We had the hardest time finding this place since Google Maps was confounding the grill with the country club. If you want to get here, point your GPS to Bainbridge Island Recreation Center and then follow the signs once you turn off of NE Koura Rd. We came here to get some to-go food. I thought the food was quite good, but we didn't get serving utensils or condiments. Double check for that if you are getting carry out. The restaurant looks like a great place to hang out and the servers handling our to-go order were very friendly. The food: Meadowmeer Burger with Cheese - juicy burger on a nice brioche bun. Served with crispy seasoned fries. Excellent. Cobb Salad - I was happy with the quality and quantity of toppings. There just wasn't enough greens. Felt like we were mainly eating toppings. The Grill at Meadowmeer Golf Club on Bainbridge Island is a well kept secret. The secret is out: it is not a member only golf course restaurant! Nestled in the quiet neighborhood that boasts the home that invented Pickle Ball this is a gem. The fare is golf course fare sure; but large portions of fresh items is a fantastic value. We called and confirmed we could come if we weren't a member of the club and we could get in! We sat quickly, despite how busy it was! The server and food were amazing? I found the setting to be very pleasant but the food and service to be mediocre. Had a reservation for 5 ppl, waited to check in as a golfer walk in directly from his cart and took the best table without checking in. We asked about it and the server said first come first serve. She offered us the crappy table next to him. We almost left but instead took a table down below. Now we know. After that service was fine. Food. Menu is pretty good. Nice selection, nice options. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was a formed chicken patty. You just can't come back from that. My fellow diners were happy with their food. Great place to eat lunch and dinner. We love to share the Chicken-Bacon Chibatta with a side of the sweet potato fries for our entree and their daily soup has always been wonderful. Now that we're quarantined during the current emergency we can call to order lunch and then call when we arrive in their parking lot and they will bring our order out to us to take home. That gives us a safe excuse to safely get out of the house and have a good meal. read more

Came for the annual Christmas party my job threw and had great food but subpar interactions with one of the staff members, as did everyone else in my party. The younger bartender with a beard was extremely rude and very short with everyone the whole night, for reasons I could not tell you. Even with our pleases and thank You's, every drink request was met with rolled eyes and one-word answers, and even a smug laugh at one of my coworkers attempting to use a drink ticket to purchase something that cost 2 (Drink tickets). I thought I may be overthinking his aloofness, but after the party, every adult in our group said the same thing ,"That bartender was really rude for no reason."Sucks because the food was really good, and the rest of the staff were nice as well, but he definitely brought our experience down a peg.Probably won't be back personally. read more

Hidden gem! One of the best places for lunch anywhere on Bainbridge Island. I just ate here with my family. The service was very quick and friendly, the atmosphere on the deck was relaxing, and the food was top-notch. We ordered inside and the food was brought to the table. My wife's chef's salad was big and varied, with generous portions of vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, radish, onion, cucumber), meats, cheeses, egg, and more. My three-year-old's chicken tenders were tastefully seasoned and cooked just right with a good crisp to the outside and moist chicken breast in the center. My cheeseburger was so good it deserves its own paragraph. The bun was some type of artisan bread, with a delicious taste and texture and toasted just right. The meat was thick and juicy along with a very generous slice of ripe tomato and romaine lettuce. I ordered mine without onion or mayo and instead applied good-ol' american ketchup and mustard. This was easily one of the better burgers I have had in some time, and sized just right. The accompanying fries (for $1) were crinkle cut with a good crispiness on the outside. To get to the restaurant, park in the lot and walk up the path toward the golf course, past the putting green on your left and around the front of the clubhouse on your right. The second entrance to the clubhouse up on the deck will take you to the indoor seating and the counter where you place your order. When we arrived the US Open was playing on a large LCD TV on the wall and golfing groups were eating a relaxed lunch. We opted to sit on the deck and our food was brought within a few minutes. While we ate, golfers played on the beautiful course in front of us and a bald eagle circled overhead. Not only was the food good and well priced, but the view was gorgeous and the atmosphere relaxing. An excellent combination. read more

Good location and always empty. This is an example of Bainbridge Island calling it in. Why not serve delicious fruit smoothies? Why not creative paninis (that are so rare on this island)? How about a tuna melt? Sliders? Nachos? Milkshakes? Sure, it's nice to come and get a hot dog and a bag of chips but there is so much potential to make this a really nice spot to bring a family for a quick lunch. You can do it Meadowmeer. This place is such a good lunch spot on the island! They remodeled recently and are currently adding more seating to take it from a 20 people capacity up to a 60 person capacity. I played here one afternoon after work on my way to the ferry. They have a $15 twilight rate that I couldn't pass up! Being that this is the only public course on Bainbridge Island, I expected a little more. It seems that the course was built after the housing development, which leads to its very poor layout. Long walks between holes really took away from the overall experience. This 9 hole course is literally cut out of a housing development, which inevitably leads to lots of house lined fairways with tons of OB. In fact, I don't think there was a single hole that didn't have OB left - terrifying for me with my draw. The course isn't terribly lengthy and has several drivable par 4s. The downhill 200 yard par 3 was probably my favorite hole, providing the greatest challenge compared to the 250-350 yard par 4s the rest of the course offers. The par 4 5th requires an impressive tee shot to get past the tree line before it doglegs right for an approach shot to the turtleback green. From the blue tees you need at least a 250 yard drive - of course there is OB left and right! While it may seem like I'm knocking this course I actually found it to be in excellent shape with perfect fairways and very fair greens. The rough was well manicured and easy to hit out of. This course is very easy to walk and doesn't have a lot of elevation change, although as I mentioned earlier, has some lengthy walks between holes. The walk from 1 to 2 was definitely the longest. read more

I can echo what a lot of the earlier reviews say: the food is very good, the menu is somewhat limited, the burgers are probably the best on the island. I've been several times for lunch and found the service to be outstanding! Every time! I feel like family when I enter the enclosed outdoor space or sit in the uncovered outdoor space. We are part of a walking group and the servers have never yet been fazed by a dozen folks showing up for lunch at once, unannounced. Something others haven't mentioned - the Grill has a prime rib special Friday evenings. It's great, and really reasonably priced! But, especially in the summer, you need reservations for that particular meal. Overall, this is a gem on Bainbridge. read more

While just exploring Bainbridge Island, my friend and I found Meadowmeer Grill by the golf course! Once we found it behind a warehouse, it was great! Nice outdoor seating, if the weather cooperates! Staff was pleasant and helpful. I had the fish and chips which were delicious! My friend had a good ole BLT and fries...she was not disappointed!! If you are in the area, you should stop by! Someone should say that this is the Cafe at the golf course. We called from the parking lot to make sure that membership was not required. It wasn't... But we were treated like an outsider. Just a cold atmosphere.. Had friendlier service from at fast food place. And it wasn't because the 3 people there were so busy... 3 tables when we were there. Also definitely a difference in the Ruben sandwich at the table next to us than the ones served at our table. At least twice the meat for the regulars. .. But the sandwiches and fries were served hot the chicken salad was good.. So it was an OK lunch. Certainly not worth a 5 star rating. I would give it a 3 if the service would have made us feel welcome. read more

Meadowmeer Grill is a terrific, reasonably priced place to take families. I take my boys there for lunch all the time. In addition to a nice selection of reasonably priced beers and wines, they have a full menu of quick grill food, including burgers,sandwiches (my wife loves the Reuben) and hotdogs. They are open for breakfast too! Their mushroom cheeseburger is excellent. My favorite sandwich is the BLT. With the big outer deck, it's a perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner overlooking the 9th green. I can take both boys and eat for less than $25. Super. I highly recommend it. read more
