Absolutely love this place! They've been here for 4 years and took over the old Keystone bar/restaurant, so it was like coming back to an old familiar place! It was my first time here. Was a few minutes late due to traffic, didn't get in trouble, but they do have a cancellation policy....since it was a few minutes over, they said they might not be able to do nose waxing, but would see if they might have time...they were able to! It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be (like the TikTok videos of people pulling qtips out!) Anna did my hair, beard and neck cut! Amazing job! For first timers, you get a tour, a free complimentary drink, and a premium cut for regular cut price! They have a bar (mostly whiskey) and a cigar patio outside, where you can drink and relax on their sofa and chairs! I'll be definitely sure of coming back again in a few months! Only downside: it's the old Keystone location, so now I have to head to Clifton, because I'm craving some good old Mac and cheese! lol! read more

Now that I have found a new barber I can unequivocally say how disappointed I grew with the services at Hammer & Nails. The haircuts were fine, not great. I was always paired with a new barber and they never seemed to keep any internal notes about what haircut I wanted. Often the wait was long and I'd wait over 15 minutes past my appointment time. One time I was running five minutes late and they called wanting me to cancel. Double standard and not friendly to the customer. The barbers never wanted to do a hair wash would openly complain about it. It's a service that is included in the price! I like the hair wash and I pay for it. They made me feel weird about requesting it. Also the place is dirty. read more

Scheduled a beard trim. Got stuck in traffic from a wreck on the way. Called the receptionist let her know there was a possibility of me being a few minutes late. She informed me that it was fine they weren't very busy. I walked in 4 minutes past my appointment time. The parking lot was small but still empty the place was empty as well not a soul in site other than the girl at the counter and a guy leaning over the rail upstair. The girl at the desk immediately started babbling about some sort of charge added on for being late to an appointment before even greeting me. I explained that I was the one who called and was told no worries a few minutes would be ok yet she didn't care she was relentless about adding the late fee on before I barely got inside the building. I proceeded to let her know how it was only 4 minute and how slow they were plus over the phone it was no problem. She said it's their rule and she had to charge me. I said then just cancel my appointment I refuse to pay a late fee I was leaving. She claimed she would still be billing my card for a late fee and a cancellation I told her good luck because I hadn't given them any card to put on file and walked out. Never will I return and any time a relative conversation comes up I tell everyone the story and how unprofessional and disrespectful they were. All while a guy, whom I assume was going to be my barber, leaned over the upstairs railing listening and allowing the only custOmer inside that time to walk out the door. Terrible business read more

I was a little nervous about trying this place; I don't drink and was concerned that the place might be just a little too "bro" for me. Plus, I was concerned about having to deal with a high-pressure sales pitch for their membership. My fears were relieved as soon as I walked in. The receptionist gave me a tour and mentioned the membership, but that was the extent of it (though she did ask again at checkout; I didn't feel pressured at all.) I was happy to see that all four of the service chairs were full; other guys were also there for pedicures or manicures, and it was one of the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in. You're given a remote control and headphones if you want them. The water was hot and stayed warm. Evelyn, who told me she was new this week, was professional, warm, and strong. She buffed my feet, using the appropriate pressure to work on my callouses while checking in throughout to make sure I was OK. I did the premium service, so I had a sugar scrub and paraffin wax - my feet are amazingly soft and felt really nice. If I lived closer, would utilize their bar, needed a new hair stylist, or if they offered massages or facials, I'd consider subscribing. But for now, I'll just pay a la carte for more pedicures as I need them. Highly recommended! read more

Stopped in for a Sunday cut, and walked out a member. This place is something else..in an amazing way. A welcoming bourbon drink, a great cut, then I got to lounge with a cigar afterwards! Like a male spa lol. Love the idea, keep it up. read more

This place is generally just confusing. They have a serious marketing problem because I don't understand what they are trying to be. I love bourbon, I love cigars, I love enjoying both and a patio. I am also willing to pay for a premium haircut. This place has all of that but doesn't make clear what they are trying to do. Am I supposed to get a haircut and drink by myself afterwards?! I don't get it. Down the the details, I got a terrible haircut here. Like another Yelp review stated, I had to go to Sports Clips the next day to have them fix the disaster. Maybe if they stop the haircuts and embrace being a bar, I'll return. read more

Haley is the bomb! I was scheduled for a mani/pedi for my birthday back in the Summer. Immediately purchased a membership and have upgraded to their Luxe package since. I'm hooked. I met Haley a few months ago and she has been doing my mani/pedi since. She clearly enjoys what she does and enjoys talking to everyone. She does a phenomenal job as well. I was very pleased to see that she had trained to perform the Luxe menu items. I was in yesterday with my son and I already have another 2 appointments for next week (one for a hair cut). Great environment - great people. I really enjoy going there. read more

Drove 12 hours from NJ to stop there on our way to a brothers 3 day weekend, This was our 1st stop on our trip , we called place to verify 45 minutes upon arrival, they 1st told us we were scheduled for a different time, then told to come they will accommodate us, then we received a call when we were 3 minutes away from the owner to cancel saying that one of the girls just had an emergency and they couldn't accommodate our service. read more

Drinks were good The actual pedicure was good the worker was nice the down fall was over hearing a conversation with another worker offering him more "happy ending" in the back. Was trying not to listen in but as my first time here I don't know if I want to give my money to a company that runs a brothel. As I would feel uncomfortable to be offered that. read more

The atmosphere here was so delightful. I have not stopped telling others about this wonderful spot that has opened up. They do accept walk ins or set up a appt. It gives the modern man a oasis to indulge a busy work day into a drink, nice cut, and hey while there you may want to get the hands or feet done. It's well worth the time to feel like you and have a place to even have a cigar at too. read more

The atmosphere is very booze centered. The pedicures are very nice, as were the women who gave them. Unfortunately, I didnt notice how bad my haircut was until I washed the thick balm out of my hair at home. It was so bad that I was first in line at Supercuts the next morning to have it fixed (as best they could). I think this place is perfect if you like to spend big bucks, are a heavy drinker and/or cigar smoker, want a fade or buzz cut, and love football. That's definitely their tight demographic. I may recommend the place to the right fella(s), but I won't return. read more

Overpriced, low quality barbershop. They seem to want to be a bar (that they tout more than their services) not a men's salon. The actual haircut was a terrible experience. Lot of comb strokes but cut almost nothing. Ask for a 1/4 inch off the top and styling, so they push all your hair to one side and use one clipper cut and say there you go. No layering, no texturing, nothing. Awful experience for me and will not be going back. read more
