A newer Korean spot located out in Sherwood area. They have some decent banchan that comes with ordering a couple of the special set entrees. We ordered a few dishes to share. The bossom dish was great and the meat was not dry or bland. The spicy pork and Dak bulgogi were decent. Overall, nice place to check out.

I am beyond thrilled that Sherwood finally has a Korean restaurant! I got an order for takeout - seafood pancake, original soft tofu soup, and galbi. Everything was phenomenal. The seafood pancake was light, crispy and packed with seafood, the shorts ribs were perfectly seasoned, and the soup was very, very, spicy. I also received some white rice with my order and a generous assortment of banchan. It's expensive, but I am happy to pay the prices for food like this. I am really looking forward to going back again and trying more of the dishes. There is limited parking directly in front the restaurant and the other businesses next to it.

Finally, a delicious Korean restaurant has opened up in this area. As someone who lives down the street, we were patiently waiting for Hamjibak to open. Once we saw the "Soft Opening" sign go up, we went that same night. There was a limited menu due to the soft opening but they had most of the things we wanted to try. We were served some traditional banchan of assorted pickled vegetables, japchae, potato salad, etc. They were all very tasty and some of them had a nice spicy kick to it. We were first served galbi and bibimbap. The galbi was nicely cooked and juicy. The bibimbap had a great variety of ingredients. The person who ordered it started to eat it without the gochujang bc it wasn't initially brought out, but he said it was amazing especially after adding the sauce. The next items to come out were the seafood sundubu and the ham ji bossam. The seafood sundubu was my absolute favorite. The broth was so rich with flavor with nice bits of seafood throughout. The bossam was the crowd pleaser of the night. The pork belly was cooked well and didn't have the funky pork flavor you can sometimes get. The kimchi that came with it... was SO GOOD. If we had more stomach space, I might have ordered more to go with our meal. The last to come out was the army stew. They set up a burner to finish cooking the final touches of enoki and glass noodles. There were lots of spam and hot dog in the boiling broth. I was pretty full at this point but I saw the rest of the people at my table inhaling it. I was told I absolutely at least had to try the noodles soaked up with the broth. I got a bite of noodles with the broth and I can say this is my favorite budae jeongol I had ever tried. The broth had such a complex and umami flavor to it. I wish I could have eaten more! This is also made for at least 2 people, it's a large serving. All in all, everything was a hit. Nicely seasoned, well-cooked, and the spice level was perfect. We're definitely going back, especially to try some of the items from their full menu.

Who has been hiding this place from me. Indisputably the best food in Sherwood. As a hapa kid, I got to watch my Mom devour the most delicious kimchis while my spice-challenged white Dad got to destroy the bossam and galbi. We absolutely over ordered and there's nothing I'd leave out on the second go. I'm attaching the current menu, as the soft opening means they have slightly fewer options so if you order online, for now, use this! We got the spam and sausage stew, spicy pork bibimbap , galbi, and bossam. The owner also gave us soup on the house! She was so so kind and helpful too. Genuinely, even if you've never tried korean food, go NOW, this is a great introduction especially for little old sherwood. And if you're a fan, why haven't you gone yet??

    Tasty Galbitang

This was my first time trying this Korean restaurant; I was very pleased with the yummy Korean-style short ribs clear soup (Galbitang ). Also, the environment was tidy, and the staff were polite.

Really nice clean authentic Korean restaurant in Sherwood. Just opened a month ago

Really nice new authentic Korean restaurant in Sherwood. Seating area is nicely padded. Owners are definitely good cooks

    Bimimbap

Although the menu is a little pricey, the food is very delicious and the portions are very good. Authentic family owned Korean food. I think what people might forget is that rent for small businesses in Sherwood is rather high and it makes sense that their prices would be a little more expensive than one would expect. Definitely worth supporting this restaurant!

This new place is great. Loved the atmosphere with upbeat music and the owner was super friendly. Food was great, definitely didn't expect that much food, but I loved they have Bibimpap with appetizers included and the option to add my own spicy sauce to it.

Finally!!! Korean food in Sherwood. We have been going to Beaverton where there are many choices. Went for lunch and it was hands down the best Korean food I have had. The banchan is next level good. Lotus root, apple salad, japchae and so much more. The fish was very flavorful and the bossam was melt in your mouth. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside, and tastefully done--great date night ambiance! 10/10 for me. Great job!

Plenty of street parking available and the storefront had lovely plants at the entrance. Walking in felt a little crowded and awkward because of the small entryway. But it did look like they have a few booths, tables, window seating, and even a bigger private room in the back. The lunch specials were $9.99 which was an amazing value for sure! I got the Happy Bimbim Bap with chicken and my hubby got the Spicy Pork Bento Box (the bigger one for $15) The friendly staff set up our table and gave us all hot and freshly made green onion pancakes which was a nice touch! (Although it was a little too oily) Our food came out super fast - within 10 minutes of ordering?! The kids and I enjoyed all the veggies and egg for my bimbim bap but the chicken were cut until small pieces were just ok. My husband did enjoy his Spicy Pork with a good amount of spice (they asked him if he wanted spicy) and came with potstickers, California rolls, rice, and a side salad. My daughter actually really loved the green bean banchan and the daikon and kimchi were super delicious too! The owner came to our table to say hi to the kids and each table got watermelon as dessert (the Asian way!) She was so nice and offered extra watermelon for the kids if they wanted it. It also looked like they do a lot of local community work with the homeless and were super involved in providing food to those that need it. Such a lovely local restaurant. If you're in the area definitely come give it a try!

The meat was incredibly flavorful, and everything else in the box was delicious too. I've always loved bento boxes because they feel like the perfect portions of a little bit of everything. They also bring out several complimentary little side dishes at the beginning, which is such a nice touch. I added pictures because, of course, I can't remember exactly what everything was called! And I have to mention the people who work here, they are SO nice. Like genuinely, incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I think this was only my second time here since moving to Salem three years ago, and I'm not sure why we don't come more often. Definitely going back!

THE FOOD: - For 2 adults & 2 kids under 6, we ordered: The Fox & The Crow flight of meat, mandu, japchae, & gyeran jjim. This was more than enough food for us & even had leftovers to bring home. The quality of meat was great! You do cook it yourself, unlike some other Korean BBQ places in LA & NYC but that's also part of the authentic experience. I thought the banchan was not wow but decent. I was pleasantly surprised w/ how much I liked their japchae which had the perfect chewy noodle & flavorful so I do recommend getting that w/ ur meats & the steamed egg is good here too. OVERALL TIPS: - Don't be afraid to ask for what you want! We requested lettuce to eat w/ our meat, more banchan & asked for a new grill before we grilled our 3rd meat. Servers were nice & we didn't wait long for anything. - For those with kids: I recommend coming here right when they opened for dinner, around 5pm. Their big booths worked will with kids & having enough space for them to color & do other activities so the mamas could enjoy our meal. I've had Korean BBQ many times in Korea, so I have a pretty good point of comparison. This restaurant does a basic, solid job--it's nothing particularly special, but it gets the fundamentals right. The price is reasonable for the quality and portion, especially considering it's in the U.S. and located in Beaverton.

I couldn't really taste it nor the basil. The chicken nuggets were okay, typical nuggets. I'm glad I tried but maybe eating it in person would've made it more fresh and the buns would be less soggy.
