View from our living room window. Bedroom off to the right.

I was visiting for the weekend for my anniversary. We stayed Thursday to Sunday and had a good experience. We got a 1 bedroom suite that had basically a full kitchen and pull out couch bed. The bed was comfortable, the couch was not. The cushions were quite thin and I would guess that when the bed is pulled out that it would butt up right against the dresser/tv stand. The bedroom was small enough that there was no dresser in there, just the one in the living room. No biggie for just the 2 of us. Bathroom was clean and everything in good repair. The only noise we experienced was being near the housekeeping rooms and service elevator. Again, not a big deal. I would like to point out that they must have recently increased the valet parking rate. We were given a card that showed the rate as $70 but when we had arrived, found that they covered the rate with a paper showing as $78/night for our stay. The free breakfast was satisfactory with a fair amount of choices. Location is good, but it is a business district. So not a lot of late night options. Target is maybe 2-3 blocks away and 7-11 is just around the corner. We walked to Millineum Park without issue. Would stay here again but hope to find another Marriott hotel in a more lively section of downtown.

This is our second stay at the Residence Inn Chicago downtown/loop. First and foremost the staff has been extremely accommodating and polite, professional and genuinely nice! As you arrive on the second floor, check in, the lobby is clean and attractive. On this floor you can enjoy sitting in the lounge to relax, pull up a chair at the bar in the evening and have a complimentary breakfast (hot and cold foods) in the morning. The rooms are nice size with a kitchen, microwave/oven and cooktop along with dishes and pots for cooking. Full size fridge great for longer stays (which we do when we are in Chicago visiting family). There is a nice desk as I often work remotely a few of the days when we are in town and there is a separate bedroom with a door that provides privacy and a bit of quiet when I'm up working early and the better half is still asleep. There is a workout facility on site as well. I will continue to come back to this hotel for our regular trips to Chicago based on the above as well as its convenient location.

The first reason we chose to stay at this hotel because it only take around 10mins by walking from train station and restaurants nearby. We arrived by train around noon so we really appreciated the hotel let us check in early. Room is located on 21st floor, spacious and plenty of rooms for my toddler to play. Breakfast was surprisingly very good, fill up regularly and the sever comes by very often to clear dirty plates. The shower in bathroom is ok except the water leaks constantly when shower is on, dripping on the metal drain and it got quite loud and not even stop right away even after you turn off water. It would stop after 2-3 mins after turn off water. Recommend one more hook for towel or clothes as the whole bathroom only has 1 hook. Elevator had a long wait on Sunday. We waited like 10mins just to go back to the room after breakfast. We still enjoy our stay and look forward to another future stay when we use the train again.

I got a good opportunity to use most of the amenities of the hotel during my 10 day stay. The rooms are a little fucky if you have an inside room. I was on the ss second floor which required two sets of elevators. The room windows were opaque so I could see out. The laundry room was very clean and functional. The machines take credit cards which is fantastic! The only miss is the soap machine requires quarters. Why not make everything electronic? That's a miss. The gym had just enough equipment to get a nice workout completed. All of the treadmills and ellipticals were divided by plastic. I had a hard time signing in to track my workouts with the QR code. The cleaning crew was on point, they always left extra towels and made sure I had enough soaps and paper towels. The front desk and staff at breakfast was very cool and helpful.

Loved my stay here. Absolutely great with issues. Allow us to check in early. And they are conveniently located to most things in the downtown radius.

Loved this hotel. I stayed here during the Chicago Marathon weekend. It is perfect, it has a huge kitchen area and separate sitting area. Bathroom was very large too. Felt like home away from home. Complimentary coffee and breakfast in the lobby during certain hours. Great safe location. Friendly staff. Clean room. I would definitely recommend!

I stayed at this residence Inn by Marriott in Chicago for three nights in October. I had to be let in by the security guard at first because the doors were locked and you need a key card for entry. I was directed to the elevator where I needed to check in. This is a hotel where, it is my favorite set up, but, you have to go to another floor to check in and then go to your room. I always get annoyed when I find hotels like this just because I feel like it is somewhat unnecessary considering the hotel is the only thing in this building. Once on the second floor I waited to be checked in and I was greeted by a lovely associate who gave me the lowdown of the hotel. There is a snack bar off to the side where you can have items charge to your room such as wine beer chips and other snacks. There was a breakfast available from 6 AM to 9 AM but I did not go to try it. There is no valet available so you have to self park across the street. The hotel will give you your own parking pass which is charged to your room for in and out privileges my check out was at 4 PM and they let me use the parking garage until 5 PM the same day as my check out. If you do not move your car after that you will be charged the hourly rate. After checking in I was able to go to my room on the 10th floor. The residence in room was a one bedroom suite which had a full kitchen, living space, king bed and a huge shower. I wasn't a fan of the lighting since it was more yellow than the white and felt a little dreary inside. Having before refrigerator was great since I was there a few days and I could go and stock up on snacks and other food items to save myself money. The kitchen had a large bar on it that I could use as a desk since I was working remotely from the hotel. Since I am a bonvoy member i was able to access the premium WiFi for free. The hotel was seemingly quiet. I didn't see many people while i was there. There is no real view from any floor since they aren't higher than any other building nearby. It was clean which is huge right now and I enjoyed my stay completely.

We stayed at the Residence inn by Marriott hotel in Chicago, the loop, with my wife and my other friend, who came with his wife to celebrate both of our anniversaries. Before this trip, I called the hotel and Marriott customer service multiple times to see if this hotel offers any anniversary packages. Marriott's customer service offered us a complimentary upgrade because they said some packages might not be available around the holiday season. Let me tell you about our worst hotel and customer service experience. We walked in on December 26th, 2022 to your hotel at 11:16 PM; Bria was at the counter, and she wasn't really happy, which is ok; I understand this is late night. Based on her behaviors, I noticed that maybe she is new to this job. I greeted her nicely and told her this was our first time in Chicago and first time in your hotel, and quietly told her to look at the notes from the customer service agent and the person who added notes at your hotel because we wanted to surprise our wives. She brought her supervisor or manager to the counter from the back, and his name was Sam. Sam didn't even look at us or greet us the entire time. The real customer service is "Hello, Mr.customer or Hello, Dear, welcome to our hotel; what can I do for you? " anyways after that, He started saying something in Bria's ears that we can't upgrade the room, and we can't honor the anniversary package, and he said something to Bria to force us to buy something, and he left. Bria had difficulty translating sam's conversation, and she said, no, we couldn't upgrade you and do the anniversary package. Right after we got into rooms, I called Marriott corporate. After being on the call for 1 hour on the same night, the supervisor promised to email your management team so they could move us to another room and provide us with whatever we needed since no service was provided to us that night. We walked into our rooms 1504 and 1503. Room 1503 water was not working, and we had to go down and see if we could get another room, so they moved us to 1502. Room 1504- -the hand moisturizer was used, and the bottle was half empty. -blanket sheet was dirty, and there was a stain on it. Room 1502: - Blood stain on the blanket (Picture attached) - no room service -Thursday 29, 2022) We walked into the lobby and asked the person on the counter to send room service and replace our towels, and the girl took a note. We returned to our room at 9:00 PM nothing was done; there was no room service and towels. My Friend from another room also requested the same service, and he didn't get anything. He walked into the lobby to complain, and SAM was on the counter; he asked to see another manager because SAM was super rude to us the first time. Someone else came. Her name was (Dimitris not sure how to spell it). She was nice. Whatever my friend said, sam was like I will talk to Mr.Van regarding to your concerns, but he is currently on vacation for the past few days. He looked into my friend's eye and lied. We saw Tummie in the breakfast area for the past 2 or 3 days with all of your other staff, and this guy SAM who is the supervisor lies to us in our faces. The first and last point of contact is the lobby counter, and if we get a terrible first expression, you are done guests will not be happy for the rest of the time that they stay there. If someone doesn't want to work the night shift, they should either work the day shift or quit their job. Please read how many complaints about this hotel's night crew and customer service. I grabbed GM's name Tummie when he was at breakfast time, and I didn't want to bring the blanket with blood stains to the breakfast area and make a scene in front of so many guests. After Emailing the Hotel General Manager, Tummie, we received nothing, so we had to come up to him at breakfast time, but since he knows how to play his game, he said I'm still investigating because he didn't want to say anything in front of other guests. Right after everyone left for breakfast, he called our room instead of coming and knocking on our room and asking us to come down to talk to him. He talked for almost 15-20 minutes and said, "I couldn't give a $1000 per night room to someone who only paid $100 per night, I care about my hotel profit, and I can't upgrade". At one point, he said he was traveling, and he got tired of his wife, so he came back to work. What kind of talk is this? This came from someone who cares about people or doesn't even care about his family. I talked to him regarding the reviews, and he was like, "I read all the reviews, and all of them are for the height of the hotel, which I can't do anything about it; I can't raise this building to get a better view for our guests." He is just covering up his staff; I'm not sure if Sam, who was at the front counter, may be his cousin or daughter's husband or something. We stayed six days at this hotel, and no upgrade or anniversary package was provided.

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

While searching hilton.com for a hotel to stay at on the day of my birthday, Hampton Inn Majestic…read moreChicago Theatre District was the first to pop-up within Chicago. I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

Shout-out to Nia at the front desk, who was the first person I encountered when I walked in. Her energy was exactly what you want as a guest--warm, welcoming, and professional. I've spent most of my career in hospitality, so I naturally pay attention to the level of service being provided, and she absolutely set the tone for a great stay. Kudos to her and to the team that hired her. My room was beautiful. Nia also let me know I had been upgraded due to my Marriott loyalty, which was very much appreciated. I stayed in a king room, and the moment I walked in, I honestly considered extending my stay another night. The space had a sleek, modern look, everything was clean, and the lighting gave it a stylish city vibe. I ordered room service shortly after arriving and got a burger with fries (which I believe were Parmesan fries ). Everything was very good, and the room service attendant Lorena was just as kind and pleasant. Even though I was only there for one night, the experience was great from start to finish. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh, and the location is incredibly convenient--close to everything, which I always appreciate when traveling. I will definitely look to stay here again the next time I'm in Chicago and hope to have the same wonderful experience.

Clean lines, moody lighting, and that subtle blend of science-meets-art that somehow feels both curated and effortless. The art isn't decorative filler; it's intentional. The whole property has that boutique confidence: not loud, not trendy-for-the-sake-of-trendy...just precise. The aesthetic walks a tightrope between laboratory chic and soulful design, and it doesn't fall. The restaurant deserves its own paragraph. The olive cake alone should have a publicist. The food is thoughtful, layered, and memorable without being pretentious. It feels like someone actually tasted everything before approving the menu; which, these days, is not a given. Location? Ideal. Walkable, central, easy. The gym? Surprisingly solid. Not the sad afterthought treadmill situation. An actual usable space. But here's the thing. Beautiful rooms fade. Art becomes background. Even olive cake, tragically, gets finished. What stays is service. And Nia. Nia is the reason my long stay didn't feel like a stay. It felt like being known. Her smile isn't transactional. Her care isn't performative. The attention to detail is quiet and precise. She remembered my name everyday and I was there for a while. Makes you think, "Oh, someone is actually paying attention." There's a difference between service and hospitality. Nia understands the difference. That's what brings you back.

Truly a 5 star experience at The Langham!…read more I was lucky enough to be gifted a stay and had an incredible time. The hotel is so beautiful, I can see why it's ranked #3 in the nation. If you're able to splurge for club access at $200/person, you'll get to experience stunning city views, breakfast, afternoon tea, snacks, unlimited cocktails, and evening bites. We were also sent a bottle of wine and snacks to our room. I loved that they have a free spa area where you can use the sauna, heated stone loungers, and cold showers. The pool was stunning and we enjoyed swimming, just wish the hot tub was hotter as it was lukewarm. The room was great as well with a Nespresso machine and relaxing tub. Every time we stepped out of the room we would come back to a nice surprise, the room would be cleaned or they would leave the water and ice. Very attentive customer service here. Overall it was nice to live in luxury for the night, highly recommend if you're looking to splurge and relax! Hope I'll be able to stay again someday.

Our view was stunning and I loved I could see downtown and the river from our room. We booked the cinema suite for a cute movie night and I loved that. They had a cute popcorn station with candy and pop, plus you can order room service. The spa was amazing and the facilities were nice.

I've been to Miru many times and finally got to try out the hotel for a staycation…read more Pros: -I loved that they had two restaurant options in the hotel. Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.

So, walking from the Blackbawks shop when it's 20° isn't an easy task. Also, I wasn't able to try the Tre Dita since I didn't book a reservation in advance. Hopefully, I can schedule a reservation in the future. Plus, since it was mid-December, the St Regis had their third annual 12 Days of Sabrage, which guests of honor perform the evening ritual of champagne sabrage, which celebrates the transition from day to night. They offered complimentary toast of champagne and a Vosges Haut-Chocolate truffle. The hotel encouraged everyone to bring a new or lightly used winter clothing for children in need.
