Great spot for a quick bite They have Kimbap, meat plates, coffee, shave ice and a few other things We grabbed shave ice and it was really good, the syrups are strong flavored We got watermelon, lychee, and banana 10/10 This outdoor food truck area is very Korea vibes, super vibey at night

We were hungry after the beach and wanted a quick bite and this definitely checked the spot on accessibility, service and promptness. It's a Korean food truck that offers a lot of street food along with plate food options as well. We decided on some spam kimbap and it came out quickly. Kimbap tasted delicious and we can't wait to try other items as well. Plenty of outdoor seats available for customers.

Everything was so amazing! We got the bulgogi bowls and was perfect for breakfast. The staff was also super nice and welcoming. The offered seating there which is super awesome.

I passed this spot walking through Waikiki and decided to try it. We ordered their galbi plate and spam kimbap, and the food came out within minutes. I was impressed with the taste and portions of everything. Solid choice if you're in the area wanting some Korean street type food.

My fun foodie adventures usually start with plans to go somewhere specific... and then somehow I end up walking around and discovering a completely different place instead. This happened to me the last time I was in Waikiki, and it happened again here. Honestly, these little detours are where I find the real gems, and I'm looking forward to many more adventures like this. I tried a really delicious sweet coffee drink, and it was amazing. I also got to try a potato tornado. Back where I used to live in Texas, we called it Spiro Papa, and you'd usually find them at the flea market for about $3. Here in Hawaii though... well, Hawaii prices are real! This one was about $20, but at this point I've accepted it. For a fun experience like this, you can't beat it and you're also supporting local businesses and helping them thrive. I really liked the setup of the space too. The LED lights, the umbrellas, and the chairs that kind of look like trash bins gave the whole place a quirky shabby-chic vibe that somehow worked really well. My friend Andrea ordered tteokbokki, and Raul got the kalbi. We even brought our dog Scrappy with us, and he enjoyed the experience too. We bought him a bottle of water, and the staff kindly gave us a free bowl to pour it into for him. I did find it a little funny that the Christmas lights were still up, but honestly it added to the charm of the place. The ambience was great, and I loved the music that was playing while we hung out. Overall, I loved everything about the experience and I've gotten used to eating outside because the weather is just that perfect here.

Good portions and decent prices in the city. Our group tried the short ribs, garlic shrimp and chicken. The sides were good with plenty of rice. I did not care for the pasta salad though. I ended up trying the short ribs since it was popular but I normally do not go for that sort of item. Out of what we tried the garlic shrimp was probably my fav. Great location close to the beach and hotels. The staff were quick and friendly.

Found myself in a predicament on Sunday night since all the places I wanted to go had extremely long lines that I didn't want to deal with, so I decided to take a chance when I saw this random food truck and I'm glad I did. This place has huge portions and pretty high quality meats. I did the Kalbi & Chicken combo and it did the job well. All the plates come with rice, macaroni salad, kimchi, and a salad. I will say that while the loud EDM blasting from a speaker right next to the truck was fun, it definitely made it harder for people to order.

This place was so good we came back FOUR different times in the week we were there! Like another reviewer said, at first look you're kind of shocked at the prices but the portions are HUGE and a plate can be shared by two (although we did not hehe). Now, we didn't take pics all of the nights cause we were usually tired by the time we ate but we tried the [kabli - Korean bbq short rib, chicken plate, and shrimp plate, and ramen with chicken]. So yes, we kind of did our thing lol. I remembered to do a review on the last night when we both got the kbbq short rib. Sorry for the lack of photos! Now service: it's a quick order at the window vibe and on the weekends there is a longgg line so I don't expect it to be 10/10 friendly service each time but they're always friendly and the food comes out fairly quick (longest we waited was maybe 20 mins on a Saturday). But food comes out fresh each time! On the topic of food: the menu says each plate comes with rice, mac salad, mixed salad and kimchi. It is not always consistent. First time we came and got a rice plate it came with kimchi then it didn't, then it did, and then it didn't so the last time checked our bag and it was missing we asked if it came with it and the guy said no. Just inconsistent even though the menu says it does. So just check your bags to make sure you have everything. I say this because their kimchi is SO FREAKING GOOD! Some of the best I've ever had so it is worth checking your bag and asking for it. And for $21/plate they better have everything lol! There are a few tables for seating in that lil corner area. Turn around is quick so don't let it steer you away! This place is amazing! Worth a stop if you're in Waikiki!

We stayed at the pacific monarch and I tell you what! We had this almost every night after our adventures and drinking lol! Food is great, service is quick and ambiance is good. 20$ plates easily feeds 2 and I recommend the BBQ galbi /chicken. Garlic shrimp is also delicious

Walked past this food truck the first several days we were in Waikiki and finally decided to try It out this morning. The aroma of the bbq did not disappoint. Got the kalbi breakfast plate and chicken plate. Everything was soooo good. Don't sleep on this food truck.

Eaten tteokbokki and kalbi. So good!!! Very authentic

We came on New Year's Eve at 7pm and they were busy. I was happy with how quickly they worked the order line and prepared our big order. Not to mention they offer a military discount on main dishes. My husband found us two tables and saved them while half of us waited in line to order. Nice little seating area with four chairs per table. Well lit for the evenings. The order came out within 5-10 minutes. Such big portions that several of us said we could have shared. The bulgogi bowls and plate were great. So much food. We have leftovers. My husband got the tornado potato and loved it. It was plenty big to share as well. Several of the kids got black tiger lattes and my daughter-in-law for the melon spritzer. I got the k-savant coffee. They were good. Also got an order of pork fried dumplings that were great. For a quick stop and great food come on by.

I really enjoy the Korean comfort foods! 4 stars for the food, soups, and ban chan, 5 stars if the service was great. Typical service you will get at a Korean spot but no complaints. Just gotta be patient for ban chan refills or if you need anything else, I don't expect much just happy that I get to have my Korean food. During this recent Saturday visit, I decided to go here for our late lunch, after hiking Koko Head Trail & Makapuu. It was about 4:30 pm, we were the only ones there, but it filled up pretty quick an and they do have many take out and Uber/Door Dash orders. My favorites here are the combo set, choice of soondubu (combination, kim chee, spam, beef, sausage, clam,) & either meat jun, fried mandoo, bulgogi, yellow corvina, seafood jun, or BBQ chicken. The combo use to be $20.55 my first time but now went up to $23.55, hence the increase, it is still a great deal, this meal comes with rice and 5 different ban chan. This combo was more than enough for the both of us. My favorite is the spam soondubu ( yes. who picks Spam right?! hehe) & the seafood Jun. Although it so hard to decide since all the choices are good, I will have to visit again for the other selection. The other half and I cannot eat an entire combo set by ourselves. I love the ban chan, especially the daikon & kim chee, so fresh and crispy! When I first dined here, I was surprise to see they give you a fresh egg to crack in your soondubu soup, I am use to the egg already in there. We always have leftover soondu soup which I take home and add to my Korean ramen the next day, so good! Support this local mom & pop restaurant, So Gong Dong has been around for the longest time just only recently I've discovered it. I will be back for the next Korean soondubu, ban chan fix!

The premium AYCE option is around $60 per person, which would be reasonable if the quality matched the price. Unfortunately, it doesn't. We're from the Bay Area and have been to countless Korean BBQ restaurants with significantly better meat quality for the same price or less. To make matters worse, even at the highest-priced AYCE tier, fountain drinks aren't included. What really left a bad impression was the automatic 20% gratuity. Our group consisted of two separate parties of three people each. We were seated together at one large table with two grills, but we had separate bills, ordered different AYCE meats option, didn't share food, and made that CLEAR before ordering. The menu states that automatic gratuity applies to parties of five or more, yet we were still charged because we happened to sit together. Had we known this was their policy, we would have chosen another restaurant or sat at different areas of the restaurant. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because our servers were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions about the menu and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Unfortunately, when we brought the gratuity issue to the manager, he insisted we were one large party despite us being separate parties with separate orders and separate checks. At the end of the day, the only difference was that we happened to be sitting at the same table. Overall, the service from the staff was great, but the overpriced food, disappointing meat quality, and questionable gratuity policy make it hard for me to recommend this place.
