Both were very good. Also got a spicy tuna hand roll...good too. No IPA beers only Japanese...lol go figure. Had a kirin there always good. Service is good here and we like coming to both locations. Last time we come.... 13$ roll and the avocado is 1/3 rotten.... 13$ for a single piece of shrimp, "fake crab meat" (it's literally the same as our cali roll) and avocado. LAST TIME we come here. My husband and I just had lunch today Nov. 29 and my husband ordered Bento box with beef teriyaki and assorted tempura. I ordered the Bento Box with salmon and assorted tempura. The beef was so hard that you couldn't even bite on them. The salmon was fried and not fresh at all. No flavor We mentioned it to one of the staff and he said that we are not the only one who complained about the beef and salmon . The owner didn't even come to apologize and fix the problem. Told the lady I paid online and she said ok. Then she literally chased me down in the parking lot to tell me her computer says I didn't pay and I needed to go pay. I've been to this location a few times in the past. Service has always been okay, not the best but also not the worse. Today was a nice day weather wise and it was Mother's Day. So I asked if my wife, daughter and I could be seated on the patio. No one was seated on the patio besides us at this time. Once we were seated and ordered, my wife noticed that the blinds were opened on the inside directly behind us. My thought was that was nice... I figured they wanted to know if we needed anything and could keep an eye on our beverages etc.... Well that changed drastically once the server came out took a chair and blocked the emergency exit.... At that point it dawned on me what was going on. I asked for the check immediately and paid. At that point I told them they can remove the chair now that I've paid. I have no intention nor have I ever dined and not paid. She complied and removed the chair. In 2023, this is unacceptable and sad. We continued to eat our meal. Another family (husband, wife and two children) came shortly afterwards. The only difference between my family and the other family was an additional child and the color of our skin. They received a totally different service... NO chair to block the emergency exit. To the owner: diversity, equity and inclusion training should be a HIGH priority. All of your customers should receive the same treatment and level of service. This dual veteran family will ABSOLUTELY not give our business to this establishment again. read more

I gotta say for the first time I'm pretty disappointed. If you read my other reviews I try and find the good in everything and only sprinkle in the negative if there is any. Unfortunately, I probably will not be ordering from here anymore. I'll start with positive: steamed veggies are truly steamed. No salt added, no butter, oil or anything. That is appreciated. Tempura veggies were crispy and soft on the inside making it easy to bite through without pulling the whole veggie through the fried part. Sadly, that's it for the positive. Here is why I don't think I'll be back. If you look through pictures left by others, the sushi looks wonderful. Seems presentation matters and so does portion. What I received is opposite. I did order through DoorDash so I get that to go orders will suffer in presentation especially since I did not order sushi. In the pictures you will see I paid 9.95 for less than a cup up steamed veggies, 3.50 for just below a cup of miso soup that did not have any seaweed pieces, and 9.95 for 6 pieces of tempura. We are sitting at 23.40. Once you add in all the fees from DoorDash it's 32ish. The extra fees are not in the store's control so let's focus on the 23.40 plus tax. For what I received, I should have been paying closer to 15 bucks OR received double the amount of food. When I got my food ready to eat I was able to fit all my food including soup container and dipping sauce container in one to go box without any overflow issues. I truly hope this is not a normal thing for them and I am definitely will to update my review if the issue is corrected but as it lies I am sad. Hopefully, you all have a better experience! P.S. Me and my husband go here every week and always have awesome service from the servers to the chefs they have good attitude. They have special most of the time so check that out. I've been a loyal customer for year until I decide to use the male restroom. Honestly it is extremely dirty, dried urine everywhere, smelly, simply nasty. How a such nice restaurant with expensive dishes have such restroom? If the restroom is on these conditions I am concerned about the kitchen. To make things worse when I was going to the restroom an Asian man with a black hat was in front of me. He used the restroom super quickly.
