Great location in downtown Providence. Easy walking distance to everything. Were in town for NCAA tournament and was a very easy walk to the "AMP" Amica Mutual Pavillion. Rooms were clean and we had a very large suite. Highly recommend!

Great hotel close to brown, Rhode Island school of design, and Johnson wales. Easy to walk by the waterfront and grad food or drinks at local restaurant. Breakfast was standard but plentiful and coffee was strong and hot.

The front desk lady was very kind and friendly, despite it was super late at night already. The room was standard, bed was comfortable, and the bathroom at least the room I was in was spacious. I really like the building kept the historic part of the old building, like mail box and the mailing system. It was so interesting to see! I also enjoyed the breakfast, a lot of selections and in a warm and welcoming place, which is the lobby. All day coffee and tea in the lobby. It was a lovely stay.

We recently spent 3 nights at this centrally located hotel and were able to walk to restaurants, the canal, museums and various other attractions. The fact that the hotel is a repurposed bank is quite obvious on entering. Hotel personnel were uniformly pleasant and helpful. Valet parking is offered at $28 per night, but we opted for the adjacent Arcade Garage ($22). One caution is the garage is closed from 9PM on Friday until early Monday morning. Another option is the open lot situated immediately behind the hotel that currently costs $20. Our room was comfortable though hardly luxurious, but served our needs. T We opted to forego daily room service, but requested a change in towels for our final night. The included breakfast is typical of chain hotels though modified due to the pandemic. Overall we were happy with our experience and would not hesitate to return.

Color me very satisfied: good service, great location, a very reasonable price among other downtown hotels, in quite an attractive property both inside and out that is far above the usual standard of the Hampton brand. The hotel has been converted from an eleven-story 1920 bank building; this is most smartly reflected in the two-story atrium-style lobby. Our room was tastefully appointed and everything was fresh and crisp. I can't think of a single complaint about the age or appearance of the furnishings. A particularly nice touch were the wall hangings--framed local photographs rather than the usual bland "art." The hotel location is in the heart of downtown, for all your businessy needs, but also a short walk across the river and up the hill is the Brown University campus. The only major demerit is the $25 per night valet parking. There is no self-parking associated with the hotel, although apparently there is a private garage behind the hotel which may be $15 per day. Here are the other pros and cons: + Comfortable love seat and easy chair in addition to the standard desk/chair setup + Swivelling flat-screen TV + Real hangers + Bathroom night light + Quiet HVAC + Seven choices of shower stream configuration + 24-hour coffee/tea/water/cocoa station in the lobby + Hands down the BEST chain hotel complimentary breakfast anywhere: bagels, muffins, and breads, plus toaster; sausage patties, mini western omelettes, and home fries (Mon); scrambled eggs, biscuits, and sausage gravy (Tues); whole bananas, apples, and oranges; diced mixed fresh fruit, mainly melons, berries, and grapes; cold cereal and milk; hot oatmeal; yogurt; a waffle maker and batter; and orange and apple juices. And yes, that was everything that was offered, not what I ate. +/- Drinkable tap water, but does not come out cold +/- VERY comfortable bed, but disconcertingly pliant and voluminous pillow; I want something to lay my head ON, not IN - Styrofoam instead of real glasses, a dreadful faux pas when everything else was so classy - No bathroom exhaust fan - Comically thin toilet paper - No towel rack near the sink, only a back-of-the-door hook - 5 am Monday garbage truck noise

It clearly shows on the website what tiers get bottled water ...

What kind of coffee makers are in the room? I'm hoping they have Keurig coffee makers.

No keurig in rooms. They do have a pod type coffee maker that I have not tried. The lobby has fresh made coffee most of the day.

I must say we had a beautiful stay. I got married and this was my hotel of choice. I stayed two…read moreseparate nights once with my family and then once with my husband, back to back days. So this will help the review. The Thursday night we stayed was my mother and I, she got a junior suite. It had 2 king size beds, a beautiful living room area with a lot of seating and tv, a huge walk in closet and beautiful decor all around. This was a perfect set up for all the girls to get ready for the wedding the next day, it was spacious and made for beautiful pictures. Some areas do need a little cleaning up, and some decor needed a little tweaking but overall the room was magical. We stayed on the 10th floor and overlooked the city, it was a beautiful view. An issue that I ran into was the doors slam HARD. You'll get used to it but it sounds so loud you can hear everyone leaving their rooms if they don't slowly close the door themselves. Also the toilets when you sit they move, kind of feels like they're broken even though they aren't so be mindful of that. And then being that high up be mindful it takes about 5-10 minutes for the shower water to warm up. It does get extremely hot after that waiting period but if you didn't know you'd think there's no hot water. The check in process both times was pretty smooth. When my husband and I checked in for our stay, the lady who checked us in was pushy and kind of rude. I didn't like her very much, an older taller woman. All the younger people were sweet as pie and very helpful. We stayed In a one bed and this was excessively smaller to what I had the night before of course but we worked with it. I think for the price point for this room it didn't match. Yet again we needed the hotel for pictures and the ambience, and it did its job being able to take pictures in the lobby, the grand staircase the balcony area all of those were worth it. But I would never get that room again , it's not worth it. The decor is beautiful don't get me wrong but we had too much stuff from the wedding that room became extremely tight- fast. The elevators are very small, and creepy. But they did their job. The security personnel were great. They did their job, were great to talk to, and very kind. They even helped us navigate places- when we had questions. They became like our friends because we used them a lot since so many of us were in and out to prep for my wedding adventures. All and all I had a great time.

Long overdue review for my (2) night business stay at this hotel, let's go!…read more- I'm loyal to Hyatt, however- no options in D/T Providence...thus Hilton is my next choice - I've never stayed at a "Graduate" property, and yes they are different! - I like the idea of an older building/hotel that "fell out of favor" and gets renovated (it has character!) - Front desk/service was very good upon check in - Room was upgraded b/c of my status with Hilton (thus a bigger room/suite) - Although the decor of the room clashed AND no way would I ever decorate like that, it had a good vibe - Room was big, clean and comfortable - If/when I were to head to Providence again for business, yes I would stay here again

I know on other sites I was a little skeptical to stay here because of the reviews of it being worn and tattered but they've done a revamp of the whole place (and still are) and what they've done so far is grand. The hostesses at the front counter were so warm and welcoming. The front area is spacious and perfect for talking with friends who visit. Great location not too far walking distance from DT and the train and bus station. Highly recommend.

Look at all these one star reviews! Shameful for a Hilton. I booked rooms with breakfast included…read morein the price on Priceline, they cost more, and the hotel just would not provide what I paid for. So I had a half dozen kids doing a college tour and had to go off site somewhere else for breakfast when we were on a tight schedule AND I PREPAID FOR BREAKFAST!! I had proof of this and the very snotty front desk clerk with endless attitude said he couldn't see it on his end so he couldn't do anything. Well, contact a manager I said, and he refused. They said a manager would be in 10 am the next day, an hour after we would have left the hotel. People with problems in the morning - too bad, it seems, that is their approach. This was bad enough, but then it took many hours of my time explaining it to these people. Very little to no acceptance of their fault in this, nor agreement that my printed receipt specifying breakfast should have been accepted at the time, even though they admitted this has happened before. They said Priceline shouldn't offer this option, but a year later I checked and it was still an option! This is pretty strong proof in my mind they do not deal with their business, they see problems and ignore them instead of fixing them. So they are prepared to let you pay for breakfast on Priceline, and just not provide it. The manager was nice enough, but it was way too much effort to get my money back, taking many phone calls - in my view they should have been running to give it back given their huge failure to perform. It seemed like absent hours of time to try to force them to refund the difference, their plan is to just not provide and keep it. I had 50 rooms of college tour business this summer, and I didn't bother to even quote them, as you would expect, and went to an IHG which has been great with a well reviewed breakfast by my clients. Sorry, but read these reviews regional manager to see you need new leadership here. I am not the only one thinking this hotel is a disaster.

This hotel is lackluster at best and dated for the typical quality you'd expect from the Marriott brand, basically a Marriott disguised as a 3-star hotel. Other than the fancy lobby areas (which they upkeep to make you think it's high class) the room itself is musky, old and outdated. Vents were dusty, and I found a water bug in my room on arrival, but after a long day of flying and unpacking your bag, no one wants to move rooms. Parking is a steep charge $32 a night for not even covered parking which wraps around the building because several close spots are for preferred club members. Of course no complimentary breakfast is provided (expensive restaurant) but at least they had coffee in the morning. One nice thing was the shuttle service that will take you within a couple miles, and service/drinks at the bar was great. I would not say the location was amazing, as it is downtown but appears a bit away from a prime spot full of bars/restaurants.
