having my drink made exactly to my liking. Food-wise, we ordered the beef tartare, green salad, ribeye, frites, and Eton mess. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and paired with the service, we'll definitely be back. The Eton mess was a standout dessert--light, balanced, and the perfect way to end the meal. Just be aware of the included 22% gratuity. That said, the one miss for us was the ribeye--which is a bit surprising for a steakhouse. This has actually been my experience the last three times I've dined here back when it was Bateau: the starters, sides, and desserts outshine the steak. Our ribeye wasn't cooked evenly and, more importantly, lacked flavor--even with added salt and the house-made steak sauce. We had a great conversation with the manager about it, and hopefully this was just a one-off. There are at least three other steakhouses in Seattle where I've had better steaks, so I'm hopeful they continue refining this. Torn between 3&4 stars here but really the only issue was the steak.

Stumbled across this revamped restaurant while exploring the hill as it has great street appeal. The decor is amazing! A very elegant, mid modern classic vibe. I loved the green tiling in the bathrooms We sat at the bar for 2 hours and the bartender was fabulous! Very welcoming and had engaging conversation throughout the night. The steak was tender enough to melt in your mouth and very well seasoned. However, I was disappointed it didn't come with any sides especially given the price point. I really enjoyed the texture of the mashed potatoes, a little gummy. They were perfectly creamy and well made. Overall a good experience except for the pricing. 22% service charge added that goes solely to the restaurant. Tax and tip is expected on top of that. This service fee should definitely be baked into the menu pricing and felt like a money grab. I likely wont be back for that reason and give it 6/10

The restaurant has a warm, inviting feel without being overly formal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I started the evening with an Old Fashioned, and it was excellent smooth, well-balanced, and a perfect way to kick off the meal. For dinner, we had the fresh fish and potato croquettes. The fish was incredibly fresh, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. You can definitely tell they use high-quality ingredients. The potato croquettes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired wonderfully with the meal. What I appreciated most was that we never felt rushed. We were able to sit back, enjoy our food and drinks, and take in the atmosphere. It's the kind of place that's great for a date night, special occasion, or simply enjoying a nice meal while visiting Seattle. If you're looking for excellent food, great cocktails, and outstanding service in Seattle, Le Coin is definitely worth a visit. I'll be sure to stop by again the next time I'm in town.

There was a complimentary amuse bouche, small root vegetable soup with a crunchy sunchoke chip- flavorful and nice start to the meal. From there we ordered: - hamachi crudo - light, fresh, flavorful - gambas - butterfly grilled and served on a yummy sauce that was a little salty in its own but good to dip bread in - salad - shareable portion and liked the fresh herbs - steak frites - came with a good portion of skirt steak and fries, but was surprised by the cook on the steak- it was well done. The meat was chewy although not tough so did still make a dent in the entree, and was pretty heavily doused in sauce. Fries were fine. Would likely try something else next time - creme brulee - solid execution, would order again - chocolate mousse- ok, was on the sweeter side Overall would return for drinks and apps if in the neighborhood.

I got the St. Germaine spritz and we shared the lemongrass steak nachos, frites, and kimchi arancini! St Germaine spritz: I love a cocktail/alcoholic beverage that is on the sweeter side. I don't really love when can I taste the alcohol in a mixed drink so this drink was definitely up my alley. It was super refreshing and had a nice bubblyness to it. Lemongrass steak nachos: the lemongrass was definitely a standout taste in these nachos which I loved! I loved the combo of the fresh ingredients like the cilantro, lemongrass, and cabbage with the steak and queso, it helped to balance all the flavors and didn't feel heavy Frites: pretty standard tasting fries, not too skinny and not too thick which I liked! The chili mayo had a nice smoky sweet flavor and it was a great dipping sauce! Kimchi Arancini: these were crispy and had a nice gooey cheese in the middle which definitely had a cheese pull. The kimchi taste I felt was relatively mild which is great for people that don't want such a strong sour kimchi flavor, I love kimchi so I could've definitely had it stronger. They do give you a side of kimchi to go with it, but I didn't love the kimchi it came with. I'm used to getting kimchi from Hmart or other Asian grocery stores but this was pretty mid to me. I stopped by over the weekend and tried the almond croissant and an iced vanilla latte. I was honestly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering it's in such a tourist-heavy area. For comparison, the coffee shop upstairs (storyville) had lattes for around $8.50, while here we got two coffees AND two pastries for about $24 total. For the quality, I thought that was a really good value. I order vanilla lattes everywhere I go, and this one was fantastic. The space itself is also pretty large -- we were able to find seating easily even on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Seattle. It was very crowded, but still found a spot and the long line went by quickly. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're visiting Seattle!

However, I did think the pricing was very reasonable here. There is a small selection of indoor seating, and of course, they have a full coffee menu to enjoy, too. The vibe felt somewhat formal and not the cozy local bakery vibe I enjoyed at other spots in Seattle. The hardest part about visiting Pike Place is that there is so much to choose from and so much competition. Are there better bakeries? Probably. Is Le Panier great and easily accessible on the main strip of Pike Place? Yes. That fact makes it a great choice for your pastry needs.
