Not sure if they were short-staffed, but we were utterly disappointed with the experience. For the price point, we expected elevated service for a party of 10 with a mandatory 20% gratuity. I'm not going to blame the servers, as I feel like the service is a reflection of management and how they train and execute the experience for customers. Management, please make sure the glasses are full and that when serving dishes, we have the proper utensils. Now the food , I loved my dish, but my husband and sister did not like theirs.

Coming through on an off-season midweek late lunch, we weren't surprised to find no crowds - which we kinda liked. (We've been here many times, mostly during weekend peak times and offff...) We didn't miss that at all. There are tons of cute shops, eateries (many who are very dog friendly), and fantastic ocean views. If you feel like getting steps in, I suggest walking to the end of the pier and back. Parking is hit and miss. A challenge during the weekends, but plenty. Street and structure available. You can pay with cards, coins or through an app. It never gets old coming through. We shall return over and over again.

Myself, along with other beachgoers, alerted the beach lifeguards about the situation but nothing was done to rectify the issue. I saw another member of the public notify a lifeguard and they were laughed off a bit. When I stepped forward to alert the same lifeguard about the issue, he just chuckled and said, "Yea, we know about it." Maybe it's just me, but I would not be laughing about what could be a serious situation with bird carcasses washing up every couple feet. The sand was also littered with a lit of trash and debris, adding to the uncomfortable situation. I would recommend staying away from the Hermosa Beach shoreline for awhile.

What a fun stroll on Manhattan Ave! Love seeing the local small businesses thriving together. We saw some beautiful homes, too. Area is so clean. We didn't stay too long, hence, we did not get to visit many more shops and eateries. I have a few biz that I would love to support the next time I'm back here such as Manhattan Beach Creamery, Caffe Luxxe, Pages Bookstore, and other shops that cross my path. Several public parking lots are located close by. These include the Upper Pier Lots, Lower Pier Lots, and Lot 2. Street parking is also available. If you're lucky, you may get a parking spot. Come early!

There's tons of surfing, beach volleyball, and plenty of paved areas just to walk and smell that fresh air. The area was also super clean and seemed safe. I have not visited Venice Beach in over a decade but folks tell me its gone downhill. Manhattan Beach also has tons of shops, bars, and restaurants mixed in with residences overlooking the beach. You can also see Chevron's El Segundo Refinery along this beach. The workers there must be among the happiest since they can just decompress at the beach after work!

We got here around 3pm and immediately lucked out and got parking at this 3 hour parking lot yay!!! We got some water and snacks from the Manhattan pizza spot and then walked and found a cute beach spot. The beach was packed with swimmers, beach volleyball, families, surfers, cyclists, roller bladers. Just a great time . We chilled and read and ha le a great time . It was so relaxing and and fun watching everyone have a beautiful afternoon. We ended up dipping our feet in the water before we left and it was not cold ! Highly recommend it and will be back .

I came in driving a Tesla and parked with my wheels not pointed toward the curb, which I fully understand was my mistake. I expected a simple ticket and moved on. Instead, they doubled down and issued another ticket shortly after for not having a front license plate. The timing of everything felt excessive and honestly frustrating, especially because it all happened within about 10 minutes of parking. What made it even more questionable was that as I was walking back, I noticed multiple other cars around me with the exact same issues. Tesla after Tesla, residents included, many without front license plates and similar small violations. That is what made the whole situation feel less like consistent enforcement and more like something was being selectively enforced or overly targeted in that moment. I cannot say for sure what the intention was, but the experience definitely did not feel balanced or fair. By the time I left, the whole situation had completely soured the visit. Instead of enjoying being in Manhattan Beach, I spent my time dealing with frustration and trying to get out of there. I understand rules are rules, but how they are enforced matters, and this felt unnecessarily aggressive. Manhattan Beach should do better in how it handles visitors and parking enforcement, because moments like this really shape how people feel about returning.

This was my second time here. The first time I came here it was much more crowded. This time around…read moreit appears they set up a registration booth where you can reserve a time with the attendee. There is a child's park right in front which is convenient for people with kids. I've had fun here both of the times I had came here and could only go up and down a couple times. It's a popular workout spot with restrooms and stairs on the side of the sand dune make everything so convenient. Even when it's crowded I was still able to get parking and on the other side of the park I noticed there is ample parking for handicap spots.
