Great food at very reasonable prices. We were in Gainesville for a lax camp at UF and happened to try this place for dinner the first night based on Yelp reviews. The place was crowded and the food took a while, but it was worth it. We had sushi, Thai red curry, and plenty of apps- all excellent. We decided to go back for dinner again on night 2, service was much faster on Wednesday and food was once again awesome....sushi, hibachi, and Thai red curry on night 2, again very good. Our server (young female) was awesome on the second night, even gave the kids a few Japanese sodas to go because she saw they liked them so much. We will be back next time at UF. read more

Last Saturday 2/22/20 my boyfriend and I had date night. We wanted sushi so we came here. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation, we didn't, so she told us the wait would be 20-30 minutes. We decided to stay, we only waited about maybe 10 minutes to be seated. Pretty decent sized menu. My boyfriend order the kami kaze roll and the NY strip hibachi and I ordered the chicken hibachi, king crab roll, and a strawberry Japanese soda. The hibachi was really good, true American size portions. Even better as left overs. The hibachi dinner comes with clear soup and salad. I did not like the clear soup at all so I asked my waitress if I could have miso soup instead, she said that the hibachi dinner comes with the clear soup. I said okay. My face must have gave something away because she asked me if i didn't like it, I said no and she brought me a miso soup. Which, by the way, was very good. The salad was drench in ginger dressing, I would personally ask for the dressing on the side. My sushi roll was okay, wasn't rolled well because every time I picked it up with my chop sticks it would fall apart. The soda was fun to open, very very sugary. Silly I know, but to me it was awfully sweet. I will probably only come back for the hibachi, not for the sushi. read more

This was amazing. We'd gone on a Whole Foods run since we have nothing worthwhile in Ocala , and afterwards, we were hungry for Sushi. This was incredible! I just wish we had this here in Ocala a/k/a the land of awful restaurants. We'll start making this trip a monthly 'thing' for us so we can stock up on healthy organic foods at Whole Foods, then enjoy an amazing lunch at Hana afterwards. This spot is like my favorite sushi place but today as I went in we requested an open table that we could clearly see was empty and they denied us it by Who seemed to be the manager (the woman who wears clear frame glasses and Nike slides) screamed at the waitress from across the restaurant "THERES NO TABLES IN THE BACK" making us feel embarrassed and completely unwelcome. The poor waitress shouldn't have to undergo that type of poor treatment, the food is always amazing but god the service could improve. Hopefully the manager sees this and takes note. read more

I just saw that this place opened up in Celebration point and I'm glad to have it! It's one of the first really interesting things that come in a while and not just another chain restaurant moving from Butler Plaza. My fiancé was out doing errands and got so excited to see it, he dropped what he was doing, called home to tell us to get ready when within half an hour, we were sitting down having some lunch. First of all, the interior decor is amazing! Definitely date night vibes and we will be back. I was pretty excited to see a bar here near our house that wasn't Court or TGIF. There's a big chance I'll come by just to sit up there when I have some downtime and try all their drinks. I started off with drink that I forget the name of but it was the last on the cocktails list and came in 16 or 32 oz portions. It was really good! As someone who likes being able to taste my liquor, it was nice that it wasn't smothered by mixers and liqueurs. The cup was IG worthy too since inside the large dish was an attached shot glass filled with 151 proof rum that was on fire! We then got and order of dumplings and spring rolls which were not bad not bad, my only wish was that I wanted the pork dumplings steamed but it does say on there clearly that they are pan fried. I'm not sure the reasoning for why they can't be steamed but if that's ever changed I would be super happy! I switched over to the shrimp dumplings in order to have a steamed option. I didn't get the spring rolls but I tried them. While generally that's not my cup of tea, these were really good and had a perfect crunch and fillings. For our lunch I went with the lunch deal of two sushi rolls and chose the Spicy Crunchy Krab Roll which was so crunchy! Loved that but there was definitely no spicy to it. I'm not sure what the other roll I got was-- it was at the suggestion of the waitress. I believe tuna something and it was fine. Nothing I haven't had from Publix sushi. I asked for a side of the spring roll sauce to go with that roll and it helped a lot. A few suggestions since this place is pretty new and finding its groove: consider buying enough drink menus to keep at the table as I had to ask for mine back and felt weird doing it again when she kept taking it. You definitely want your guests to be ordering more! :) Also, add a bit more of a spicy touch to your spicy items. The entire time I was eating it I couldn't figure out which one was supposed to be spicy and it was only in looking back and realizing the crunchy one was supposed to be hot that I figured it out. I'm a stereotypical white girl so if I can handle it, I'm pretty sure everyone else can too. All in all, we plan on being back and SOON! read more

Food was great and the atmosphere was good and you could tell was new construction. But the service was just absolutely dreadful. From the moment we were seated to the moment we left it was terrible. The host when taking us to our table practically ran to the the table with menus, slapped them down and then walked away before we had even seen the table. I pointed and asked "is this our table?" And she said yes and ran back. I come from the service industry and nobody is ever that busy. Then we had a rude server young guy. Would not speak up. I had my elderly aunt with me and she has poor hearing and I would ask him to speak up for her and he'd get frustrated and barely raise his volume. He never checked on us again and got our order wrong and forgot many things. This place would be great if it wasn't for the terrible service. read more

Best Sushi we have had in Gainesville. We focused on trying Nigiri and Sashimi options which were decent. The yellowtail jalapeño sashimi, crab nigiri and Japanese snapper nigiri were the best options/ freshest. They have a large raw Maki menu which maybe their specialty. Hana is a cute restaurant and it's quite spacious. The location is convenient and nice. The service was quick and the staff were attentive/ friendly. My rating is a solid 3 star! read more

As someone who has a to-die-for-sushi spot in Gainesville already, Hana blew me away. I highly, and I mean HIGHLY, recommend the Spicy Girl Roll. The raw fish is so fresh, it melts in your mouth. Love this place, great location in celebration pointe. The servers were friendly and the food is pretty good, what you would expect from a decent sushi place. I got a spicy tuna roll and cucumber rolls. The rolls themselves were good, but I felt the rolls could be bigger. I ordered two rolls and didn't feel I ate enough. On the flip side, the hibachi is HUGE, and absolutely delicious. Great quality. Prices are very fair for what you get. Would recommend getting Miso soup as an appetizer. The food was nice. People in the front desk were nice. But the one who served us was too rude. She was doubtful about us all the way. We were sited at the corner of the restaurant. After we asked for drink, we waited for a long time without any service. We tried to give them some signals, or eye contacts, but no one replied. So my sister waved her hands to let them know that we were ready to order. She came and said "sorry, we don't wave hands here. " Seriously? Are these the sentence a server should say to the customer? This made me feel insulted. We waved hands because we waited for too long. You should apologize for that rather than teaching us how to be a customer. read more

Got a to-go order of Two sushi dinners and a couple of rolls. 1) Trio Sushi comes with miso soup, salad, three beautiful pieces each of tuna, yellowtail and salmon and also a roll (choice of tuna, yellowtail and salmon), the fish was very fresh and literally melts in your mouth. 2) Maki combo B is a bargain at $14.50 with a very tasty tuna roll, and okay salmon avocado roll and a yellowtail roll. 3) Philly roll was pretty good with a nice balance of all the flavors and rice 4) Rainbow roll was okay, nice size pieces of fish on top of a California roll. read more

I visited this last Sunday after on a date at Dave & Buster's with my girlfriend, Hana was right across the street so we took a walk over there to get some sushi to tie us over until we got home. To start this review, I would just like to say the interior design of this place is gorgeous. Very fancy that you would expect the place to be super expensive but I would argue it's pretty inexpensive. We were greeted quickly, sat down, drinks ordered, food ordered in a such a short timespan. The servers were very attentive, every worker there was. I ordered a King Crab & Avocado roll and that was it, it was good. I wouldn't order it again because of the price, it was more of a treat for myself and just to experience the flavor of king crab because I never had it before. It was good sushi. There was nothing exciting about it but there was absolutely nothing bad about it either. My girlfriend ordered a cucumber/avocado roll; basic roll.. the reason I give this review a 5-star is merely the interior design, attentive staff, and the best roll vegetarian roll I've had! Now I'm not a fan of raw fish so perhaps my flavor of sushi is differing than a lot of people who check out sushi reviews- but for any vegetarians looking for an option that isn't just your regular vegetables you can get at any sushi place; I would highly recommend the sweet potato roll. This roll was so good I honestly want to suggest my local sushi place to make something similar! It was sweet potato, crunch on the top (or maybe the sweet potato was crunchy? whatever it was; it was amazing and mouthwatering), and eel sauce which I absolutely love on sushi more than anything. I know it sounds super basic but the temperature being hot because of the sweet potato, the crunch, and the eel sauce just made this a really great roll that I wish I was able to get more often. Pretty small review, for a summary though you should take from the review that the sushi has nothing bad about it for non-raw fish eaters and vegetarians, it's inexpensive, and it's pretty with good staff. read more

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner on a Sunday. The food and service was great. I had the Steak and Scallops. My GF had the Steak and Lobster. Everything came out rather quickly and delicious. Only thing I did not enjoy as much was the noodle consistency, taste was still good. That's completely subjective though. Will definitely be back. read more
