Have you experienced love at first sight? The platter of meat made my heart skip a beat We got the Miyazaki and Washu combo course for the table and it was spectacular. We started off with a simple salt salad. Next, an assortment of kimchi was brought out. The washu beef sushi is where the meal truly started. You got to taste the quality and tenderness of the amazing meal to come. Then, the platter of meat arrived. Everyone ooo and ahh'd over the perfectly marbled cuts of meat. Favorites? The sirloin and rib cap (dubbed the butcher's favorite cut) Each bite literally melted in your mouth like butter. The server brought us a sweet flavored soy sauce and a mound of freshly grated wasabi. The meat is delicious, but the wasabi brought it to the next level. Is that even possible? Next comes more meat! Our server brought out a branded chateaubriand with a wine, soy and butter sauce heated directly on the grill. Never have I ever tasted something so magnificent in my entire life. It was luxurious, yet delicate at the same time. We ended our meat journey with sukiyaki. I turned my dipping sauce of soy and egg yolk into TKG (tamago kake gohan aka soy sauce, eggs and rice) We had a choice between matcha or mascarpone ice cream to end the meal. If you love matcha, it is high quality, premium matcha. I went home and slept for 2 days after this meal lol jk I wish I did. It was an amazing meal and perfect fusion of Japanese and Korean cuisine. The corn tea definitely helped with digestion. Definitely worth a visit! Thanks for reading my reviews! Let me know what I should try next!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 This restaurant is phenomenal. From the decor, the seating, the styles of the servers and the dishes everything was so classy. And this place has happy hour. We started our vacation and ended our vacation with dinner here. Best meal we had. Ordered $95/person the first time and $125/person the second time dining here. Highly recommend these because it offers more than ordering the dishes separately. It also happened to have all the popular dishes as well as the things we wanted to try. We were going to order it anyway and realized it was a little more generous if we ordered this meal set. And don't sleep on the ice cream this place might be known for Wagyu but that ice cream is decadent and impressive. We loved every single dish in both meal sets and there was so much to try so I don't think it'll be useful to list it all out. Treat yourself and try it. We HIGHLY recommend. Happy hour cocktails of the day were delicious and only $6. This place gets crowded for happy hour but it dies down for dinner when HH is over. There's HH for lunch and dinner and they close in between for break. High ball and cucumber cocktail: 5/5 Garlic rice: 5/5 must try Wagyu sushi/nigiri: 5/5 SOOOOO GOOD my fav We also mentioned this place to people we met at omakase elsewhere in Oahu and they also knew this place and loved it.

New hidden gem for Kamaʻāina. It located nearby International Market Place. They provide 4 hours validated parking at Hyatt Centric Hotel. The restaurant looks very modern and clean. Service is excellent. Server is very friendly and attentive. Me and my friend ordered one of the Kamaʻāina lunch specials. We ordered "Beef tongue, Kalbi & Tontoro set'. The set was in good portion, it came with fresh green salad and yuzu miso soup. All the meats were tender and flavorful. Love their dipping sauce. Our server gave us a cup of corn tea to end our meal. After the dinner, you won't have any barbecue smell on your clothes and hair. This is a bonus part. I will highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. Great service with high quality food.

My husband and I were in the hunt for a yakiniku spot and this restaurant perfect fit the bill. We found this restaurant using the Yelp app and was even more surprise to learn that it was only a block away from our hotel. Score! The restaurant has a similar set up to a KBBQ restaurant. We sat in a private booth with a view of the kitchen. Decor was classy and trendy. The bench seats were comfortable and perfect for group dinners. There are private dining spaces located in the rear of the restaurant. Their menu is extensive and offered miyazaki, washu, platters, original yakiniku, etc. Their happy hour is from 4pm - 6pm and our reservation was early enough to catch that menu. We ordered the assorted kimchi and seared washu beef from the happy hour menu and the aloha platter from their regular menu. We also brought a bottle of red wine to consume with dinner. Corkage fee was $35. The seared washu beef was simply delicious. It was lightly seared, served on top of freshly cut onions, drizzled with ponzu sauce, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Their assorted kimchi plate was the perfect combination of crunch, spice, and sourness. The aloha platter was the star of the table. The platter came with kalbi, skirt meat, round meat, bottom flap, and assorted vegetables. We were served a sweet and savory dipping sauce, which went well with the meats. Service was phenomenal and our server consistently checked in. We'll definitely be returning to this spot whenever we're in Honolulu.

We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Han No Daidokoro in Waikiki and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. It was easy to make a reservation online, and this place has cute little booths that make for an intimate dining experience. We started with a lychee martini, which was strong, sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. We ordered the Miyazaki & Washu combination course for their one-year anniversary opening in Waikiki, and every single beef option was outstanding. The quality of the meat really speaks for itself, especially when paired with their house shoyu and freshly imported wasabi from Japan. What really elevated the experience was the exceptional service. Our server took the time to walk us through each dish, explained exactly how long to cook the meats (about 45 seconds on each side), and even cooked the sukiyaki for us (a raw beef dish dipped into rich egg yolk) so it was prepared perfectly. He also noticed we had left some kalbi on the grill while the sukiyaki was being prepared and thoughtfully cooked and served it back to us so nothing went to waste. That level of attentiveness really made us feel taken care of. Standouts from the course included the roast washu bruschetta, which was smoky and melted in your mouth, and the seared washu beef with yuzu soy sauce. The octopus ceviche with miso vinegar was fresh and tender. We decided to order more meats such as the premium beef tongue which had a satisfying bouncy chew, and the premium kalbi was incredibly tender with that signature sweet-savory flavor. For dessert, we tried both the mascarpone cheesecake and matcha ice creams. Both flavors were rich and concentrated, though the mascarpone cheesecake stood out more for us. From the moment we arrived, the staff acknowledged we were celebrating a birthday and made us feel genuinely cared for the entire night. They even surprised us with a special birthday Japanese Basque cheesecake slice, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. An amazing dining experience all around, highly recommend for special occasions or anyone looking for top-tier yakiniku in Waikiki. We'll definitely be back!!!

I honestly don't even know where to start, because everything I write feels like an understatement for how much I enjoyed my time here. I came to celebrate my birthday, which happened to fall on the anniversary of their Waikiki location. We opted for the set menu. The service and atmosphere were top notch. Even though the restaurant was full, it never felt cramped or overcrowded. Our server was exceptional. He took his time explaining each cut of meat and recommended how long to cook each side. He even cooked the final dish for us, the sukiyaki, which was a great touch. He was incredibly informative and provided the best service I've had in Oahu. As for the drinks, I ordered the cocktail of the day and it was perfectly balanced. Nothing was overpowering, with a great combination of Prosecco, gin, and lemon. I ended up ordering three of them. Now, the food. Wow. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but you're in Waikiki, and it's worth spending for a truly memorable experience. I loved that many of the beef dishes came with different condiments and sauces, which really changed up the flavors and kept everything interesting. House salt salad and pickled kimchi A solid, refreshing salad meant to cut through the richness of the meat. The flavors were subtle and clean. I do wish the pickled kimchi had a bit more punch, as it felt slightly lacking in that pickled tang. Beef bruschetta Soft, buttery bread topped with roasted beef that melted like butter. The assortment of condiments paired beautifully and made this dish really stand out. Octopus ceviche This was easily one of, if not the, star of the night. A total flavor bomb with fresh octopus and an incredible dipping sauce. Absolutely unforgettable. Other beef appetizer Perfectly charred, tender, and delicate. Simple, but executed flawlessly. Each beef course in the set menu was perfectly cooked. Every cut was packed with flavor and seemed to melt more and more with each bite. My favorite was the final dish, the sukiyaki beef. The coating and flavor were incredible. We even ordered extra kalbi and beef tongue because they were our favorites. Both melted in our mouths, and the beef tongue had that soft chew you hope for. At the end of the night, they served complimentary barley tea, which really helped cut the richness of the meal. For dessert, we chose the mascarpone ice cream and green tea ice cream. Both were a great way to end the night. The mascarpone was my favorite since I'm not a big matcha fan, though the green tea ice cream tasted high quality and well balanced, not bitter or overly sweet. To top it all off, they surprised me with a complimentary slice of cheesecake for my birthday. I'm usually not a fan of Japanese cheesecake, but this one completely changed my mind. It was creamy and rich, almost like a New York style cheesecake, but somehow even better.

Came here with a party of 3 and had a solid meal. The meat was delicious - we went with the Washu Chef's cut and the quality was great. Everything was super tender, and my favorite cut was definitely the skirt steak. Eat it with the housemade soy sauce and fresh wasabi - it's SO good! The server also let us know the best order to eat the meat for the best experience which was nice. A huge plus is that they're able to adjust the sets for an odd number of people, so they accommodated our group of 3 easily. Service was great, and the vibe is dark and intimate, so it's probably ideal for smaller groups. It is on the pricier side; with the chef's cut and a drink, it came out to about $65 per person after tax.

Visited this location on 2 different occasions. Once during lunch and another during happy hour. Both of which had great service. The host stand is immediately to the left, with 4-tops/booths, to the right and more cabana-looking booths down the hallway, with the kitchen/dish out to the left of that. As for their lunch special, such a great deal in Waikiki! Available everyday from 12pm-3pm, to which each lunch set comes with rice, soup and salad. Honestly, the best seafood soft tofu stew I've had in a very long time. It wasn't burn my mouth spicy, nor was it too salty, and it didn't taste like watery Tabasco, if you know what I mean. I was so pleasantly surprised! As for their happy hour, that's available everyday from 4pm-6pm, with different izakaya shareable items. You can walk-in or make reservations via OpenTable online for any meal period. Because it's within walking distance to my workplace, I will definitely be back for more!

I started with HH drinks and sides and moved to dinner. The HH prices were reasonable and a good way to get a taste of variety: 1) stone garlic rice - 5/5. while a bit salty, was flavorful and went well as a side dish. Got the crusty bottom so was happy with that. 2) octopus carpaccio - 4/5. went well with my highball 3) bibimbap - 4/5. a lsmaller portion, but was tasty. For meat, we ordered the Wagyu Chef's Cut. Every piece was so rich and melt-in-your-mouth. I've had Wagyu before and never really understood its worth, but this was worth it. Would return.

Probably the best meal I had in Waikiki! Han is a Korean Japanese fusion (mostly Japanese imo) bbq, with a fantastic Wagyu tasting that I personally think is very reasonably priced. The Wagyu was juicy, tender, up to par with Wagyu bbqs I've had in the past including in Japan. The photos I believe speak for themselves. The service was fantastic. Most of the servers are young, friendly guys who enjoy good conversation. They will cook some of the meats for you when some technique or timing knowledge is required (or all meats if you prefer). The interior is subtle, quiet, and pleasant. Not too showy which I liked. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Waikiki!

Each cut of meat was amazing! Breathtaking! Our waitress/chef cooked our meats to perfection & she would even teach us how we should be cooking it for the next pieces! We definitely would love to come try this place again - everything was a hit that we tried

They have a pretty extensive happy hour menu every day from 4-6pm including american and japanese wagyu cuts, appetizers, and noodle and rice dishes. We decided to go the à la carte route and got the seared beef, garlic rice stone pot, japanese A5 wagyu ribroll, and american wagyu kalbi, outside skirt, flank, and beef tongue. We thought the american wagyu was just as good as the japanese wagyu-- just melts in your mouth. Their dipping sauce was a little too sweet for us but fresh wasabi was so good and paired well with all of the meats. Service was great, friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations as it was our first time. Occasionally they'll pass by and help out to grill the meat to perfection

Their parking lot also extends further so it becomes a pretty decent size and we had no trouble finding a spot. The banchans were good! One of the sides was poke, which we've never seen at a Korean restaurant before. It was unexpected, but so fresh and delicious. We ordered the cold noodles, spicy pork bulgogi, and seafood pancake. Everything was really good, and we'd honestly rank those dishes above most of the Korean restaurants we've been to. The seafood pancake was packed with seafood flavor, and they definitely didn't skimp on the squid. The spicy pork bulgogi came with a bowl of rice and had the right amount of spicy. The cold noodles totally hit the spot and had just the right amount of toppings in every bite. I was left very satisfied and we even had leftovers of the pork and pancake to take home. Service was friendly, and everything arrived in a timely manner. We'll definitely be back soon to try the AYCE and the soups!

I like that they open at 10am and that they serve delicious banchan. I came in one weekday and was seated at one of the regular tables. I guess they assumed I wasn't going to get the AYCE, even though it's pretty affordable for weekday lunch (like $28). Id like to come back to try the ayce sometime. I decided on the cold noodle and kalbi combo for $24. The cold noodles by themselves are only $14, so I thought there would be at least a couple pieces of kalbi in the combo. Nope. Apparently one piece of kalbi is $10. It was served hot, but it was served on a hot plate with onions and the plate itself wasn't hot. Why serve it on a hot plate? Very confusing. The cold noodles were refreshing, but you can get pretty good cold noodles at any Korean restaurant I think. I was a little disappointed in the quantity of food for the combo. Or I wish they had an actual lunch special, maybe I should have just got the ayce at this point right? But I wanted the cold noodles.... Oh well. It doesn't seem like they changed the interior all that much. It was pretty nice inside to begin with and there is a big parking lot. The workers come by when you ring the table side bell. Lol, otherwise they kind of just drop off the food and leave you alone. I was surprised there were like 3 other couples eating from the Ala carte menu at 10:30. I would possibly come back to try their other soups, but I wouldn't get suckered into getting the combos.
