They're the only place in town for coffee and sandwich. They're good, but really could be better with a bit more effort. So often they're full, choices are limited, and service and pricing, slightly off. It would be in their interest to tweak it up a notch instead of getting away with just under what might be expected. read more

I have been going to Hampton Coffee for years and have looked forward to the breakfast and the chill environment. This the second time that I was not only disappointed by the food but especially the service. The restaurant was empty so there was no reason that we couldn't receive at least sufficient service. Our waitress acted as if we were inconveniencing her when we asked for coffee and even water. She never once approached us during the meal to ask if everything was ok. When one of our items came out improperly cooked we had to walk the item up to the counter ourselves at which point we were greeted with a look of disdain. Even though I have a house in the Watermill and it used to be my favorite spot I will not support this unfriendly service anymore. read more

I am sooooo happy that Hampton Coffee Co. is right down the road!!! I love this place. It's so charming, it's local (aka not the company that is taking over the coffee world), and serves perfect coffee. The coffee is strong and always fresh. Be prepared to find it packed on weekends. read more

Overpriced and underwhelming! Somehow I spent $60 for a boring bland breakfast. $9 smoothie was mostly apple juice. $4 for a few slices of avocado. The "famed" Mexican specialties were particularly disappointing and seemed more store bought and processed than authentic and homemade. Maybe get a coffee to go but steer clear of the food. Every time I am out in the Hamptons, I make it a priority to stop in for an iced coffee. I love the fresh coffee beans on display. I have eaten here one time - the soup I had was delicious and my boyfriends sandwich was loved. The prices are reasonable. read more

We got take out here on our way back to the city and not only did it take forever, they messed up our order. The staff there have difficulty understanding English (I think most of them are European students here for the summer) which is fine but they insisted our utensils were in our bag but low and behold they were not. they didnt get our order right and it took forever to get it right cause they couldnt understand. Was disappointed by the poor service. But the sorbet station was good. only saving grace read more

After my last review of this place being 1 star, I'm upgrading it to 3 stars because the owner cares about his customers. They took the time to address my concerns and therefor I would recommend for other people to give it a try. I will also give it another try. Wow, that is great coffee!! I had an amazing latte. $4.13. I know, I know. That is how much a latte costs nowadays. But wow- why so expensive? I had a sample of Chloe's soft serve from the stand in the back. WOW! That stuff is amazing! WOW! I noticed they have some locations in NYC and will definitely be seeking those out. From their website: "Made from only 3 ingredients: real fruit, water, and a touch of organic cane sugar, Soft Serve Fruit is free of dairy, gluten, fat, and all 8 major allergens. It is Kosher Pareve and less than 90 calories in a 3.5 oz serving." You gotta try this stuff! Love the coffee. read more

I am not a huge fan although my friends swear by it. While it is convienent and the coffee smells good (I don't drink coffee so maybe I missing the best part), the food was meh and left a lot to be desired. Its not hard to make these sorts of dishes, soups, salads, omelettes, but yet somehow they didn't do a good job in getting the basics done in my opinion. The service was slow and they have something funny going on with their A/C because half of the table was freezing and the other have boiling. Me and my bf went there last week and it is a cute little place and wasn't busy the waitress brought our drinks but then it took a little while for someone to come back I ordered the BLT on Tuscan bread with fresh mozzarella and my bf ordered the fish and chips. I was very disappointed on the BLT it was hard bacon over cooked and the fresh mozzarella was a joke was not happy the only saving grace was that the fish and chips with tarter sauce was incredible I kept stealing bites from my bf. After we payed we got some coffee to go I got the caramel freeze which was incredible so much better then D&D and my bf got a Chai tea which he thought was really good. I will probably try this again and order something different but was disappointed in the wait staff they took a while considering they were not busy. read more

The food is fine, but I feel like whenever I go there are very limited options of bagels (I usually go around 9 AM, so they shouldn't only have two flavors left over by then). That being said, the coffee is really great. I will come back, but it's not my go-to spot. read more

We were on the rainy road and pulled over to this gem. The Chia Tea Latte, Gluten Free Brownies and Chocolate Truffle Coffee are the best one's that I have ever had. Food is also served including a mango, goat cheese quesadilla. The atmosphere is relaxing. They even have different coffee beans in buckets to purchase. The staff is helpful especially Timothy. He is very kind to every single person that walks in the door. We are not the type of people who sit for hours and drink coffee/tea but 2.5 hours later we are still enjoying ourself. I have been coming to HCC for a number of years because of it's convenient location to both my house and place of work. That said, I have been consistently let down by their staff. I spent $10.66 on an everything bagel and a chai latte which was SUPPOSED to have espresso added. Upon opening my bag of breakfast at work, I was surprised to find a cinnamon raisin bagel and in my cup, a plain chai latte. I was the only person placing an order in the grab and go side of the shop so I am disappointed with the lack of precision ESPECIALLY considering I paid extra for the espresso. It's also extremely aggravating that I did not receive 2/2 of the items I ordered correctly. If you are going to charge on the heavy end for things, you owe it to your customers to get it right EVERY TIME. As a regular customer there, I have sadly experienced this several times as well as inconsistent pricing location to location. If I weren't limited by the proximity of my workplace for a quick bite, I can wholeheartedly say I wouldn't come back. This is years of silent disappointment- I am fed up. read more

Hampton Coffee Company is a welcomed alternative to The Golden Pear but it too has become crowded. There is a choice of indoor or outdoor patio seating. The breakfasts here, however, are better and more reasonably priced, especially when you factor in that you have table service. I and many friends frequented this establishment often this summer and enjoyed it. The coffee is very good and served in real cups, not paper. The one drawback is the American blond waitress/hostess working in August 2011. She has a sour demeanor and seems overwhelmed when handling the hostess responsibilities. Just around the corner from my home in a converted garage sits the most wonderful coffeeshop in the world, Hampton Coffee. Not only do they roast their own coffeebeans, but they also offer the most tasty treats and delcious breakfast (served all day) and lunch. They have the cafe where you can grab your coffee and food on-the-go, or they have a small sit-down area where the friendly waitstaff is ready to take your order. Beware, because this place is so very awesome, it can get extremely packed during prime lunch or breakfast hours (especially with obnoxius Manhattan-ites) Please don't let that scare you away. The food is just devine and with so many healthy selections made-to-order, everyone in your party will be satisfied. read more

I really really wish they would get it together over here. It's hit or miss. The coffe was so strong that I had to ask for water. The food is usually good but you never know. I have always enjoyed this special place. Went last week for a nice time with the hubby. Had the most delicious chai tea latte and omelet with spinach and goat cheese. Just the right amount of food. The staff is super friendly. Service was fast and breakfast was delicious. The three egg omelet with a nice selection of add ons is the perfect customizable breakfast. French Press coffee is a treat to have at the table - made to order for 1-2. I was able to take a cup on the road! My waitress Racine was absolutely lovely! This is a pretty solid coffee shop: after an extremely disappointing experience at a different coffee shop down the road, my wife and I decided to stop at this location. We both got a cappuccino freeze (mine with almond milk, hers with soy), and the drinks were enjoyable. I also purchased a lemon zest square that looks amazing (taste TBD). My wife also noted that the restrooms were remarkably clean, and use solar power in the shop as well. We purchased one pound of their roaster's pick of the month, Rwanda AA and the employees asked if we wanted it ground. Convenient but overpriced local coffee stop with good espresso drinks. Appreciate that they now use the Pacifica soy milk, as it makes a big difference in taste. That said, the prices are significantly higher than independent NYC coffee shops -- our two-person coffee order that costs $8 at Joe's or Third Rail somehow costs $11 here, and the espresso is not nearly as good. read more

Food and coffee are excellent everyday all day

What a surprise! We stopped on our way to the Montauk Lighthouse in what we thought would be a quick lunch in a strip-mall restaurant. Instead we had lunch in a lovely garden with great food and service. I had delicious enchiladas and my sister had a great quinoa salad. And affagados! Who knew we could find such an eclectic wonderful meal on the side of the road. The service was perfect with a great waiter (sorry--forgot his name) who we found out had Polish ancestors and we shared memories of dishes our grandmothers made. Seriously how does a breakfast place not know how to cook a sunny side up egg? I sent the egg back twice on my sunrise burger because the white was still translucent and not cooked completely. I have never left a zero tip in my life, but today was a first. We were ordering our food and got snark from the waitress/bartender whom I later learned is the manager. Nothing welcoming about this experience at all. Really odd. I ordered huevos rancheros and I got out-of -the-refrigerator cold tortillas with way overdone scrambled eggs sitting on top, This dish typically should come hot and with cheese, onions and avocado. it was awful. I asked for the manager and Ms. Snark showed up and further demonstrated her ineptitude for anything to do with the service industry. I have been to this place many times and the front counter employees are great. Be careful of the dining area and rude employees. read more
