I rarely go to this location, the one in Isla Vista is more convenient for me. However, the service here is better. The inside is pretty awkward, with the cashier on one side of the wall and the pickup area on another side. There's a few chairs and tables, along with counter seating. There's also a side bar where you can get extra sauce and vegetables. If you want, you can try the black milk tea for free near the register. I came at 1, and there was a decent amount of people. It's not as crowded as the IV location, it was more relaxed. Service was fine, they didn't look too welcoming though. The regular chicken teriyaki bowl is huge. I was going to order a mini but I decided otherwise. There's a lot of chicken and vegetables, it was a good ratio compared to the rice. I had plenty leftover to bring home and eat the next day. The milk tea was good, reasonably priced and very sweet. You definitely get your money's worth for a quick delicious meal. Ok after 2 years I am updating my review- the customer service could improve but this review is for the great comfort food. The best boba drinks I've had in Santa Barbara and very generous drink size. I had their chicken teriyaki bowl and it was very delicious! I've ordered from here two nights in a row! Absolutely loved it! The family ordered the chicken bowl, with spicy mayo. There's something about the mayo that completes the dish. I found the chicken tacos interesting. They are on the sweet side. I think if I had extra spicy mayo, that would have balanced the sweet. The portions are huge. This place is popular for its beef bowl. However, it's not the best quality food in town. The beef bowl is delicious and is very similar to yoshinoya. The preparation is somewhat bad, they keep their vegetables in a big plastic bag, and the chicken is prepared and washed by the sink. My ultimate favorite boba drink is the taro smoothie so I was disappointed that they didn't have that selection or Thai iced tea. On my first and last visit to this location, who I expect was an electrician was literally running around yelling that the power was cutting out, which was apparent due to the lack of AC or lights. The same person who took my order then neglected to call my number or name when putting my order out on the table, and when I asked her where the slush boba was (it wasn't with the food) she just said "Wait a second," and walked away. After tolerating about 60 more seconds of the crackhead-like electrician screaming about the power, I walked out the door without my drink. To top it off, the food was sub-par (I've had HK in Isla Vista which is fine) and my bowl was barely filled up.
