We visited on vacation Monday night. We were surprised to be seated very quickly which was a great thing- they were super busy! We did all you can eat crab legs (I didn't ask- my fault- what the market price was- it was $80/per person when my bill came). The crab legs kept coming! I will say that they were small and not easy to come out of the shell. They do not offer a kids portion- so I had to pay the same price for my 6 year old as well. That was a little disappointing considering his size and age, but he also enjoys seafood and well while on vacation ‍. Good, but not great experiences here. It was 92 degrees outside in July and they offered us outdoor seating. Their outdoor porch used to have ceiling fans, but the owner had recently removed them for some reason. The tables inside are all uneven and wobbly. If you look around, most tables have layers of folded napkins placed under the table legs to try and level them, instead of appropriately repairing the tables. They don't accept reservations, which is rather archaic. Food is very good and worth the money. Unfortunately the restaurant facilities don't match what the kitchen produces. read more

We checked this place out recently for dinner and had a great experience. Several people in our group of 7 tried the all-you-can-eat snow crab legs. It was $65 and each bucket came with 2 clusters. The first bucket comes with corn and potatoes. They also give you garlic bread. The crab legs were great. Our server, Keith, was amazing. We joined the waitlist online about 30 minutes before heading to The Hammered Crab, which definitely helped--but we still waited about 20 more minutes after checking in. The parking lot and inside of the restaurant are both pretty small, so be prepared for a bit of a squeeze. We originally came for the all-you-can-eat crab legs but didn't realize it was over $80 per person. Instead, my mom and I decided to share the Seafood Feast for around $90, and honestly, it was the better value. It came with four crab leg clusters, a generous portion of shrimp (about 1.5 lbs), sausage, corn, potatoes, crab cakes, salad, green beans--and the garlic bread was SO good too! We stopped in for a letter than normal dinner. We were sat outside by hostess on a side porch no one else nearby. Waited for over 10 minutes and went to ask if we could move to back patio. Hostess was rude and said no. Then a very sweet waitress Taralee came up to us when we were about to leave and said how could she help us. We explained and she immediately cleared a table where we wanted to be and waited on us. We had seafood gumbo and the garlic crab claws. Both were delicious! But Taralee took great care of us, went above and beyond to make our experience from bad to great. I would now return because of her great service and the food as well! read more

While in town for my wife's birthday, this is where she wanted to go and we were not disappointed. We went on a Friday night at 5 pm and were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly during outlet entire visit. My son ordered the peel and eat shrimp and my daughter got one of the kids meals. My wife and I both ordered the all you can eat crab (@$80 ea). The size and quality of the crab was great and I was pleasantly surprised. Many places don't offer this quality with AYCE options. You HAVE to try the shrimp and grits from the Hammered Crab! These are these BEST I've ever tried. The shrimp is blackened to perfection and the cheese grits are a perfect texture. When you add the seafood gravy (gumbo) on top it makes the dish absolutely perfect! We always come here to take advantage of the all you can eat snow crab legs, but I opted to try something new this time and I'm SO glad I did! We ordered sandwiches for lunch which came out hot and looked good until you bit into them. Greasy! The waitress needs to be a little more atentive and wait on all her customers. She had approximately 10. There was only one table of 4 there when we walked in and the whole restaurant was empty and she puts is right in the very back next to the kitchen. During our meal we needed refills and no refills came. We got the bill left cash for our meal and the waitress ran and almost ran me over to make sure we paid. Serves was a huge thumbs down. The location of this restaurant is right off the main strip. The decor is a beachy vibe and very nice. The waiter was attentive yet very low energy. No small share plates for the appetizers. No utensils until after the garlic loaf and appetizers hit the table. The fountain drinks did not have any CO2(fizz) and the water had an odd taste. My kids enjoyed the fried shrimp and fries, however, one daughter had a burger and she did not enjoy it. My husband got the all you can eat snow crab legs and he enjoyed them. Stopped by for dinner around 7. We made our way inside to find the restaurant nearly empty. Our party of five was quickly seated, and our waiter was at the table soon after to take drink orders. Drinks were quickly served, and food orders were taken soon after. We started with the crab dip. The crab dip itself was just okay, but the crostinis it was served with were excellent. While we were eating our appetizer, our waiter brought out a couple loaves of their house bread. Bread was nice and buttery with plenty of garlic. As a group we ordered four different entrees. The Cajun grouper was excellent if a tad salty, as was the shrimp and grits. I don't typically love fried shrimp, but I tried a piece and found it to have a really good amount of breading for the size of the shrimp. It also had a nice little punch of heat that I enjoyed. Only thing I didn't sample was the grouper with crab cakes, but I was told it was also quite tasty. I'd definitely eat here again, and honestly don't understand how this place was so empty with several restaurants down the street that appeared to have decent sized waiting lists. read more

Then came out a mouthwatering g half loaf of a sourdough baguette...sliced thin and it was covered in garlic butter. Not only did the delightful garlic smell hit you but the taste of the bread was perfect with the salad. The first tub of the meal was 2 snow crab clusters, corn cob and red potatoes... Dumped on the table so you can dig in. They refill with one crab cluster each time you ask. Beer was cold and they have a full bar with some "fancy" cocktails available. I have to say the food was great. My husband had a salad loaded with shrimp. I had a french dip. Unfortunately, they had no grouper waiter said a bad batch came in and they refused it. The service was outstanding -- the only problem is with the hostess. We were a party of two -- there were plenty of tables available, but she told us our party was too small for a table for four. She told us we could eat at the bar -- I don't think so; went to leave and lo and behold a table of 4 became available. I don't get it, but they almost lost a customer because of some kind of stupid policy. Like I said no problem with the food or service The hostess needs improvement or better yet removed. read more

Don't waste your money. We were excited to try one of the only "all you can eat" crab places. We are from Alabama and visit the gulf several times a year. We sat outside to skip the wait. It was empty. We requested the fans be turned on and were told they only work when the lights come on and the lights are on a sensor. A large party was seated behind us and when they came in their waitress was able to plus the fans in immediately. But the very rude men in the party automatically stood up and pointed the fan at their table. The fan by us just needed to be plugged in. An over $300 meal and we were swarmed with gnats and flies and every time we asked for the fan we were told a manager would have to make that call. Food was late. Training server quit because even she was fed up. Large and rude party was allowed to cause all kinds of trouble. Manager never once came out and then we were handed the full ticket after horrific experiences. It has potential and the food was good but the service will run it in the ground quickly. read more

Supposedly should feed up to 10 people but it barely fed 4 of us! The ribs were over done and dry, the shrimp was ok but there was only 11 shrimp in the bucket! The prime rib was ordered med rare came out med well! The Crab was pathetic as it was dry and freezer burnt a little! (all you can eat snow crab legs is $85 per person definitely not worth!
