Spending 3 hours in a nail salon is not typically my ideal day. I went for a pedicure and fill. I wanted to do an ombré design on my nails. I think there is only one man that works there and I seen his ombré work and it looked nice so I made an appointment with him specifically to do the ombré. They said they could accommodate me. I went in and got my pedicure and I'm giving a 2 star because the massage chairs are great! However after my pedi I was the only customer at the time and I had to wait 15 minutes for my fill to start. Everyone was in the back room. The lady who did my pedi filed off my gel and said to wait because she didn't know how to do the fill. Which I respect that instead of just winging it and it looking junk! Finally some one took me to start to work on my fill. Unfortunately the whole time she talked on the phone and talked to her coworkers. They said that she was good at ombré so she would do it instead of the man I requested. Unfortunately that was not the case. I asked for ombré and got some feathered look. My nails are uneven and not painted and filed correctly. I paid $60 for my fill and design and what I walked away with was complete disappointment. I just wish they said they didn't have someone who can ombré instead of completely mess up what I asked for. read more

We'll...Hana nails is a decent place to go for the feet, but nails...i don't know. I got acrylic full set with a basic purple-grey color. And one of the employees cut me with the rotating file machine. It was sore but she gave me a band-aid after she was done with my nails. Other than the injury, the experience was fine. Appreciate the fact that they had availability on Sunday to do full set mani and gel pedicure. Gel pedicure went fine. Cindy took her time cleaning, cutting, and polishing my nails. For the full set pedicure, requested powder and was told acrylic is best. For the full set nails, Kim did my nails. I was excited as I read a lot of good reviews on her. Maybe, just got her on a bad day. When doing the acrylic, she only put 1 layer. She then filed my nails, did not cut the cuticles, and went on putting 2 layers of nail polish. Once she said it was complete, I requested that she paint a little closer to the nail and cuticles because there was a large gap in between. It was clearly visible and looked like my nails had already grown out. When requesting this, she did say a comment about it being stuck to my nails and it wouldn't look good. Here are pictures 2 days after getting my nails done. Shortly after on day 3, I had 3 nails break off. Not happy with the quality of service and nails. read more

I was trying to find a place to get my nails done, I don't have a regular place so I've been searching for a nice one and saw that this place had good reviews. I came in and it wasn't a long wait at all, they asked what I wanted and I showed them a picture for reference. The lady that did my nails was nice but very persistent on buffing the top layer of my nails even when I kept telling her no because my nails are weak. I told her over and over it's okay to file them but just don't buff or shave off any layers. She kept arguing with me that it's for the nail polish to stay better and I told her it's okay, I don't need it to stay long. She then proceeds to take out one of those nail drills that are used to take off gel nail polish and acrylics and tries to use it on my regular nails. I try to tell her "I'm okay, you don't need to use those I just need the nail polish". After she takes out this bar to buff my nails with and buffs one of my nails, I pull alway and tell her please don't do that. I don't need you to buff the layers of my nails, they're weak, please just do the nail design. After this she proceeds to take the nail file out and I finally think it's over, she starts to file my nails and then starts buffing the top layer of my nails again with the nail file. I have to pull my hand away again and tell her it's only for tomorrow (even though it's not) and she starts speaking to her coworkers in another language that I don't understand. I apologize if I'm not doing it the way they're used to, but I've said countless times that I don't want my nails buffed because they're already weak and she keeps trying to shame me or do it even though I said no to it already. Her technique and nail art was alright, there were some things off, like the French tip goes too high up the sides of my finger and the heart on my left hand is off center. Last thing I really didn't like about this place was I just said a regular manicure with a simple design.. it wasn't until the end of our session I noticed the nail polish she was using was gel instead of regular nail polish. Another irritating aspect because I wanted regular nail polish since it's easier to take off and healthier for my nails. Even though she did a decent job with the design, I don't think I would come back. read more

Decided to try them out since my go-to salon was busy but I wouldn't recommend them. Walked in on a Saturday around 1:30pm, it wasn't too busy. Got a Hana pedicure with gel removal. Total came out to $41 which I guess isn't bad but the overall experience wasn't enjoyable. The male manicurist I had seemed upset after realizing I didn't want gel polish and felt I wasn't worth his time as more customers began flooding the salon as it felt very rushed thereafter. He put the disposable slippers on and sent me on my way. On a side note, the manicurist was coughing the entire time I was in the chair and was wearing his mask below his nose. Wish my experience was better as I live right across the street from the salon but it just was not it. read more

Went here the other day and made a appointment via yelp and it was so easy they emailed me back right away took me and my daughter, right when I walked in through the door they actually knew who I was and they had me and my daughter already set to go, they were so nice and even drew little flowers on my daughters toes without us asking. This used to be lovely nails but now have been taken over by a new company and it's so clean inside and they practice Covid rules. read more

This place is within walking distance from my house. I normally go to a place in salt lake, but on this particular day, I didnt feel like driving far because I had other things to do. Anyhow, it was just "ok" for me. The massage was more like someone just rubbing lotion on you, no pressure applied at all. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I'd recommend if you live in Ewa and just need a quick pedicure before you go out or something. But if you get pedicures and look forward to the massage part of it... you might want to try a different place. End result was ok, he did a good job and it was 50 something dollars, 60 something with tip. read more

Service was good, employees very nice and I was able to walk in and get a mani/ pedi appointment. The issue came with over filing the nails as well as longevity. Not even 24 hours after getting my nails and toes done, my toe nail polish chipped. After 2 days, my fingernail itself broke as it was filed too thin and my toe nail chipped as well due to the same issue of over filing. I have gotten gel polish many times in the past and gel polish has always lasted over a month on my toes and 2 weeks in my finger nails. I'm assuming the issue came from rushing through the appointment to get me out and another client in my chair just as quick. read more

Very clean with really nice staff. I was quickly seated for my appointment and got the Marvelous Pedi. I had debated about getting a 10 minute massage. instead I swapped out for the Marvelous which included a hit rock massage, and extra 5 minute massage and Paraffin Wax treatment. My tech instructed me to let her know if the pressure was too much or I was uncomfortable in any way. Next time I'm doing gel polish. My feet are back to normal! read more

Definitely found a hidden gem under pressure! I usually do builder gel nails, but my usual place has gotten increasingly flaky! Anyways, called Hana Nails made an appointment same day. Unfortunately when I got there, found out they don't do builder gels, I was beyond discouraged, and honestly most of it was because I was having a terrible day on top of it! Worth noting I cannot go more than a day with a broken nail! BUT they had a solution, resin! I've never done it but for work and my current mood that day I said let's do it! I LOVE HOW THEY TURNED OUT!! I like very natural nails that are tough and this is it!! I will only being doing resin at Hana Nails from now on! I also got a pedicure and it was great! I was nervous to go to a nail salon since the last time I got my nails done at a completely different place in Honolulu it was a terrible experience and they ruined my natural nails and complained about having to do dip and then complained about their life the whole time (which isn't a huge problem, I don't mind listening but at some point it becomes not enjoyable). I had the complete opposite experience when I went to this nail salon in Ewa. Hana Nails & Spa is located right next to my house so I decided to try it out since they have the dip powder (SNS) and I am so happy about the decision. I even worked up the courage to ask for a little design. My nail tech was Lilly and she was very sweet and did a wonderful job. I felt very taken care of. I say this about every nail place, but if you see something is happening that you don't like make sure you speak up and ask for something different because people are human and should not be expected to read someone's mind about what they want and they also might not understand what you want. That's not how I felt at this nail salon at all, but after reading some negative reviews I can see that this might have been what happened to other people who came here. All the other people around me getting their nails done were very happy with their outcome as well. Well, I went to Hana nails to do my birthday nails, it was the first time I had gone into a salon to do my nails. I trusted since I went there to do my eyebrows this past august. It's been 3 days, the day after I got my nails done, I noticed that one of my nail tips was too small on my left ring finger. The sides of my gel polish were filed off, And the gel polish was warped. The way the design came out was my favorite part. It's day 3 and the gel polish is starting to peel off. I do not think it was worth $68 in the end. read more

So unfortunate. My first two experiences here were really great. I had Han for one of them and LG for another. I was feeling like I needed a pick me up and asked my husband to book an appointment for me to get a gel mani and pedi while I was busy. He managed to get me a spot but told me that the two ladies were not available and that I would have someone named Leslie. From the start she didn't even ask how I wanted to do my nails she just started trimming my cuticles without even prepping them (softening it/ push them back). She dipped them in water briefly just to wet them but went in right away so to no surprise she cut my thumb while trimming my cuticles which should've been the red flag to just stop and leave. It wasn't even a oops sorry type of cut it was literally her just not giving a shit while she was doing it. I was so confused cause she started giving me a massage which I've never had in the beginning of a nail appointment only after. She starts filing my nails and again she doesn't ask how I want the shape to be so before she filed them down to nothing I stopped her and asked her to do a rounded/ almond. She asked what color and I said I'd like to do the black cat eye nail polish but since they didn't have it in black I was like no worries that's fine I'll go with something you do have. I saw a red on the wall so I said do you have that she says no and points at an orange that they have. I say no thanks and then I ask for the binder of colors they do have. There were two purples and asked if I could see each one because I wanted the one that would be darkest. She paints them on and cures it under the light. I chose one of the colors she then paints all my nails but still leaves the "other purple" on that one nail. Instead of removing that shade she figures she can just paint over it and I ask her to please stop and remove the color so that one of my fingers is not a different shade than the rest. I keep asking her to wait cause I was confused on what she was doing. Her coworkers keep coming by asking her something about my nails and I'm like can you just explain what you're doing? But she just ignores me. She gets upset with me tells me it's ok to have the other color and I nicely disagree and insist she change the color to match the rest so she electric files off the color on my NATURAL NAIL instead of soaking it off (she literally only had two thin coats of color and went in hard with the file I thought I'd end up with a hole in my nail) leaving it uneven with powder residue on my hand and nails which she continues to paint over not even bother to brush it off. Her co worker tells me why I didn't put black underneath to make it stand out and I'm like I thought that's what she was going to do? Leslie continues to ignore me and I ask her if I can see the sample again because it's not what I thought it would be but then her coworkers start crowding around her and they're all talking in Vietnamese and at this point she's grabbing me really hard pointing at me not listening to me when I asked if she could just clarify what she's doing since it's not what I expected and she just ignores me and throws my hands in the light machine. She then grabs my hands starts squeezing/crushing them in her hands (no this is not a massage it was done with ill intent) at this point I started to tear up from her being so unnecessarily mean and her coworkers not saying anything but seeing what's happening about this WHOLE SITUATION I told her if she doesn't want to do it then she can stop then she gets more upset and says what you want then and starts squeezing/crushing my hands again I told her I'm done and I'll just leave. All I came in for was a black gel cat eye nail polish on my own natural nails! It should've been easy, pain free and fast to do. I've had this done here TWICE at this very place!! But this day I left in pain, tearing, and so unsatisfied. I paid $35 for gel polish and $15 for the ridiculous "cat eye" effect that she did a shitty job at. I do not recommend going here please save yourself and others by avoiding this place. If the owner wants to reach out to me and talk about it I'd be more than happy. Looks like they have cameras in there so I'd love to see the play back on it. I never experienced something like this in my life. read more

I scheduled an appointment online and the salon only had one other person when I got there. JOHNNY IS AMAZING! Super fun, easy to talk to, and you can tell he loves what he does! He also has fantastic interactions with the customer, waiting customers, and his coworkers. I showed him a picture of what I was looking to get and even though it wasn't exactly what I wanted, he made it even better!! I also don't know what discounts they have going on right now but I did get 14% off my whole total. I spent less than $60 for this full acrylic set. I think I found my new favorite salon. I'll definitely be back next time to see Johnny again! read more
