Bonvoy Elite at this hotel provides fans instead of air conditioning or waters!
    Jenn J.

This is not a typical Marriott experience! The temperature controls do not allow a room to be below 70 degrees in the entire hotel, per front desk they disabled the system hotel wide. The provided a floor fan for airflow. Sleeping was terrible like I am at camp in the summer, except I have paid for a luxury full service hotel. Then a housekeeping knock at 7:45AM the day of checkout when checkout is scheduled for noon. When I inquired why possibly would housekeeping wake me before my alarm I was told it's b/c I didn't place the do not disturb sign out. I stay at hotels and specifically, Marriott Hotels, weekly for work and this is not a standard practice. The gym equipment looked good in the picture but most of it is broken and non functional and lastly, they do not provide waters in the rooms. Please save yourself the hassle and choose another hotel!

My stay here was pleasant. I will admit it was pricey since I had the King Suite however it was the only available room in the area/near the Hartford airport. My flight was leaving at 5a the next morning so it's good to know the shuttle runs as early as 4a. Beware: they end around 11p, so there's no 24 hour airport shuttle service. I ended up taking an Uber since I wanted to leave before 4a. NOTE: Uber from here to Hartford Airport costs around $8-9. Not bad. The room, linen, etc was clean which is always a plus for me. No noise, even in the hallways. They have a huge lobby area where larger families can sit and commune. They have an amazing pool area as well as fitness center. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. They also offer complimentary bottles of water for guests which is a plus plus for me. The bar/restaurant attached to the hotel was perfect and my food was standard yet tasty. I had the chicken sandwich which was recommended by the lady at the first desk. It was a pretty big sandwich which filled me up quickly along with the fries which were perfectly cooked like I like them, and my Jack and Coke was perfect as well. My bartender Julie knows what's she's doing. I received top notch care/customer service from the bartenders as well as the chef who came out and asked if my food was good. I would stay here again in the drop of a dime. Great experience.

Good place to get a comfortable night's sleep before an early morning flight. Rooms are quiet with good soundproofing, and beds are nice Goldilocks beds (not too firm, not too soft). There's ample desk/work space for laptop computers. While the hotel's location is convenient to Bradley Airport, there are slim pickings for restaurants in the area other than fast food and the hotel's satisfying but overpriced restaurant. The gray walls in the rooms are a rather depressing choice of color - makes for somewhat of a cold and sterile atmosphere, almost like a hospital.

Yeah... When there's actually sanitizer in the machine. Unlike it was when I took the photo.

Bright, clean, and attractive property with friendly helpful and professional staff. Very much enjoyed my stay here. PROS: -Bright, airy lobby. Clean, refreshing scent in the lobby as I walked in. -There is art all over this hotel. Make sure you're not in too much of a rush that you will overlook it. -Microwave in the lobby, across from the pantry. -Tamiya, and the rest of the front desk staff, were absolutely phenomenal at making sure that I had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Tamiya especially went out of her way to make this weary business traveler feel welcome and right at home. -The Concierge Lounge has a small but delectable selection of snacks including zucchini squash and green peppers with a choice of three dressings, fresh fruit, yogurt, gummy bears, mixed nuts, snack mix, jelly beans, sour gummy worms, and sour patch kids. They also offer brownies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cake, German chocolate cake squares, and dark chocolate chip cookies with white chocolate chips inside. Absolute chocolate overload, and I love it! The dark chocolate cookies were some of best cookies I've ever had. One night they even had cannoli, and it was fantastic! For happy hour they offered a variety of things such as cheese tortellini, chicken and cavatappi, grilled chicken sliders, pasta salad, mini Jamaican beef patties, twice baked potatoes and lightly fried pita with guacamole. The happy hour dishes were hit or miss. half of my life, half of them I didn't particularly care for. -Breakfast is small; a step above continental. Scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, oatmeal, a small selection of breads including bagels, English muffins, croissants and muffins. There was no cheese for the eggs on one of the days (criminal!) and no non-pork breakfast meat options offered at all. -Spacious and attractive seating areas. -Room doors are light and do not slam by themselves (people slamming them in neighboring rooms... That's a different story.) -Shower pressure is very strong! If you don't get clean in these showers, you're just not getting clean. -The towels and washcloths are just the right balance between plush and firm. They got me wash and dried quickly, but not without feeling like I was using a cotton ball to do it. -Housekeeping services were excellent! Services were consistent, and my room was properly restocked every day with everything that I needed. CONS: -The hallways past the lobby and on my floor both smelled like seafood upon arrival. Whatever air freshener they used in the lobby, they definitely needed a hit of that upstairs. -One of the elevators broke down not long after I arrived, and remained broken throughout my stay. -There was a hand sanitizer machine in the lobby by the elevator. Unfortunately, it was empty. -There is no luggage rack in the room. However, that was remedied with a quick call to the front desk. -There's a mini fridge in the room, but no microwave. (Although there is one in the lobby) -There are several plugs in the desk area but they are spread out. There are two on either side of the lamp; the other two are directly below the TV. -Toilets are loud; it sounded like a rocket taking off when I flushed. -The bathroom door appears to be a sliding door but there's a note on the door saying not to push or pull it. No idea how to close it. -The vent and air filter in my room were filthy; Covered in dust. -The walls in this hotel are a bit thin, and there is a large gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. While I wasn't disturbed by noise from other guests, the maids were quite loud in both their conversations and their cleaning. -The iron does not have a cover over the water intake hole, so water splashed everywhere when I ironed my clothes. - There is no ice in the M Lounge. -I think that their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint by not making bottled water available in rooms is an exercise in futility... at least when it comes to Platinum members and above. While sitting in the Concierge Lounge, I watched at least a dozen people come in, take a few bottles of water, and leave. It's also worth noting that these bottles of water are stored directly underneath the taps that the hotel offers for both filtered still and sparkling water. I think that by eliminating bottled water completely, the effort may be more effective. One of the Marriott hotels in San Francisco offers large carafes for guests, and no bottles of water at all. Those carafes are hugely popular with guests of the lounge... present company included.

Decent price for a quality room. Rooms are big and clean, the guys at the desk were very helpful in recommending nearby restaurants, and the courtyard near the desk had a Starbucks, nice chairs to lounge in, and a big fountain. They do not have free wifi or continental breakfast, but that's pretty standard at Marriotts. The bed was big and really cushioned/comfortable, but there wasn't a small fridge in the room. The pool was pretty small and cold. It's indoors, so nice year round, but could have used a little heating, and the size was really noticeable because it got packed. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it for anyone in the area.

I want to give a special shoutout to Barbara who truly made me feel at home. She was warm, friendly, and went out of her way to connect with me including sharing that she has family in Southern California where I am from. Charles the shuttle driver was also incredibly sweet and kind and made transportation pleasant throughout my stay. There was only one area where improvement is needed. While most of the staff was friendly and attentive my experience with Pico the shuttle driver who worked until 11 PM was disappointing. I would not describe him as rude but he appeared uninterested in engaging with guests and lacked basic customer service manners. When greeted he did not respond. When asked simple questions such as how he was doing or about Connecticut he remained silent. His body language felt cold and unwelcoming which is not ideal for a role that involves interacting with tourists and hotel guests. Additionally, he expressed frustration in front of me to the concierge about having to drop off two groups at different locations even though the shuttle operates within a five mile radius. This gave the impression that he did not want to perform his job responsibilities. This was not an isolated incident as this behavior was consistent during all three days we encountered him. I believe this could be improved by having a conversation with him about the level of customer experience expected in his role and encouraging or recognizing efforts to provide basic hospitality

I stayed here for one night 7 or 8 years ago and remembered that it was quiet and convenient, so that made it easy to decide where I would stay again. Marc at the front desk checked me in, he was so nice and since I had already parked around back, he found me a room closest to the door so I could go right out to my car. My room was spotless, bed was comfy and the water was hot for my shower the following morning. I needed different pillows when I arrived and said it was no hurry since I was headed out shortly, but housekeeping brought them right away. I need to spend another night in the Hartford area in a couple of weeks, this one is not the most convenient to where I am headed, but I will probably stay again due to the great experience and free parking (some of the hotels in Manchester are charging for parking, and that is a big NO for me!).

Breakfast ends at 9 so I had to painfully start waking up around 7ish and finally made it up at 8. There were only 4 hot items, breads and chia pudding.
