Coffee/ TV area of breakfast area

Very nice hotel within the Hilton system. Check in has security at the front. Small snack store and a few basic medicines available for purchase. Breakfast area is immaculate and plentiful. Coffee and TV area is very nice with lively views. The rooms are comfortable and we had the mini bar which was nice with a large counter, microwave, and mini fridge. Bathrooms are new and have a nice counter area. Provided soaps are nice.

Great location only 3 blocks away from the Chicago River/Esplanade and 4 blocks away from Michigan Avenue. Great location to walk to most of the tourist attractions within 15-20 minutes. The check-in process was easy but....no early check-in. Upon arriving at 3pm, we could NOT check in early. (Normal check-in time is 4pm) We, along with about 20 others, were waiting in the main lobby area to check in. You may want to plan ahead to squeeze in some attractions or restaurants to kill some time before check-in, if needed. The room (1-bedroom suite) was great. Very well-maintained. Two large TVs with lots of channels, lots of outlets including USB and wireless options, comfortable beds, comfortable sofabed, lots of tables and sitting chairs, good water pressure and adequate temperature control units. My only gripe for the room would be the microwave...it was small, dated and underpowered. It took about two minutes to heat a slice of pizza so that the cheese can melt...any modern microwave would have accomplished that in about 30 seconds. The cleaning service was excellent...stopping by every morning to refresh the room and provide clean towels. They were very accommodating when being asked to come later in the morning/day. On the second floor, there was a fitness center, a pool and breakfast area (free from 7am - 10am every morning). I didn't use the pool or fitness center but the breakfast was what you'd expect...continental plus a few hot options (eggs, home fries...). Valet parking at $69 per night was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The valet attendants there were all very responsive...I never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for the car. (The valet lot is about 2 blocks away, which is the same as the self parking to my understanding) You can also call ahead for them to retrieve your car. Overall, the staff was excellent. From front desk to valet attendants to cleaners...no issues at all. Very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Safe immediate area. There are restaurants and bars in the area that are lively into the evening hours. But as with visiting any large city, it is always a good idea to stay alert and be aware of your surroundings at all times. There were a few homeless people around but I never felt unsafe. Note that during the overnight hours (we observed this as we were leaving at 4am on our departure day) there is a security guard stationed near the lobby area...which is reassuring. Overall we had a great experience at the Hampton Inn...kudos to the staff for making our Chicago Visit a pleasure.

The receptionist was more than willing to answer my phone calls. What is this, a museum? The art was amazing. Curiously, I found that the ice machine had been dispensing cubes of 7-Up instead of water. Since I couldn't resist my favorite soft drink, I decided to pack the ice in a zip lock baggie to save for later. Although, it didn't take long before I had foolishly melted the carbonated soda into my luggage. My luck continued when I found leftover Chinese food in the fridge from a previous guest. I could hardly even tell that it was expired, and it paired fairly well with my baggie of 7-Up. The toilet was a throne fit for a king. And once tripled up, the toilet paper was more than sufficient to stop the uncontrollable diarrhea that consumed my night. To my surprise, there was a Quran in the drawer instead of a bible. I found it to be a delightful read. Alhamdulillah, my friends. I rate the Skokie, Illinois Hampton Inn five stars.

For the most part all things went great! Good location, stunning views, good free breakfast, and friendly staff. We stayed in a King room and it was clean and nice. The only that would have used improvement was the fact the Kleenex ran out right away, our remote needed batteries (maids wouldn't know this), and we could always use more towels. Toliet is slow and you had to flush most times 2 times just to get things down. Didn't hear anyone else except a little during the day. Our daughter enjoyed the pool. This was a nice place and we'd stay here again!

The resturant oilo de piu attached to the hotel. Great happy hour and the carbonara is amazing

The hotel is super conveniently located walking distance to alot of fun things. Priced well since breakfast is included. We loved the waffles. The resturant attached to the hotel was to die for. The person who made our trip was Jody at the front desk!! She was so so kind to us and offered great recommendations for our trip. Shes super lovely and a nice face to have at reception.

This is what they "say" your breakfast looks like. That is not even close !

Deluxe King Room; ended up being $174 once all the taxes were added in. Be prepared for higher sales tax. The breakfast was ok. The fruit was not the best. All the bananas were brown. The room was average. The mattress was uncomfortable for me - very hard. The bathroom wall paper and door had water damage and needs repair. The young lady at the front desk barked at us when we asked about the Hilton honors benefits. This was definitely on the low end of what I was expecting for a Hilton property.

I have spent a few nights here while in town over the past few years. The rates are affordable, spacious and great downtown location. The lobby has plenty of seating available with a mini mart to purchase snacks. The rooms include a microwave, refrigerator, center island top, workstation and let out couch. Complimentary bottles of water, free wi-fi and coffee maker with comfy beds for a good nights rest makes it all right.

Stayed here for 3 nights in May while in town. I had stayed in Chicago at the Wacker Drive location across the river two other times, so this location was a stretch for me. The first drawback was the parking situation. At the other location, you have the luxury of a parking garage a block away. Here there is self park for $55 a day, or valet for $65 a day. So -- I picked valet bc for $10 extra they came bring me my car around. I somehow lucked into a large suite room, which had a living room and kitchenette separated from the bedroom. I really would have rather had a larger bathroom configuration but the room was great. Somehow staying here 3 days, we didn't have housekeeping once, which now that we are out of COVID, carries no excuse. Breakfast area is on 2nd floor and was very big: had omelettes and a large food serving island which I have never seen in any other Hampton. If able, I would score this a 3.5, better than just ok, but some head scratching issues that could easily be handled

Beautiful place to stay while in Chicago. Clean clean hotel and breakfast was great. Beds were like heaven. My grandchildren loved it. Their valet is a plus. Can not ask for a better place to visit the shedd aquarium. Reasonable prices for Chicago. Will definitely be back.

This hotel is centrally located in downtown Chicago, but isn't fully in the mix of everything. It's close, but not too close. We were able to walk to the Magnificent Mile (10 min walk) and drive to the Navy Pier (20 min drive). Upon our arrival, we had to contend with parking (as with all downtown hotels). They charge $65/night for valet, so we went with that option. It was Memorial Day weekend, so there were lots of people on the street who were day-drinking and getting their party started pretty early. With cannabis being legal in Illinois, I will forewarn any non-smokers that the hotel lobby had a strong aroma of cannabis. It's legal to smoke in your own home, but apparently, all don't follow the rules. I imagine it is difficult for the hotel to control, but they should do something to rid the lobby of the smell. The hotel also has a no-party policy, but as soon as we entered, I noticed a bouquet of balloons sitting at the front desk. I joked with the staff about the irony and they explained to me that it was for a children's birthday party. To be honest, kids parties are loud too and I was happy that there weren't a bunch of children running up and down the hallways on my floor. The lobby has a small convenience store with snacks as well as disposable plates and cups for guests to help themselves to. We ordered pizza one of the nights and wished that we had noticed the free plates sooner. The desk also offers free amenities if you forgot something at home. My teenagers asked for toothpaste and were given some free of charge. The rooms were clean-ish (I found hair in the shower) and the "hot breakfast" was giving Continental! There were scrambled eggs and sausage patties as well as a waffle station where you made your own waffles, but that was it for hot food. The spread consisted mostly of fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, etc. They offered hot coffee and tea as well as a variety of fruit juices. I believe they had cold cereal and milk as well. It was okay for what we needed, but we will explore other options next time we are in the city.

Stayed her 3 nights with my wife When we booked we felt the price was a little high, but figured it would be a nice room. We went without a car, took the train into the city and walked everywhere else. Everything is walkable from this location Anyone who had a car at the hotel was NOT happy about the parking the hotel offered. We waited over an hour for our room The room was a handicap unit which we were not told about and did not need! When we finally got into the room it was not thoroughly clean which made me look closer I found mold in the shower and peeling paint These rooms need some TLC badly! If you have allergies I would stay elsewhere On the pm of our last night my wife was having a bad allergic reaction which she has never had before once we left she was better The elevators are dimly lit and give you a pretty clunky ride There were signs on the 10th floor recommending you take the stairs!!!(what if we were handicapped? How would that have worked?) Look I've stayed in the Hilton family of hotels many times before but this was an odd experience and I can honestly say we will not stay here again

    Hotel room.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Room is well-appointed and cozy. Great location in the heart of everything. Couldn't ask for a better option when staying downtown.

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

While searching hilton.com for a hotel to stay at on the day of my birthday, Hampton Inn Majestic…read moreChicago Theatre District was the first to pop-up within Chicago. I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

Hampton Inn majestic will let you relive the Chicago fire!!!…read more Was not a fan of their elevators since they kept jumping from levels 6 and 7 and would randomly stop without being called. The last Hampton inn I got stuck in the elavator and had an off experience with getting help, so I chose to use the stairs. Upon using the stairs we were met with SEVERAL linen boxes blocking our only exit. They were all in different directions and could not be easily rolled out, especially when we were blocked behind them. Instead we had to parkour over it to escape. There was a valet driver sitting at the front and ignored us after I asked for help and continued to say she's just valet she can't do anything. These bins were there for well over an acceptable time, blocking the only stairs and fire safety exit but also for people that didn't enjoy their sketchy elevators. And again, pallets were there days later also blocking the ONLY emergency exit and stairwell exit. Completely unacceptable in a normal city let alone one with history of building fires. Exits should not be blocked and it's clear the building uses this space for "storage" often. Before the fire situation even happened, their breakfast situation was insane. Our first morning was on a Monday. Their service is until 10 am and around 9am we headed down for some fuel. By that time, the dining room was packed, the tiny buffet room was empty of food but packed with people who were waiting for tables, chairs and all of the food to be restocked. One woman was trying to run the whole operation while two men just stood behind the concierge desk and watched the shit show of breakfast service happen in front of them. Someone should have helped her get breakfast together. Even if it wasn't their job, in hospitality, their job as hotel manger or anyone who works in the hotel is to make sure the guest have a pleasant stay, not to look pretty sitting in front of the Hampton inn welcome to Chicago sign. Overall unorganized and not something nice to look at when you first walk into a hotel lobby, chaos. You would think the grievances would stop there. However we were then denied the benefits that we get as gold Hilton members. Previously at hiltons and Hilton branches we have been offered two bottles of water per room per day. Most of the time they would be offered upon check in (which they did not) and given daily throughout our stay. This time the concierge allowed my mom just to go grab them out of the fridge. The next day we did the same and the concierge Robyn gave me immediate backlash even after I said we were previously allowed to take them. She repeatedly said I was wrong and gave no hospitality to hear my side of the story. I didn't want to cause a scene and returned my water. She then slammed them onto our table as I was eating breakfast with my family. Definitely could have been better ways for her to deal with the problem and I did not appreciate the hostility coming from the concierge at 9 am. We were already all crammed at a small table because there are no seating arrangements easily accessible for families or even enough seats in the dining room. One star because housekeeping did great and my room was clean and refreshed when necessary (and because zero is not an option) Otherwise I would hope I never have to stay here again.

Kudos to her and to the team that hired her. My room was beautiful. Nia also let me know I had been upgraded due to my Marriott loyalty, which was very much appreciated. I stayed in a king room, and the moment I walked in, I honestly considered extending my stay another night. The space had a sleek, modern look, everything was clean, and the lighting gave it a stylish city vibe. I ordered room service shortly after arriving and got a burger with fries (which I believe were Parmesan fries ). Everything was very good, and the room service attendant Lorena was just as kind and pleasant. Even though I was only there for one night, the experience was great from start to finish. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh, and the location is incredibly convenient--close to everything, which I always appreciate when traveling. I will definitely look to stay here again the next time I'm in Chicago and hope to have the same wonderful experience.

The hotel staff did a great job of making sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The servers were hit or miss when it comes to attentiveness but we had Steve on our last day and he was awesome. The location was great, you're within walking distance of Michigan Ave and there is a Garrett's popcorn right down the street.

Truly a 5 star experience at The Langham!…read more I was lucky enough to be gifted a stay and had an incredible time. The hotel is so beautiful, I can see why it's ranked #3 in the nation. If you're able to splurge for club access at $200/person, you'll get to experience stunning city views, breakfast, afternoon tea, snacks, unlimited cocktails, and evening bites. We were also sent a bottle of wine and snacks to our room. I loved that they have a free spa area where you can use the sauna, heated stone loungers, and cold showers. The pool was stunning and we enjoyed swimming, just wish the hot tub was hotter as it was lukewarm. The room was great as well with a Nespresso machine and relaxing tub. Every time we stepped out of the room we would come back to a nice surprise, the room would be cleaned or they would leave the water and ice. Very attentive customer service here. Overall it was nice to live in luxury for the night, highly recommend if you're looking to splurge and relax! Hope I'll be able to stay again someday.

Our view was stunning and I loved I could see downtown and the river from our room. We booked the cinema suite for a cute movie night and I loved that. They had a cute popcorn station with candy and pop, plus you can order room service. The spa was amazing and the facilities were nice.

I've been to Miru many times and finally got to try out the hotel for a staycation…read more Pros: -I loved that they had two restaurant options in the hotel. Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.

This hotel has it all from Pilates, to Barre to Yoga to their Athletic Club and Pool…read more The only complaint is that it's not bunched with the other hotels, its toward the end of Wacker next to the lake. So, walking from the Blackbawks shop when it's 20° isn't an easy task. Also, I wasn't able to try the Tre Dita since I didn't book a reservation in advance. Hopefully, I can schedule a reservation in the future. Plus, since it was mid-December, the St Regis had their third annual 12 Days of Sabrage, which guests of honor perform the evening ritual of champagne sabrage, which celebrates the transition from day to night. They offered complimentary toast of champagne and a Vosges Haut-Chocolate truffle. The hotel encouraged everyone to bring a new or lightly used winter clothing for children in need.
