While visiting Bainbridge Island we were looking for lunch away from the hustle and bustle of Bainbridge near the ferry terminal. We had been to Lynnwood Center before and I remembered Hammy's. I ordered the basic burger which is 1/4 pound burger with lettuce, tomato and pickle. They also have a sauce that is mayo based. I added ketchup and mustard at table. It was a great choice! I think I would have them leave off the sauce next time just because it made the bun pretty wet and things tended to fall apart. For a basic burger it is just $9 and I think a real bargain. You can add items and choose from other burger options as well. The tots were just basic but good and crisp but soft inside. Tasted good with salt and ketchup. Again there are fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings if you wish. The milkshakes looked good but I opted for a fountain soda. Service was pretty quick but they don't cook until you order. Seating a little limited but have inside and outside seats. You have to place order on kiosk which takes some time but it does space out customers. I think they are a great value and good burgers.

Saw lots of weird reviews so wanted to try the place myself. BLUF: Would come back for a quick, simple burger or shake. Positives: Solid burger, quality meat, fresh vegetables and the chef had them out quick, cool different burger options, shakes are actually really good here highly recommend, clean restaurant and cool design Negatives: out of the way of the main bainbridge festivities, they charge for everything (sauces, cheese, etc) which makes this burger joint very expensive for what it is, onion rings were a 5/10 very average, they even charge for ranch with your fries, saw some Karen giving them trouble about the extra charges lol.

Came here on a weekday for lunch. You order from the counter and they bring the food out to you. There were 7 of us who ordered, we got meals and shakes and sodas. First of all, the soda fountain was all mislabeled and only a couple of the sodas were actually what they said they were. When they brought the food out, they forgot 3 different sides as well as extra sauces (which were $2 each). The shakes were good, and half of us enjoyed our burgers while the other half didn't.

Smash burger with American cheese, lettuce, burger sauce, and soft potato bun. Delicious!!

Delicious burgers and shakes. The fries are seasoned. The burger menu provides a variety of options so you'll be sure to find something that calls to you. After you order at the counter, you'll be given a number tag to place on the table of your choosing. There are tables outside with umbrellas to protect from the sun. Despite the appearance, Hammy's is not a fast food restaurant. Each order is prepared fresh upon ordering. They don't have the most efficient cooking process so it does typically take 15 to 20 minutes to get your food. The prices are a bit high (summer of 2023 $9 to $15) but we keep coming back because the burgers are tasty. Hammy's is located in the Lynwood neighborhood on Bainbridge Island. There are stores and more restaurants in the same strip mall to explore as well. We've not had trouble finding parking during our visits.

Tough choices after a hike.. hamburger or fried chicken sandwich? Both looked delicious as I passed people in the outside seating area of Hammy's. The pleasant beach area, another fun area to explore on the island. Service was quick and friendly. Although there wasn't any draft beers, they had a good selection of local beers, as well as other beverages. Even though I thought the price was a little high, after tasting, and the big breast size of the sandwich, it was worth it. Hot, crispy, moist and tender, with bacon added, it definitely ranks among the best chicken sandwiches I've had. Perfect for an after hike meal, add in the perfectly crispy onion rings, I was very happy and relaxed, the local Brainbridge Island brewery IPA helped as well. Looking forward to returning to try what looked like tasty burgers as well. Happy Yelping! Cheers! And God bless.

    Hammys triple. Best burger around!

Went here on the 4th of July. Ordered the Hammys double, fries and a patty on the side for the dogs. Checked the order and found they put the dogs patty on the burger, so now I have a triple hammy burger. let them know what happened and they made another patty for the pooches. Burger was cooked perfect, nice and juicy (especially with that free patty on it) , fries were enough for 2 people. If I lived closer it would be trouble, would be here at least once a week. Will be back when in the area!

Don't understand all the recent bad reviews of this place. Food was great, fast and the service was excellent. Love the vibe of this place. Only did 4 stars because it is a bit expensive but what isn't now days.

Quality burgers that are freshly made on Bainbridge Island. Location is prime - next to a very classy venue that is often used for weddings and many little cool shops near by. I had the Hammy's burger which comes w two patties, cheese and all of the dressing. Not the largest burger and does not come w fries so I thought that $9 was a bit pricey. Overall - good burger in a cute part of Bainbridge Island. If you're craving a burger and already in the area - I would give it a try.

    Pretty good

It's hard to find a good burger $10 and under anymore that's not fast food. The pandemic and inflation have sent burger prices soaring into the $15-20 range at restaurants. We got the smash burgers which have a 1/3 pound patty and they were good. Nothing that you couldn't make at home but a really good basic burger. Fries are good too. Add the value and being dog friendly, it's a solid 4/5. Check it out.

Haven't seen a Hawaiian burger on a menu for a long time!

I was so close to not making the trip, but glad I did. There is some parking outside, but there is also paid parking close by. The inside looks like your typical burger joint; limited seating, tiny counter, and 2 self-service spots where you can place your order. Not only do they serve burgers, they also sell local beers as well, given there is a brewery nearby. If you pick the right seat you could see them preparing your order. I ordered the "Firehouse Burger," and the name says it all! Regardless, this burger was huge and packed with flavor. I felt like I was about to break my jaw when I took my first bite. The patty was cooked perfectly with melted pepper jack cheese. Also included was jalapeño, which was done 3 ways: smoked, pickled and crispy. Their habanero was not only delicious, but also carried a kick to it l. I tried to add some vegan bacon, sadly they ran by the time I arrived. If you are ever in the Poulsbo, WA area, I would definitely suggest you stop by here. I doubt you will ever find a better a burger anywhere else.

Maybe about 10 seats. Being right on the waterfront, you really wanna get your food to go and eat outside. Service - self serve kiosk and a pick up window. That being said when doing food pickup they were really nice. Food - These were some hearty burgers. I had the kimchi burger, my fiance had the bacon burger. I didn't know until afterwards these were plant based! I would never have known. Burger was so good and juicy. We both also got fries, I had the garlic fries and I swear there was like a half cup of minced garlic on them lol no complaints. They also have some nice beer/cider selection. It was a little pricey but they delivered on a solid burger. Overall this was a perfect end to our day in Poulsbo. Grabbing food here and finding a bench on the water on a nice day, nothing beats that. If you're in Poulsbo, gotta stop here.

I love the managers and some of the long term staff. Today I decided to give it another go. Now, I'm going to say this KNOWING I'm insanely picky. I ordered the sashimi tuna tacos with no coleslaw. It was DRY - ZERO sauce. I dumped all the tuna into one little pile. I should have taken a picture. It was less than 1/4 cup of Tuna. Nearly $20 bucks. I took ONE bite. It was grizzly and tasted NOTHING like tuna sashimi. It just tasted like old fish. They were gracious enough to take it off my ticket. Then! Let's talk about the VOLUME ON THE TV! They've NEVER wanted to be considered a sports bar. Game is on but the volume is minimal to none. OMG. Tonight it was RIDICULOUS. I asked the bartender to please turn it down. She did, a little. But. When I'm YELLING across two feet at the bartender, she can't hear me and I can't hear her?!?! Then she kept talking with her back turned ‍. When I asked if she'd turned down the volume? She said "I did, but commercials are always louder in case you left the room". After paying $25 dollars for ONE glass of wine, I couldn't take it anymore. I send dozens of tourists here EVERY WEEK. I think they'd be fine. However, I won't be back anytime soon.

I was eager to return to this establishment, since I haven't been here in a few years. Regrettably, today's visit was a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be good again? THE ROSES: TMD is a restaurant I dearly want to like a lot more than I do right now. For those who are retro fans, the dining space, which is an impeccably restored authentic diner, is a real treat. Restrooms are clean. The staff, while sometimes rather confused, tries hard and is pleasant. THE THORNS: It's the food, stupid. This establishment, which used to serve authentic diner cuisine now seems to be excessively 'interpreting' dishes, and they're too derivative for their own good. The most egregious example was the Chicken Fried Steak, which was battered and fried *chicken* smothered in sausage gravy. Note to the owners/chefs: they call it Chicken Fried STEAK for a reason. I ordered the biscuits and gravy instead, which was uninspired. The sausage gravy itself was quite good, but the biscuits, which they boast about, were dry and hard. I get better out of a tube of Pillsbury 'Grands' buttermilk biscuits from the grocery store. My wife's Joe's Special was also a disappointment: the chunks of overdone ground beef appear to have been diced of bits of Sysco hamburger patties, and the dish was assembled with indifference. The tomatoes were uniquely flavorless, and the whole dish was rather under seasoned. On top of it all, a request for ketchup (which should always be at the table in a diner) was forgotten, and I was still billed for the more expensive CFS rather than the Biscuits and Gravy I ended up getting. Also sorely missed were the Bloody Marys. These were a highlight. Did they decide not to renew their liquor license? THE VERDICT: All in all, a once stellar homage to diners has slid into overpriced mediocrity. The building is the same, but the soul is gone. If you want a true diner experience, I suggest you ride the ferry over to Seattle and visit either Voula's (U District) of The Chelan Cafe (West Seattle). The Madison Diner is a DINO (Diner In Name Only). Neither recommend nor discourage. Your results may vary.
