The food here was great! I cannot stress enough how delicious and healthy this was. I had the Udon Noodles, and the broth was hearty and filling, the noodles were a good texture. The green union and tofu were a great add, as well as the pot stickers. On top of great food, the service was impeccable!! A very kind, sincere person who cared a lot about making sure my food was gluten free and let me know all my options. He recommended the shrimp fried rice to me, and it was delicious. It was well cooked, and the peas and carrots added a great freshness to the dish. It wasn't super busy when we came in; the place has a pretty calm vibe to it. Food was as usual, and the place was empty ... we were before the dinner rush if they have one. The service was the hold-up ... the older guy (maybe the owner) acted like he couldn't have cared less. I enjoy Koba Grill for its quick lunch options, and this is my first time at this location. Although it has a different owner, the food quality is still great, and they provide free self-serve ice cream. Unlike other locations, they don't include gyoza and a free drink with the lunch specials, and the prices here are a bit higher. We were surprisingly super impressed with Koba Grill! We were a little apprehensive before walking in because there was nobody inside, and the line at MOD was out the door. We went inside and met the nicest, most hospitable, and efficient folks ever. Garcia and Carmen literally stopped everything to explain the concept to us, talk us through dishes they thought we'd like, learn our names, and welcome us. In the 20 minutes we stayed and ate, many folks came in that they knew by name, and the others were treated with the same hospitality. Nobody left without a smile, or waited more than 10 minutes for food. Both of them checked on us, spent more time laughing and smiling and taking time to pay attention, ask questions, and interact with us. The food is fun and delicious, good portions and pricing(especially in this economy). But the main reason we'll be coming back is to support small business owners like them. read more

Went in to eat lunch with my friend and the service was amazing! They were very accommodating of my dairy allergy and let me know I can eat everything there except the macaroni salad which helped me feel very at ease as anyone with an allergy knows. The bulgogi bowl was very tasty and even had a special lunch price. It was a nice place to pop in for a quick lunch and had a very casual vibe. Initially I stopped in the Old Spaghetti Factory down the street which was a terrible idea. Very cold greeting at the "one couple" occupied bar. Girl gave me the gas face and said "you're just getting something to go right," as if she wanted nothing to do with me. That led me to this establishment where the gentleman, who's name escapes me, literally thanked me for choosing them for my dinner while it was being grilled. What a contrast! Went here for lunch while eating pescatarian. They have shrimp and salmon options. I went with the shrimp fried rice. It came with peas and carrots, green onions and egg per the usual. The rice was good and not overly oily. You def need soy sauce though (it could be seasoned a bit more) I think the under seasoning is because they are as a healthy option restaurant . They serve it with a teriyaki type sauce which I didn't use. Over all I would go back and maybe try something different. read more
