Don't Stay Here! Mar 2023 lhad a 6 hr drive when I arrived. Front desk was VERY unfriendly. I'm a Diamond member with Hilton. I wasn't told if they offered a breakfast or what the hours were. I get up to my room on the 2nd floor and the door is open and a vacuum is in the middle of the room. I go downstairs and am given keys to a room on the ground floor. I have to go back up stairs to get all my luggage. I ask if there's bottled water in my room. She says no and hands me one bottle of water for 2 people? My room was across for the banquet room was was being used. There was an entrance door into the hotel next door to me. Coming and going because of the banquet there was loud with folks going in and out. Thank god my bed was comfortable! Worst Hampton I have ever stayed

Does this room seem cavernous to you?

It sounds like front desk assistance is hit or miss, but I got a hit when I walked in. The lady I spoke to helped me get my Digital Key working and gave me a mobility friendly 1st floor room. Parking is free as it often is in small town USA. No hassle or cards to leave on the windshield. It sounds like this place gets a lot of hate for pet fees, but I can clearly see on the entry in the Hilton app that they charge $75 per pet per night clear as day. I've found that Hilton is consistent, but not perfect and no, they don't always tell me when breakfast starts or where the elevator is. I just figure it out. One thing you can always count on is signage which posted all over all Hilton properties. Other stuff is buried in the amenities list, but most hotels usually charge for pets and traveling with them always requires a little planning or it gets expensive quickly. I am not handicapped but the accessibility room was all they had left. Those rooms are HUGE to accommodate wheelchair users. The shower is walk-in, which I love in general. Everything was fairly updated. The one thing that surprised me was motorized blinds and blackout shade. It's right under the thermostat on the wall facing the window with arrow buttons to raise or lower them. They do offer a free hot breakfast, but I was just there to nap and drive home ASAP so I rolled out of there at 4 AM. I'm sure it was the standard pre-packaged egg product, frozen potato product, sausage or biscuits & gravy so I felt completely vindicated to miss it. It was a pleasant stay and if I overnight for MFR again, I'll be back!

Breakfast one morning. The gravy was so bad, something was not right about it.

Very clean rooms and hotel. $75 pet fee seemed pretty extreme and the most I've ever paid!!

Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I especially loved the full-size refrigerator, which is something you don't often find in hotels. Everything in the room was well-maintained, and the property felt welcoming for families traveling together. The complimentary breakfast was appreciated, but the quality could be improved. The hot water was only lukewarm, the pancake batter didn't seem to be mixed properly, and some of the food tasted like it had been sitting out for a while and had gone cold. The oatmeal was actually quite good, but I wish there had been a few more fresh options and greater variety overall. Despite the breakfast shortcomings, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again on future road trips. It's a comfortable, family-friendly hotel with spacious accommodations and great amenities. Highly recommended for travelers passing through Medford with family and pets.

I normally stay at IHG Holiday Inn Express locations when I travel as I'm a platinum rewards member and get points for future stays and free room upgrades. This location was easy enough to find with GPS, but other wise just go south on Center Drive and when you see the Walmart on the right, turn left and go down the little street to the hotel. Plenty of parking available. We arrived a little too early and the rooms weren't ready yet, official check in is 3 pm, but we thought we might get in early, so we waited over at the Starbucks right near the hotel. I get a call the rooms are ready, so the front desk is on the ball! As the crew unloads all our stuff out of the big rental SUV, I do the check in and it all goes smooth. We get our keys and go to our rooms. My room was clean and nice and the first thing I check is the WiFi. It's working fine and I can get work done. The connection is fast enough to stream Netlix or whatever, but I gotta work so no time to stream stuff! The rest of the room is clean and the bathroom is fine and everything works and no stray hairs that weren't my color! The coffee maker worked fine as well. Breakfast is included n the mornings and it was hot and tasty as usual and the selection was just about the same as all the Holiday Inn Express locations. Hot choices as well as breads to toast and cereal if you want that. This is a good location of the Holiday Inn Expresses and I'd stay here again. None of my crew had any complaints either.

The lodge is very remote and we took Jerry's Rogue Jet Boats on the 104-mile package to get there. There are no roads to get to Paradise Lodge and it's either a jet boat, hike in, or helicopter. The jet boat definitely adds to the entire experience. On route we saw bald eagles, a seal sunning on a rock, osprey, etc. You get a lot of refreshing splashes on the way too. The ride cost $95/per person, but it was worth every penny (it's a long ride to Paradise Lodge!) The lodge was rustic, but very comfortable. Every cabin has its own bathroom with a hot shower. There is no air conditioning or fans, but somehow even though we were there during a 100 degree + heat wave the cabins stayed fairly cool during the day and definitely cooled down during the evening. Service is outstanding. Six people work there and attend to your every need. The food is awesome for the property being so remote. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included and they don't mess around. For example, one breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, French toast, biscuits and gravy, coffee and juice. You will never be hungry at the lodge. They also have wine and beer available. Speaking of service, it was so hot during our stay that the owner invited us to join him wearing life vests, hike a bit upstream,. and float down the Rogue River back to the lodge. It was a highlight of the the trip for our kids and one son took the trek with my husband and other guests four times! Wonderful memories. We will return! Jet Boat TIP: On our return the jet boat makes a 1 1/2 hour stop at Singing Springs Resort in Agness. We had a very mediocre buffet meal consisting of wilted vegetables, odd biscuits and fried chicken, etc. and it was roughly $60 for the four of us. Skip their lunch or very selectively order a few items off of the menu. The buffet was expensive and bad.
