Their jjajangmyun is so good - noodles are chewy, the sauce is so flavorful, and it comes with a fried egg! There are several different kinds but I keep going back to their regular one. All of their other dishes are also so good. My favorite is their tangsuyuk. The chef/owners are always trying fun little things throughout their year so the menu is never boring. Really friendly service and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Got to try this spot with a friend. The server was very friendly and attentive. Favorite dish I tried has got be a pork tangsooyuk!! It's nice and crispy on the outside with tender meat on the inside, texture is very nice! Also appreciated that we can get the sauce on the side for the meat, my friend isn't a huge sauce fan so it worked out perfectly! Thought it was neat that they make the noodles fresh here, can definitely taste that in the noodle quality. We couldn't get a table on our first attempt, and thankfully we had one more day in our vacation weekend to come back "early" as the super happy and helpful manager recommended. This place is bustling, and the manager said "korean mama made us so busy!" Well, The Korean Mama was right to recommend this Chinese/Korean noodle place because it is so good! The noodles have great texture and the sauces are not so salty. We had fun watching Korean tv while scarfing down our meal. It felt like we were eating at home. So comforting. And the manager remembered us and was so sweet, she hugged us and thanked us for coming back. We will be coming back the next time we stay in Portland. My husband brought me here to try this place, and I'm so glad he did. I ordered the pork jjajangmyeon and the seafood jjambong. I'm not sure how they cooked the jjajangmyeon, but it had an amazing wok aroma, flavorful without being greasy or over sweet. The jjambong is also delicious, nicely balanced and not too spicy. My favorite cozy comfort meal in Portland! I always get random cravings for this place and it has NEVER disappointed whether I come in person or order online. My favorites are: Pork Tangsuyuk, Wok n Guys Jjajeongmyeon, and their summer special the Seafood Cold Noodle Jjampong (I dream about this dish). I think I've been here a decade ago haha and didn't find it a wow so didn't come back. However, I think they've changed management and all and many people started saying it was good so I decided to try! I went with a few friends so we each ordered our own food and shared one plate together. My friend whose Korean recommended some dishes for me. This was not a "Korean" restaurant but a "Korean Chinese" restaurant. The Jjajangmyun caught my attention and I ordered one with beef. It had a nicely fried egg on top and the portions were great! I was able to enjoy it the following day. The sauce and flavor was something I enjoyed. This was more savory, not like other places where it's usually more sweet. The noodles were bouncy and it had a lot of toppings in the sauce. We ordered fried pork to share and the way it was fried was super unique and good. It was light but the batter was nice and crispy. I knew about this place for a while through the countless social media reviews and tried to come here an hour before they closed. Sadly, they told us they couldn't seat us because their tables were all full and they were backed up with orders. The lady was very apologetic so we understood. Now, every time we decide to eat here, we always make sure to arrive right when they open or before the lunch or dinner rush. After our first visit, we understood why. My family and I went here for lunch. Everyone enjoyed the food, which came in portions large enough for one or two leftover meals. I had the tofu jjajang myung, a dish I'd never tried before. It was flavorful in a comfort-foody sort of way. For dessert we shared the watermelon hwachae, a seasonal dish with watermelon and other fruit, vanilla ice cream, and Sprite. Really tasty and refreshing. The service especially shone. Our server was very friendly and, since we are clearly neither Korean nor Chinese, offered tips on various things, including how to make the hwachae at home. So glad I finally found a good place for Jjajangmyun (black bean noodles) & Jjambong (red seafood noodle soup). Originally Chinese dishes, Koreans like them so much it's become kind of Korean cuisine as well (w/ Korean twist) & in Korea there are many Jjajang/Jjampong houses. I've tried these dishes at a few other places in Portland but have always been underwhelmed in terms of authentic flavor & amount/variety of seafood but this place checked all the boxes. Also, portions are HUGE. Side note: they have different versions of both dishes like seafood Jjajang & white, rose or even beef Jjambong which I didn't even know was a thing haha. On a cold and wet night, we tried Wok N Guys because they were highly rated online for their Korean-Chinese food. Since it was stormy outside, we were the first dine-in customers of the evening. The Owner came over to seat us and offered us hot tea to warm us up. We talked about the menu and her recommendations. The owner said she was very proud of her Korean-Chinese food (it's hard to find good Korean-Chinese restaurants) and recommended that we try several dishes family style, even though there was only two of us. We ordered the Jjambong (seafood stew with noodles), the Jja Jang Mien (black bean noodles), and the Tang Su Yook (fried pork with sweet and sour dipping sauce), which turned out to be way too much food for us as each dish was huge! We had plenty of leftovers to take home which was great. Each noodle dish came in a large soup bowl and filled with ingredients. We got a lot of shell fish, octopus, and crab in the Jiambong. You can customized the spiciness which I really appreciate. The Jja Jang Mien was also filled the top with black bean sauce, pork, potatoes, and other vegetables. I loved the "wok hei" flavor (high heat stir fry) on the noodles and couldn't stop eating them. The tang su yook was deep fried to perfection and the dipping sauce was sweet and sour, with a bit of cinnamon added to it. We had never have tasted a cinnamon forward in this sauce before and we liked it. Overall, we were so glad we tried Wok n Guys as the food was delicious and the owner was really nice. We just tried this place for the first time and we LOVED it! We each got the seafood jjamabong, the broth was spicy and had a great seafood flavor. We also had to try the general tso's chicken, which we agreed was the best we've ever had. Our waitress was also super friendly and helpful when we were trying to figure out drinks. They're especially known for their jjajang myun and jjambong, and after coming back here after a couple of years, I was blown away by how much the quality has improved. We ordered the seafood jjambong, Wok and Guys jjajangmyun, and pork tangsooyuk, and everything was amazing, especially the seafood jjambong. The ingredients were really fresh: shrimp, crab, squid, mussels, clams, and veggies, all in a flavorful, well-balanced broth. The restaurant has very cozy, very welcoming and the service was friendly throughout. Definitely one of the best jjambongs in town. I also really appreciated that they offer aprons such a thoughtful touch, especially if you're wearing white and want to avoid any irreversible soup stains. After trying all the Korean Chinese restaurants, including the new additions in the Greater PDX area, I finally decided to review Wok' n Guys in Beaverton. Without a doubt, this is the best spot for jjajangmyeon-jjamppong-pork tangsuyuk trio in the region. The trio of jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk is a must-try in any Korean Chinese restaurant. Wok' n Guys nails it perfectly. The jjajang sauce has that authentic wok flavor that I always look for, jjampong has great kick and lots of ingredients, and the tangsuyuk batter is delightfully light and crispy with sweet and sour sauce. I absolutely love their pork tansuyuk. Some of my Korean friends mention that the prices here are higher compared to other similar restaurants, but I believe the quantity and quality make up for it. They are generous with portions, and they are always kind enough to pack leftovers to-go, which gives me an extra meal every time. The service here is outstanding. It's family-owned, and you can feel that warm, familial atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive. I've never had to ask for more water or danmuji (pickled radish) because they come by multiple times to refill without me asking. After 30 years of eating Korean Chinese food, I have some tips. When they give you danmuji, add a bit of vinegar on top for a more tart pickle experience. While jjajangmyeon is great, if you prefer a deeper flavor, go for the ganjjajang. Try some pepper flakes on top of jjajang for kicks. Seafood jjamppong is a classic, but the beef jjamppong here is a fantastic twist. They also serve soju, which pairs perfectly with the Korean-Chinese trio. My husband always says that this restaurant satisfies his urge to go back to Korea. It's definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Greater PDX area, as I confirmed again yesterday. read more

A great casual spot serving huge portions of Chinese-Korean dishes. Perfect for a family meal. We tried the Pork Jajangmyun, Beef Jamppong, Cream Fried Shrimp, and Potstickers. Everything was delicious but the Beef Jamppong stood out to me. The broth was perfectly spicy and flavorful. Beef slices were also tender. Jajangmyun was nice too. I thought the Shrimps could be crispier though, they're a bit soggy but flavors were there. The portion for each dish was massive so come hungry. You can see and smell the food being made fresh. I have been craving Jjajang myun (black bean paste noodles) and saw that this is the place to get it. We ordered your typical trifecta (also our waitress said that's what everyone orders haha) Regular jjajang myun, seafood jjambong (seafood noodle soup) and pork tangsooyuk (fried pork with sweet and sour dipping sauce) I will say that the food is really good and authentic here (given by the people we saw eating here while we were here) The noodles were chewy and flavorful, seafood stew with just the right amount of spiciness and plenty of seafood, plus the fried pork was freshly fried and crispy - ready to dip into the sticky sauce full of veggies. The service was quick and friendly and it was cool to see actual flames in the kitchen behind when they were cooking up the dishes. The inside decor, tables and chairs, the removal dividers seemed simple if not a bit outdated. I really was impressed by the food and we all really enjoyed our meal. However I do think the price tag (even given the portions) is a little steep for certain dishes - $35 for the seafood noodle soup? Not great. But with that said, I do recommend coming here if you get a craving for Korean-Chinese food. Please give them a chance! read more

I really wanted to come here after I saw an Instagram video but my boyfriend isn't a huge fan of Korean food so I just saved this spot in my bookmarks. However, we were around the area and I started getting really hungry then my boyfriend asked if Wok' n Guys was any good. I told him how I found out about them and he said we could go in to get lunch here which I was super elated to hear. We came in right when they opened up at 4pm and we were seated right away by our waiter. He was fluent in both English and Korean as I observed him speaking with his co-workers and other customers. The service here was genuinely polite and kind from everyone and I loved the atmosphere and back and forth between the employees. We ordered fried bao bun with condensed milk, jjajang myun, seafood jjambong, and chicken katsu. The interior was very modern Korean-Chinese fusion with the red, black, and yellow color scheme, lanterns, and dividers. Their teapot, dishes, bowls, and table setting was gorgeous too. I saw that they started to get busier as time went on whether it was dine in or take out orders. Luckily we got our food pretty quickly and the portions for everything was enormous. When we got our third dish, the lady who delivered our food said that we had ordered a lot for two people. I wanted to make sure I could get both their jjajang myun and seafood jjambong as I never knew when I would be back as we came all the way from Washington. I ate as much as I could but when I finished it still looked like it was untouched, and I was starving when we had walked in. My boyfriend loved his chicken katsu praising the crunchiness and the deliciousness of the katsu sauce. I love the flavors and portions of the jjajang myun and jjambong. Got the basic black noodle with the fried pork (tangsoyeuk) on the side. My thoughts are, service was great, food came out super fast. Noodles: Sauce was a bit thin, noodle amount was great. Fried pork: I'm not sure if they use rice flour mixed with corn starch or potato starch but this was hard to eat after a few minutes. But it's great when it's fresh and hot but once it cools down the batter is very hard to bite into. The meat inside was thick cut but it was a bit tough to chew. Overall I think this place was good but didn't like that my sauce turned super watery after a few bites (couldn't dip my pork into it). I had an easy time eating the pork but some of my relatives had issues chewing the pork. Place is clean, seating is good for small groups of 4 or less. The owners and staff are all super friendly, and the ambiance is great. If you have never tried Korean-Chinese food try Jjambbong (Spicy Beef or Seafood Broth with Noodles) or Jjajang Myun (black bean noodle). I believe their noodles are made in house, which is why they are soooo good.
