This was a decent deal that we had that wasn't too far from Carmel by the sea that also wasn't price gouging. Staff when seen was friendly. Room was nice. Some staff we interacted with seemed clueless but friendly. Would look into staying with Hampton inn and suites again.

Stayed here for one night The room had very exquisite beds, comfy and clean. The bathroom was splendid. Nothin much else to say about the rooms The best part of this place was the complimentary breakfast. There was a variety of items to choose from, fresh waffles, bagels, muffins, eggs, omelettes, boiled eggs, and sausages. The waffles were nice and light and the english muffin made a great addition to my plate. Id say the best thing was the sausages. They were extremely good and cooked to perfection. They were so good i took some for the road! The coffee and hot cocoa were also exquisite. Compliments to the chef and staff who made the breakfast available. Definitely a 5 star.

Solid 4 stars, the reason not 5 is usual hotel issues of noise, which plagues most low level mid level and even high level hotels. This one in particular the doors ARE SO LOUD when they shut. Ridiculously loud. Also can hear people above you walking around. Annoying. I'm also an extremely light sleeper so that also plays into my issues (and yes I sleep with ear plugs) Now let's get to the good part.... We would definitely come back to this hotel, brand new obviously has its perks, everything is clean and in great shape. I booked a studio, one king bed, desk in middle, couch, refrigerator, microwave, and wet bar. Perfect for my hubs and the little monsters (two fur babies they allow for a 75$ one time fee which i felt was reasonable) The bed was comfortable, not too soft not too hard. Pillows are ok. Room was a great size for us it was room 326 and was at the end of the hallway next to stairs. Large open bathroom with closet inside. Provided soaps, shampoo, conditioner. Barn sliding door from bedroom to bathroom has full length mirror. There are built in drawers under the area of the TV I just noticed while sitting on couch writing this. How smart! The colors and artwork in the room and throughout the hotel are aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. Provides continental breakfast, the star of that show is the waffles. YUM. I could pass on everything else but it is a decent choice of egg white frittata, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, pastries, bananas/oranges etc. also snacks for purchase in the lobby. Staff was all friendly. There is a dog area but it does have bark/wood chips. Doggie bags provided. Dog gifts given at lobby upon check on! Includes a toy and on the go water bowl! There is only one entrance at this time which makes it a little annoying to get back out onto the freeway but no big deal just thought I'd mention the logistics, it does look like there is a second entrance it's just blocked right now. Across the street is a 7/11 and about 3 minutes away is a Starbucks. Not too much more right around here but we didn't explore much in Marina as we were here for Monterey/Carmel everything we were looking for was an easy approx 10-20 minutes away. I do have to mention the hotel is right off highway 1, but I did not hear highway noise which is a big plus. Would return again!

Tables and chairs were supplied by Hampton Inn. Table cloths and flowers we brought ourselves

This review is not for staying there, but rather for renting out 2 conjoined conference rooms for a gathering. They removed the barrier for us to make it like one big room. We were very happy with how it turned out. They supplied the tables and chairs and we supplied our own table cloths, flowers and food. I think they also supplied coffee, creamer and sugar. It was the perfect space for about 50-60 people. Besides whats shown in my pics, after the pics were taken we also set up several chairs along the wall for additional seating. Pretty sure we had a total of about 60, maybe even 70 people. Plenty of parking. Convenient. Can park close to the door so that you don't have to walk far to your car to get your party supplies. Renting this was reasonably priced and I highly recommend it!

Hampton Coffee. Good flavor but could have been much hotter.

I make a point to always try and stay at Hampton Inn/Hilton if I can. Usually the comfortable beds, clean, functional rooms and friendly staff is well worth the price I pay. I booked a large room in Marina after a very long exhausting day in Monterey. This was the first "vacation" I've had solo in years. I was looking forward to enjoying that special light that one can experience on the coastal towns but upon entering the room I found that the black out curtain was inoperative...I called down but maintenance was gone for the day. The hotel was booked (everyone trying to get away from the 108* temps over in the valley! I paid $310 for the room. I was willing to let the curtain thing go and head to bed. But then I found the Fan feature on the thermostat was also inoperative and I wouldn't be able to use that for white noise and air circulation. This was definitely not ideal. At this point, I am tired and I just drift off to sleep. Imagine my surprise when I wake up at 5:30 am to the sound of a child above me jumping off of furniture and landing directly above where my bed was in the room below. I called down to the desk and asked nicely if maybe they could call up and ask if they could stop the jumping. The jumping went on for an hour and I finally gave up on getting any sleep, got up and came down to the front lobby. I asked the front desk if there was anything they could do. I have never had this kind of experience at a Hampton before. Ever. She said she would take $50 off of the $310 room. While I appreciate it and thanked her I can't help but feel that when not one, not two but three pretty large things go wrong with the room perhaps one should be comped a little more than $50. This was the worst sleep I've ever had in a Hampton Inn and was beyond disappointing. I spent my first vacation in 5 years unable to sleep in the very expensive room I booked. I would also like to add, I am a very frequent guest. I have stayed in Hampton Inn (Patterson) long term last year when I was house hunting...completely different experience!!! The positive thing that I will say is I had a lovely conversation with the staff member who was working in the kitchen area. She was so friendly, she kept the breakfast and coffee fresh, the counters were absolutely clean and her friendly conversation made me feel a little bit better after experiencing such a rough stay!

What can I really say besides this place is a GEM! On April 7th Josh & a few other people really helped us out. Running a little late but they made sure we were okay. On April 8th we were in our hotel and omg the rooms were AMAZING! Highly recommend getting a suit because they're really spaces & beautiful. On the 9th upon check out we extended our stay with Brianna (Shout to Bri she was AMAZING). Not only did she help us extend she gave us some places to visit. Which really helped our stay. After extending our stay and spending with Brianna we ran into Yvonne ! She was working the morning breakfast. She kept the area clean, was help to us & other guest, she offered to clean up peoples mess even when they tried to do it themselves, she told us about everything for breakfast & lastly she gave us places to visit as well. (Yvonne you are Amazing) Thank you Hampton for amazing 31st birthday! Rooms :10/10 Breakfast: 10/10 Name on the tv : 10000/10 (I felt seen & heard) Employees: 100000000000/10 I appreciate you guys so much!

The additional space would have been nice for two adults and their furry friend. It was still a great room with an awesome view of the dunes and water. Check in was terrific. The lobby is beautiful and stocked for a quick whatever you might want. There is a backyard behind the lobby that is sheltered from those pesky ocean breezes with firepit, tables, chairs and other stuff. Nice touch. Our room was spotless. The bathroom was very nice. Clean and let me say that the shower was fantastic. There is a heater/fan in the bathroom that made getting out of the shower, pleasantly warm. Toiletries are of nice quality. Our dog, Sian found the stick library very useful and she had a blast going after it on the beach and in the ocean. She even brought it back to the library the morning we left, for others to use during their stay. The pet welcome is a nice touch. This site is very pet friendly. Not so much for the timeshares that are on the same property. And that's fine. Parking is not allowed at the units. You are driven to your unit by one of the great golf cart drivers. Zach was our driver. Loaded all our luggage on to the the cart. As we journeyed to our cottage, Zach pointed out sites as well as amenities. Unloaded our luggage as wll as went and got us ice as we settled in. If you need help getting to your car, onsite restaurant or the lobby, just call the lobby about 10 minutes before you want to go and someone will be there. The restaurant is great. We ate there twice and had breakfast delivered to our unit twice. The bread platter... OMG... the bread platter. We loved it so much that we went to Otto's bakery in Salinas on our way out of town to bring it home with us. The restaurant is not open for breakfast but, at check in, you will get a room service menu that that's how you can have breakfast onsite. More on the restaurant in that review... Can't wait to go back. Have to say that overall, this is probably in our top 3 of vacation spots. Including Hawaii. It's just great.

I had this…read morehotel saved for a long time and booked it after seeing so many glowing reviews about the pet-friendly luxury experience. We paid around $1,000 for one night, so I arrived excited and expecting something special. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite. Many of the pet-friendly touches that influenced me to book were missing at check-in. There was no personalized dog welcome setup, no dog package, and my dog's name was not on the welcome sign until I called later. I had also requested a simple welcome card for my mother-in-law's first trip to California, and although staff said they would gladly do it, it was never done. We also had multiple room issues throughout the stay. The TV was not working, the phone buttons to reach the front desk did not work, there was no extra pillow for the fold-out bed, and there was even a leftover dog chew from a previous guest found in the bed. To be fair, the maintenance employee was kind and helpful, and the complimentary bottle of wine was appreciated. However, for this price point, the lack of attention to detail and overall service was really disappointing. What upset me most was checkout. I politely explained that I was disappointed and thought at minimum the pet fee might be removed, but there was no effort to make things right beyond emailing the receipt. Beautiful location, but the experience did not match the cost or reputation. I truly wanted to love this stay and left sad and let down instead.

This. Place. SUCKS!…read more You can hear EVERYTHING. The engines and security beeps of every car in the parking lot. The obnoxious kids running and yelling endlessly up and down the hallway outside your door. The neighbor's TV and conversation and snoring in every room adjacent to your own. Every door opening and closing all night long.... And that's just OUTSIDE your room. Inside, the AC/fan is loud and the beds creak and groan every time you breathe. I barely slept might #1 and judging by the crowd of elephants that just entered the room next door, I won't get much more tonight as I'm typing this at 11 PM. The layout of the room is awful. As soon as someone opens the door, everyone inside is blasted by either the outdoor lights or the sun. The bathroom is ridiculously tiny. You can barely get inside to close the door to use the toilet. The shower curtain bar was falling out of the wall, drooping, and causing the curtain to continously slip to the middle of the bar, letting all the shower spray out onto the floor. And nevermind any soft or adjustable lighting--it's all harsh, bright light ricocheting across mirrors so no one can sleep if one person is up. The floor creaks when you walk and was filthy and gritty when we arrived. There's mildew and mold in most corners and all over the bathroom. The toilet seat is such flimsy, cheap plastic you can't sit on it without it sliding half of the toilet or bowing under you. Did I mention that you will hear all the screaming and crying children on either side of you all hours of the night? The parking lot was NEVER full, but the place still put everyone in consecutive rooms when clearly there were empty rooms that could have been used to space us all out to make buffers for noise since this place has zero soundproofing. The room as a whole was grimy and dirty. Stuff on the walls, paint peeling, bathroom and bathtub surfaces cracked, rusted, and moldy. Absolutely disgusting. The only positives I can cite are the blackout curtains (worked well) and that there was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The continental breakfast was okay, too. But if you actually want to sleep on your trip, don't stay here. This place clearly does not care one bit about helping you get a decent night's rest. Never. Ever. Again.

That was a bit frustrating as we have a 10-month old we just drove with for a couple hours. Either way, we went a couple blocks down the road and had some pizza while we waited for the room. Now for the room, when we arrive, the door to the full-size refrigerator was open. Therefore, the refrigerator was not cold at all and the groceries we brought would have to stay in the cooler until the refrigerator became cold enough. Upon my investigation, when the door to the hotel room opens, the handle briefly attaches to the door of the refrigerator, pulling that open as the heavy room door shuts. Voila - Sherlock Holmes has cracked the case! HA! Bathroom - a couple of issues here; the Water pressure - there was none! Also, there was no bathtub for the baby which we requested a room with a bathtub. Let's talk space and beds. It had two queen-sized beds, room was spacious enough for us 3 adults and baby. There was a couch which pulled out into a sleeper. Comfortable? NOT IN THE LEAST! The mattress on both beds seemed like they were a decade old and all you could feel were the springs, no soft comfort. The bed nearest the window loss it's springiness as you just sank right into the middle. Whoa! But I guess if you like super sinking springy beds, this would be to your liking. The kitchenette; you'll have to ask for a hot plate if you want to cook in your room. At first we were looking everywhere for it, because they don't mention upon check-in that they need to actually give one to you upon request. Also, the microwave above the sink was not working at all. No power at all, and upon our attempts to reach Yessenia at the front desk for assistance, they never picked up. So, again, Sherlock Holmes to the case and with the use of the ottoman to climb upon and check above the cabinetry, we found the appliance was not plugged in. Sheesh, these guys are making me work for my stay. Sherlock solves another case at this location. The pool area could be smelled from the hallway downstairs; I understand the use of chlorine, but whew it was strong. The pool was fine, not heated but not freezing. The hot tub had so much bubbles I wasn't sure what was going on in there, I did not attempt to make use of it. The bbq grill outside for use was nice, however, they do not clean it, so clean it yourself before use. Also, the bbq cooking utensils are also used by other guests, so again, be mindful of what you're cooking with. Breakfast is from 6am-9am in the morning and it was okay. They offer three types of cereal, boiled eggs, there's a waffle maker, bagels, muffins, toast, oatmeal, usually a type of protein (bacon, chicken, or sausage), and biscuits. They have regular milk, almond, and oat milk, as well as juice, coffee, and tea. I recommend not going too late because they will not make anymore food by the 8:30 mark. The woman said, no that's it, just what's left - which was cold eggs, waffle, and muffins. Yikes! Oh, also this is not a baby friendly place. There are outlets all over the place that are not guarded. Just a helpful hint for parents out there. Unfortunately the check-out process with Yessenia was not great. She appeared to be annoyed with a customer before me and continued on with me. I advised her that the customer service she was providing was not how a person in her position should be acting. Maybe she was having a bad day, but if that's the case, take a break and switch out with someone else. So would I stay here again, definitely not. Paying nearly $500 for this type of service and room is not worth it.

It offers a TV (which I was too stupid/tired to figure out how to work), a desk to eat/work at, a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. All things considered, it offered a lot of features for a 2-star motel. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staying in Marina, I didn't feel the need to turn on the A/C and the room was comfortable to sleep in. No random noises or altercations waking me up, so a huge plus for my experience here for the night. Staff - The gentleman who checked me in was very kind and even offered to open a bottle for me when I bought a Jarritos for my dinner and didn't realize it needed a bottle opener. Check out was smooth and they offered me a goodie bag to-go which included a yogurt, banana, clementine, granola bar, and pastry. It was very generous and considering the event I went to didn't offer breakfast or lunch, it came in handy! All things considered, this is about as good as you're going to get for a 2-star motel and I would gladly come back and stay here again if I found myself back in the area for business.
