I seldom write reviews, especially negative ones, but I feel Hilton management needs to hear about our experience. On September 6 at around 10:00 PM, my wife and I checked in at the Hilton in Medford. Unfortunately, the way we were treated by the front desk staff was disappointing and completely inconsistent with the level of hospitality I would expect from Hilton. When I asked which room I should check into, I did not receive a clear answer. My wife then tried to ask a simple question about whether complimentary water was available. Instead of answering courteously, the front desk staff responded, "I'm a human being, one at a time." We were simply guests asking normal check-in questions. We were not being disrespectful or unreasonable, and there was no reason for us to be spoken to that way. Hospitality begins at the front desk. Guests should be greeted warmly and treated with patience, professionalism, and respect--regardless of their color, appearance, or how they are dressed. No guest should be made to feel as though they have no right to ask a question. I hope management takes this seriously and provides appropriate customer-service training. Front desk employees are often the first impression guests have of a hotel, and this interaction left a very poor impression of Hilton. After this experience, I will be choosing Marriott hotels for my future stays, where my experiences with staff have been friendlier and more respectful. read more

Was in Gold Beach at the stunning Crook Point Venue for a four day wedding event and needed to stay a night near the airport before we departed the next day. I was way more impressed than I had expected which was simply put to just have a pleasant stay with no hassles or disappointments. There wasn't too much to choose from basically in this small area. From the easy app check in & out process, superb front desk customer service, huge room with huge bathroom and comfy bed with nice in-room amenities, fresh and tasty hot breakfast with great variety of food & drink choices and friendly and helpful staff and just an overall extremely pleasant experience. In fact we have always chosen Embassy Suites as our go-to Hilton when available and after this experience I will choose Hampton again! read more

I stayed a night here when passing through on a drive up to Washington and it was a convenient location near the 5 freeway. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. There's a lot of other businesses right nearby. My reason for giving only 4 stars is that their fitness center didn't open until 6am the Saturday morning I was finishing my stay. It was was not well cooled either. The hallway felt cooler than the fitness center. They also were not stocking coffee well at breakfast. They ran out during peak busy breakfast time. God awful stay away. The walls are so thin you are living with everyone at the same time. Wayyyyy overpriced for what you get. Good brand, terrible experience. People yelling and partying. Very friendly staff; nice stay. Our room and public areas were extremely clean. The room had everything we needed. Comfy beds The breakfast was probably one of the best we have ever had for a hotel breakfast. Large selection of everything. Good coffee too. Only negative at all was some shady characters around the parking lot. We just took our valuables inside, and lock the car. We also parked close to the front door of the motel. Next morning, everything was fine. We had had a good nights sleep, and our stomachs were full ready to travel again. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Thank you Yelp very much for the opportunity to express my great frustration concerning this property - a frustration I do not encounter too often within the Hilton family: a family that I spend a lot of time with: 12 consecutive years Diamond.....957 total nights. And in all that time I have never been more insulted or angered by what has occurred on February 19th. A simple one night stay for business. I have stayed at this hotel the past 15 years or so at least a couple times a quarter. I like it's proximity to the airport - I am no stranger to it trust me. I originally booked my usual two-night stay but then it was discovered my wife had cancer and her surgery was slated for Monday 2/17. I rearranged my trip a day later for just one night assuming she would be a bit better to be on her own by then. So I changed my reservation from the two nights to just the one night. And things were progressing well Tuesday following her surgery so I packed for my one night trip - did a precheck at the hotel - and went to bed ready to arise and hit the airport! However at midnight my wife woke me up and said she was having trouble breathing and was having chest pains. So we zipped off to the Emergency Room at the local hospital. We were there five hours as they did test after test on her. It was during these tests that I realized that there was no way I could leave in a few hours for my trip to Medford - I would be the biggest dead beat husband ever if I left now haha! So between tests - around 3:30 am - I started canceling the things I had scheduled for the next couple days. All were going well until I called the hotel..........Tim, who answered, said he could not cancel it. I told him my situation (all the above info) and he still pushed back. He said to call Marci the manager back at 10 am and maybe she could help. I actually ended up calling the Diamond Desk around 9:30 am because I was still frustrated and I assumed Marci would say she would have to talk to Hilton about it. I forget the individual I got on the Diamond Desk - SHE WAS MARVELOUS!!! I told her my dilemma and she understood immediately and had sympathy for my situation. She did explain that cancellations can be a bit tricky and it varied by property - but ultimately this location had full autonomy to make the cancelation or not. She said she would call and discuss my situation with them. I waited about five minutes. She came back and said that the property was not going to credit my money back to me. My reservation was made on a five-day cancelation notice and I was within that period where I could cancel.....so I lose. They are keeping my money for canceling. Do I need to go any further concerning my anger towards Marci and this property? The heartless and cold people who run it? Forget the whole cancer story.....how about taking care of a very key valuable loyal member of the Hilton family.....I'm in sales - that's total stupidity - you don't anger your top supporters - you aid them in every situation they bring you - you treat them like family so they don't leave. Employing people like Marci who do not value their customers in the end will cost you big time. Combine my Hilton loyalty......with the gravity of my wife's cancer situation: and you treat me like this?? Don't Stay Here! Mar 2023 lhad a 6 hr drive when I arrived. Front desk was VERY unfriendly. I'm a Diamond member with Hilton. I wasn't told if they offered a breakfast or what the hours were. I get up to my room on the 2nd floor and the door is open and a vacuum is in the middle of the room. I go downstairs and am given keys to a room on the ground floor. I have to go back up stairs to get all my luggage. I ask if there's bottled water in my room. She says no and hands me one bottle of water for 2 people? My room was across for the banquet room was was being used. There was an entrance door into the hotel next door to me. It sounds like front desk assistance is hit or miss, but I got a hit when I walked in. The lady I spoke to helped me get my Digital Key working and gave me a mobility friendly 1st floor room. Parking is free as it often is in small town USA. No hassle or cards to leave on the windshield. It sounds like this place gets a lot of hate for pet fees, but I can clearly see on the entry in the Hilton app that they charge $75 per pet per night clear as day. I've found that Hilton is consistent, but not perfect and no, they don't always tell me when breakfast starts or where the elevator is. I just figure it out. One thing you can always count on is signage which posted all over all Hilton properties. Other stuff is buried in the amenities list, but most hotels usually charge for pets and traveling with them always requires a little planning or it gets expensive quickly. I am not handicapped but the accessibility room was all they had left. Those rooms are HUGE to accommodate wheelchair users. The shower is walk-in, which I love in general. Everything was fairly updated. The one thing that surprised me was motorized blinds and blackout shade. It's right under the thermostat on the wall facing the window with arrow buttons to raise or lower them. They do offer a free hot breakfast, but I was just there to nap and drive home ASAP so I rolled out of there at 4 AM. I'm sure it was the standard pre-packaged egg product, frozen potato product, sausage or biscuits & gravy so I felt completely vindicated to miss it. The worse Hampton by Hilton I have stayed in. On arrival the front desk woman was unfriendly and complaining about the guest she just checked in. She got an attitude when I questioned the $75 for a pet since Hilton advertisement says $50. I was fine with it but just asked and she didnt like that. The breakfast was gross and the egg omelette was still frozen in the middle. No to go bags for people leaving earlier than breakfast or for those that dont have time to sit and eat. The elevator was always dirty. The rooms were smaller than pictured but they were clean so thats a big plus. Over all this was like a Best Western but more expensive. They actually serve the exact same food as Best Western. The smallest pool towels I have ever seen, smaller than the bathroom towels. I would definitely recommend looking for another hotel. Two nights and one pet cost me $520 for a stander two queen room. read more

On our road trip adventure I got a call confirming I had no pets- I said no I do not. The app digital key wouldn't load as it is supposed to before arrival so you can skip all the hoopla of checking in. Their system required a tap of my card, even though they already booked it through the app AND over the phone when they confirmed I had no pets. The hotel was clean on the inside, and even though I was short tempered with the front desk person (sorry, I was overwhelmed with my toddlers and I expected to already be checked in) She was very friendly and patient with me and my screaming toddler(s). The room was clean and put together as expected. There was a hair in one of our larger towels- but hey- it happens. I don't expect every inch of the towels to be inspected. Cleaning staff is already under paid and over worked. The biggest complaint I have is that there was a very dirty, wet hand towel inside the side table in my room. GROSS! I was really glad I found it and not my kiddos. There was a young family in the pool area, and that's always neat to see. Makes hotels feel homey. Outside there was some sort of construction in the parking lot. My hopes are they are adding more parking spots. Lots of sketchy activity out there. I AM worried about my vehicle being broken in to. Take that how you want. Would I recommend this place? Yeah, it's fine as far as hotels go. I'm thankful they are investing back into their hotels and doing great updates! read more

Got all checked in & was going to room, when she came running at me, yelling about my dogs, which I had stated earlier that I had a service dog & one other. She said I never told her, but since she was so rudely on the phone as she was checking me in never heard me!so at this point she's yelling& calling me a liar! That I would have to pay $75 for the dogs. Ok I said, fine she then proceeded to say she had to call her boss, which he said no! The manager here is very rude. She belongs in the army or something. You will NOT feel like a valued guest. Her name is Kelli La Verda. Aside from her, here is my review: The good: 1. They've made some upgrades but you can hear everything upstairs and on either side. Don't go here if you are expecting rest. 3. The plumbing is super loud. 4. When we were here, a nude woman was running and screaming in the hallways. Yes the police took her away, but I didn't feel safe here. 5. They are doing construction all day long. Just FYI. It's loud. 6. The pillows are all flat and the beds are not good. You'll feel every spring. 7. The toilets are super low to the ground. Service is the worst I've experienced in this hotel chain. Usually this chain is respectful and is extremely helpful. We got here and the front desk associate was rude and not helpful. We were told earlier on by the 1st deck associate that we could have an early check in to our hotel room . As a driver I drive all night and 90% of the time I need to be in bed by midnight. We always call and get early check in. For some reason this person doesn't not like us and has decided to push us out till 4pm even though they have rooms available. We were traveling back to California, and stopped here for the night. We had been in the Eugene/Springfield area, and the fires had cut our vacation short. Mykela helped us quickly and efficiently, and made it clear that she cared for us as guests. Asked if we wanted water, told us about breakfast. She smiled and was genuinely happy that we were there. Every time anyone flushed a toilet from any of the upper floors, the pipes rattled and banged, waking me up all all night long. 3. The walls are incredibly thin and we heard conversations and children crying from different rooms. 4. The mini-fridge rattled all night long. 5. The heater whistled every time it turned on to the point that we had to turn it off. 6. An attendant was NEVER at the front desk. There was a sheet of paper laying flat on the surface of the table instructing people to call for one. 7. I made it downstairs THREE minutes after breakfast boxes stopped being served as was refused one. JUST. PLAIN. AWFUL. Will never book with Hampton again. read more

After a long road trip we were able to find this pet friendly hotel semi last minute. We called to make the reservation, confirmed with them we had two dogs, and received a confirmation email with the price of our room. Upon arrival, the front desk person let us know there was an additional fee of $75/dog for the night essentially doubling the price of the room. We were also told we couldn't cancel the reservation as it was too late. Her, tough crap attitude was horrible. We would never recommend this hotel. We had 3 families each with inclosed trailers, and one car trailer with a $50,000 4 wheeler on the back and they refused to let us park in the back of the parking lot, they made us park in a Food for less parking lot that was 1/4 of a mile away, and had druggies and homeless right next to us, to say the least my husband get much sleep worrying about all our stuff, so if you have a rig or trailer don't stay here!!! read more

I was ready to not like my experience at this hotel as soon as I drove up to it. It sits very close to I-5 and the neighborhood is a little on the meh side, and the exterior of the building isn't as fresh as some of their other properties. But I was on the hook for the room either way, so I didn't have much choice but to press on. I soooo wanted to drag my luggage right back to my car when, once I passed through the outer sliding doors, the inner doors wouldn't open. A sign said to use the phone on the wall to be let in as a safety measure during the pandemic. I did NOT want to touch that receiver but there was no option, so again, I pressed forward. From there, things turned up quickly. Plenty of hand sanitizer was available to clean up from the phone, and the person behind the counter was not only professional and efficient, but she also sanitized the customer's side of the counter after each party left. With all but the lobby temporarily closed, I headed straight for my room and crossed my fingers. The door was sealed with a big sticker so the guest (me) would know that no one had entered since the room had been sanitized. Upon breaking the seal, I was hit with the distinctly unique scent of "Eau de Old Hotel." A little musty, like someone sat by the window and snuck a ciggy about two weeks ago. But other than that, I was mightily impressed! The king in my standard room was clean and comfortable, with a nice pillowtop...and NO bedbugs. (I'm religious about checking every hotel room I stay in.) The dark carpets would hide a lot of sins but it appeared clean and relatively new. The mini fridge doesn't have a freezer, but the ice machine was accessible so I used that to keep my ice cream cold until after dinner. The armchair and ottoman were clean and comfy, and the desk area acceptable. The large bathroom was spotless, with the exception of a long hair in the bathtub. That didn't really bug me though. This hotel is a good value. (NOTE: I wrote this review sometime in the last year, earlier on in the pandemic, but apparently never posted it.) read more

I stayed here before my early flight out of Rogue Valley. The check in was easy although they don't have the digital key system yet. This would have been the day I would appreciate the ability to go straight up to my room. The room was very comfortable. Some people are saying they are dated, but I didn't notice that as a bad thing. I kind of liked the dark vibe of the decorations. Maybe it was just the mood I was in! Either way it was a comfortable night sleep and very close to the airport so that was appreciated! read more

They lied to our face many times. Whenever we would ask to speak to a manager we were told "they just left" or "they didn't know when they would be in." Front desk was understaffed and unhelpful, either lists themselves or told to lie by management. Because we booked through the Hilton app, our 3 nights are non-refundable. Vacation is partially ruined. We will be informing Hilton to hopefully try to get some sort of refund. If you're a Hilton Honors member, please pay the extra for one of the other hotels in town. I would give zero stars if I could. We were driving home from relatives in snow and ice while my husband had a kidney stone and he got two pet friendly rooms at Hampton Inn. They called within 15 minutes to see how many pets we had. We replied honestly that we had 3, 2 in one room and 1 in the other. They said sorry they only allow one in a room so my husband said I guess we need to cancel then. They responded ok. We just found out they charged us for two rooms we didn't use and they told us we couldn't use!!! When we called to complain they said it's hotel policy; we can't cancel within 24 hours What?!? We tried to get rooms for like an hour later and only cancelled because they called and told us we had to!! If they said you can't cancel because of this policy, we would have used those rooms and maybe gotten a third room if we had to accommodate the pet policy. That is ridiculous!!! Not only were we honest about how many pets we had, but we were literally driving while trying to find a hotel. It is not reasonable to charge for rooms they wouldn't allow us to stay in when we booked then less than 15 minutes before they called US to deny us. I've never heard of worse customer service in my life. Give me a break!!!! And we used their website, not a third party website. Seeing other reviews I can see this hotel manager has serious problems and is ruining the hotel's reputation. They are pretty much pushing visitors away and throwing away repeat business. Don't respond with how this is hotel policy. We booked and you made us cancel within 15 minutes at we didn't prevent you from booking rooms that night. I made a reservation, found out the day of the reservation my husband had tested positive for covid, called to cancel and they said I was still going to be charged! I let them know that we would still be arriving then for my husband to spread covid thru their hotel, they said ok! I'm absolutely flabbergasted!! After driving for 7 hours in rain and snow (I'm from CA so that was challenging) I finally get to Hampton Inn with my dog. They are "pet friendly". We are stressed out and exhausted. I check in and they tell me that the pet fee is can see a DEPOSIT of $150 and when they see that there is no damage to the room refund $100. Nope! It is $150 for my dog to stay the night. I just paid $300 to stay at. Hampton Inn for one night. That is ridiculous!! Their sister property in Medford called Homewood Suites only charges $50 per pet. It would not have been early if they got my reservation right! I emailed the management and to this day I have never received a response. I booked the Hampton Inn in Medford, Oregon because bookings.com web site stated it was pet friendly. Their website only states that there might be a fee for having a pet. Upon arrival at the Hampton Inn in Medford, Oregon we were informed that the pet deposit is 150 dollars and also told us this deposit was non-refundable. So the pet fee was 150.00 dollars and the room fee for the night was slightly more than the dog deposit. So basically they charge you double the published room rate if you have a dog. We are upset with Bookings.com for not disclosing the exact amount of the pet fee. We are also upset with the hotel for not disclosing the pet fee costs almost the same amount as the room fee and is non-refundable. It is like a scam to double their revenue of unsuspecting consumers. read more
