Finally, a delicious Korean restaurant has opened up in this area. As someone who lives down the street, we were patiently waiting for Hamjibak to open. Once we saw the "Soft Opening" sign go up, we went that same night. There was a limited menu due to the soft opening but they had most of the things we wanted to try. We were served some traditional banchan of assorted pickled vegetables, japchae, potato salad, etc. They were all very tasty and some of them had a nice spicy kick to it. We were first served galbi and bibimbap. The galbi was nicely cooked and juicy. The bibimbap had a great variety of ingredients. The person who ordered it started to eat it without the gochujang bc it wasn't initially brought out, but he said it was amazing especially after adding the sauce. The next items to come out were the seafood sundubu and the ham ji bossam. The seafood sundubu was my absolute favorite. The broth was so rich with flavor with nice bits of seafood throughout. The bossam was the crowd pleaser of the night. The pork belly was cooked well and didn't have the funky pork flavor you can sometimes get. The kimchi that came with it... was SO GOOD. If we had more stomach space, I might have ordered more to go with our meal. The last to come out was the army stew. They set up a burner to finish cooking the final touches of enoki and glass noodles. There were lots of spam and hot dog in the boiling broth. I was pretty full at this point but I saw the rest of the people at my table inhaling it. I was told I absolutely at least had to try the noodles soaked up with the broth. I got a bite of noodles with the broth and I can say this is my favorite budae jeongol I had ever tried. The broth had such a complex and umami flavor to it. I wish I could have eaten more! This is also made for at least 2 people, it's a large serving. All in all, everything was a hit. Nicely seasoned, well-cooked, and the spice level was perfect. We're definitely going back, especially to try some of the items from their full menu.

This new place is great. Loved the atmosphere with upbeat music and the owner was super friendly. Food was great, definitely didn't expect that much food, but I loved they have Bibimpap with appetizers included and the option to add my own spicy sauce to it.

Since I was super hungry we decided to go with two orders (Bossam and Bulgogi) which meant a total of 12 sides.

THE FOOD: - For 2 adults & 2 kids under 6, we ordered: The Fox & The Crow flight of meat, mandu, japchae, & gyeran jjim. This was more than enough food for us & even had leftovers to bring home. The quality of meat was great! You do cook it yourself, unlike some other Korean BBQ places in LA & NYC but that's also part of the authentic experience. I thought the banchan was not wow but decent. I was pleasantly surprised w/ how much I liked their japchae which had the perfect chewy noodle & flavorful so I do recommend getting that w/ ur meats & the steamed egg is good here too. OVERALL TIPS: - Don't be afraid to ask for what you want! We requested lettuce to eat w/ our meat, more banchan & asked for a new grill before we grilled our 3rd meat. Servers were nice & we didn't wait long for anything. - For those with kids: I recommend coming here right when they opened for dinner, around 5pm. Their big booths worked will with kids & having enough space for them to color & do other activities so the mamas could enjoy our meal. Lastly, don't forget to snap a photo of your kids by the Jinro soju frog up front too!

My husband said he wanted Bossam, but hilariously, he changed his mind after seeing the menu and didn't even order it. He ended up getting the Spicy Jokbal, which I was feeling a little skeptical about (pig feet!), but after one bite, I was hooked. Really flavorful and quite spicy. There is a bit of fat/skin, but we just ate around it, although I knowsome people would be put off by that sort of thing. When asked if it was any good, our server's eyes lit up and she said yes, it is one of her favorites. She did also confirm that we liked spicy food, which was good, because it definitely had some heat. Other items we ordered: Jjinmandu - Can't go wrong with dumplings! Kimchi Jiggae - My favorite Korean soup and they put a nice amount of pork in it. It was bubbling for at least a full minute before it calmed down. Impressive. Beef Bulgogi - A classic and well made here. Sweet and savory. And of course they had a nice selection of Banchan, to round out the meal. Our server even noticed which ones we liked the best and brought out an extra tray for us. We brought home a lot of leftovers because we always over-order, but I'm not mad about it. I'm looking forward to eating everything again tomorrow. If you like Korean food, definitely check this place out.

Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and high quality. The service was excellent as well. Our servers were warm, attentive, and made our family dinner feel extra special. One thing that really stood out was their homemade mandoo, which is surprisingly hard to find these days. Both the steamed and pan-fried mandoo were exceptional. The spicy Korean fried chicken was on another level. My daughter is a huge Korean fried chicken fan, and she said it was even better than some restaurants that specialize only in Korean chicken. The prices are also very reasonable and family-friendly for the quality you receive. Highly recommend checking this place out!

The stew comes with a generous portion of tender beef short ribs and noodles. The meat is incredibly flavorful and so tender it falls right off the bone. We've been here more times than we can count and have tried a variety of dishes, including the pork bossam, seafood pancake, kimchi rib stew, spicy pork and squid, and beef bulgogi. Every dish has been consistently delicious. At this point, we've visited so often that the staff recognize us when we walk in. We don't live particularly close, but whenever we're craving Korean food, this place is always worth the drive.
