This sweet shop has unexpected items for self and home. I especially love the handmade jewelry and prints! The wares are extremely polished, understated and just flat-out beautiful. There's also a well-stocked area for terrarium building and plants. This is a great little store. I found so many creative decorations for my home! I went in with the intent to liven up my living space - it was looking a little drab - and the shop owners were very helpful. I walked away with a great fern that looks like a heart shaped crest which was mounted to a board! It is the most alien looking thing I have ever seen! And is a great addition to my wall. read more

yes yes yes! This place is every bit worth of time spent looking for parking. The staff is incredibly knowledgable and helped me with my selection of succulents, from plant to soil to pot. It's a charming shop, with a variety of terrarium rocks and stones and whatever else you could think of. Forever my favorite (and healthiest!) succulent has come from here. read more

I went here because I wanted some succulents for my dining table. I like plants that are low maintenance and succulents do it for me! I got two beautiful succulents which the friendly girl at the store graciously potted for me in the planters I chose from their beautiful selection. They have a pretty good choice of plants and pots. They also have some jewelry for sale which I didn't pay much attention to. Prices are a little on the higher side but not too bad. I would go back here for gifts and general home decor requirements. read more

I was very displeased with the quality and service of this store. I bought a pathos a few weeks ago and it has turned almost completely yellow. I asked the woman there if it needed to be re-potted soon and she said no and pointed out that it was not root bound... Well it was completely root bound with a case of root rot as well! I just wasted $25 on a plant that will not be around much longer. I am not a plant expert so I did expect the store to be able to give me accurate information on the plant I was about to buy. This place is so fun! My seven year old daughter and I went in to look around and discovered we could build our own terrarium right there in the store. So we did. It was awesome. Every once and awhile, as an adult you find a place that makes you giddy with delight. This is hammer and vine. A wonderful selection of plants for terrariums and air plants. A wide assortment of shells, gems, skulls and other treasures to make your terrarium your own. Great prices and wonderful informative customer service. Only bummer is the lip makes it challenging for those in wheel chairs. read more

I had a really bad experience here! I was trying to support local but unfortunately Hammer + Vine was unresponsive and unreliable. I went into the store twice asking about ordering succulents for a wedding and was told I would get a call back the next day - I never received a call back. I sent a few emails to the owner who wrote back and said she could place my order and when I asked her to confirm the order was placed I didn't get a response. Planning an event is stressful and this is not the place to go if you want to work with stress-free vendors. read more

Walking into Hammer + Vine is like stumbling across a beautifully curated treasure chest of goodies. The atmosphere is a mixture of rustic and modern and everything is neatly arranged making it both fun and inviting to look at all the products (locally made too!). The staff is friendly and helpful, and not at all in your face. Plants, fossils, soaps, jewelry and other goodies there are perfect for gifts.
