I am so happy I discovered this nail salon! Lee the owner is amazing and she deserves all the success in the world. She is extremely hardworking and works 7 days a week yet still has a great attitude and smile on her face. She had to stay an hour extra later than closing time for me and had zero complaints. She was actually grateful that I came in to do both a pedi and new set. I get the most scared when it comes to the drilling tools as I have gotten cut so many times with other nail artists. Lee is SO careful and I've never met someone so careful in my life and I've been doing acrylics for 10+ years just to give you an idea of how many nail salons I've gone through. I feel safe with her and that means a lot. Her shapes are super nice and sharp just like how I like it. She fulfills all of my requests such as thinner nails. My nails haven't lifted and lasts up to a month. Her prices are very fair. A new ombre coffin medium length set was $75. The ladies that does the pedicures are also very sweet and detailed. Came here recently to try a new spot and I loved my nails. The lady was kind and my nails have lasted 3 weeks with no chips, cracks, or broken nails. I liked that she took her time to perfect my nails but I also didn't have to sit there for 2 hours, she was quick and efficient :) I will be back! read more

I'm so happy I found Lee at Hand Candy Nail Spa. This place is extremely clean and in the best location. I've been to a few nail spots in Willow Glen and this is by far the best. I've had gel manicures and gel pedicures done here and I've always left super happy. I also want to note that my gel manicure actually comes with a manicure. I've had gel manicure services done elsewhere and they usually don't cut my cuticles and this place does a really great job and making sure your natural nails are healthy and your cuticles are healthy. My nails have also lasted the longest when getting them done by Lee. I'm a hairstylist and disinfection and sanitation are super important to me, and this place meets all of my standards. Basic gel manicure and basic gel pedicure are $85. read more

My new go to place, so happy my cousin told me about hand candy nails!! As soon as I arrived I was offered a complimentary drink, I chose tea and it was perfect for my relaxing Saturday morning. The place is small with limited parking right out front but it's very nice super clean and warm inviting. The ambiance is pretty and with the window front makes the temperature just right inside. I was kindly greeted and stated my service which was an overlay. My nails were very short and uneven, the nail tech did a really good job! She was nice, clean tools, good advice and gentle. I would definitely recommend this place I paid $70 for an overlay with French, again my nails were challenging so I didn't mind paying. Oh lastly, the nail tech was very professional and held a very professional conversation not like most nail techs who ask all about your personal life. read more

I went to get a mani pedi today (8/18/22) and this is my second time coming here. Each time I have walked away very satisfied with the quality and care put into my nails. They make sure you're comfortable and also have such good attention to detail when painting nails. The finished product looked amazing both times and I'm very happy with their services. Nice clean place. Very nice ladies! Lady who did my nails did such precise work. She wasn't rough like the ladies in the past from Other Shops that have done my nails. It was gentle, Clean, beautiful, and smooth nails. No leftover debris under the nails. Just clean and smooth. She tried and did her best to my request. As for my husband he choose the $36 pedicure that left him feeling relaxed and clean. Overall we definitely recommend this place. I moved to the area a few months ago and I'm soo glad I found this salon. Lee is highly skilled, I've had 3 appts. with her and I'm always happy -I get a powder fill and pedicure every 3-4 weeks, plus brow waxing service. She's very friendly, takes really good care of her clients -her salon is always very clean, organized and the location is perfect! Parkin get a little snug but there's plenty of street parking nearby. I know Lee and her other nail technician get very busy on Fridays and weekends, so I try to go on off days like Tuesday and Wednesday. I experienced an okay service, nails were not 100% percent to my liking ..they were coated with a powder , They were way to thick they looked fat , I've been to many nails salons so, I know how I like my nails to look, thin and not thick.. They looked to cakey. I asked for Acrylic nails, Coffin style semi medium length.. & she charged 65$ like what!!! one freaking color style ! Very overpriced for a simple nail color . Lee is amazing!!!! These are just a few of the sets she has done for me!! The last set was for my 21st Birthday!she is so kind the fist time I came to her was because I had white nails and it was 7pm I just dyed my hair at home and well my nails were no longer white I called so many salons to see who was still open Lee was so kind and took me in even though she was closed she fixed my nails and made them look amazing!!! So happy this place has popped up in my neighborhood! Yes there are a lot of nail salons in Willow Glen but this place is owned by a very sweet couple who are very passionate about customer service. Le gives a wonderful pedicure with an amazing massage! She learned my name right away and even remembered me (with a mask on) when I popped by a few weeks later to make another appointment. The place is new and spotless and there is plenty of nearby parking (unlike most of the other places on Lincoln. Highly recommend!! read more

I went to Hand Candy based on Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed! In fact, I was super impressed with Lee. I came in wanting a dip but because I don't like e-files on my nails, she suggested gel. She meticulously trimmed my cuticles and we went with gel and beautifully painted snowflakes on my ring fingers. Love it! I will be coming back! Thanks, Lee! =) read more

This salon is brand new and opened on July 1st, 2021. It's clean, has awesome massage chairs and a great color selection. I mention the date it opened because the owner doesn't have a full staff yet but she said she is currently trying to hire. The owner was not in this day as I normally pay with her, there's was a new lady and both the lady that charged me and another lady were confused on what to charge me. Overall I was charged 100 dollars for gel pedicure and remove my nail polish and cut cuticle when other times I've got more than this. I asked the lady why so much she explained the service and at this point I was already upset that I just paid and left. I was overcharged and the amounts do not match to what I normally pay for more than what I got this day.

During my appointment, I was cut and injured while getting my nails done, and my finger became swollen afterward. Me and my friend were both hurt during the service, yet instead of slowing down and properly addressing what happened, the service felt rushed and careless. What was especially disappointing was the lack of professionalism and transparency throughout the appointment. I feel that we were treated poorly despite being injured during the service. I take situations like this seriously, especially when a customer is injured during a cosmetic service. Because of my experience, I will be contacting the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology to report what happened and have the matter properly reviewed. I have never had an experience like this at a nail salon, and unfortunately, I will not be returning. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and makes sure future customers are treated with much more care, professionalism, and transparency. Vibes was not good.

I came in for a basic pedicure ($33), and the service was rushed from start to finish--even though the salon wasn't busy. The technician skipped basic steps, like filing one of my feet, which left my nails uneven. I had to ask for additional trimming, and she seemed annoyed by it. I was also pushed to upgrade to a $38 For a 6 min foot massage. 3 min on each foot. Really! I declined, and after that the service felt even more rushed and careless. This isn't about extras I just expect the basics to be done properly. If a technician doesn't want to perform a service, I'd rather be told that upfront than receive a rushed, incomplete job. Very disappointing, especially since I know they can do better. I'll give it one more try, but if this is the level of service going forward, I won't be back. Just because I'm a man & do not spend hundreds of dollars on my nails does it mean the service should be lacking. Also, the language barrier hurts since they don't speak English. I mentioned we could skip them if they were short-staffed, and her response came across as, "Do you want them or not?" because they would need to call additional employees in. If appointments are scheduled in advance, it seems reasonable to expect the salon to be prepared. This was our first visit and, unfortunately, it will be our last based on the experience alone. The woman who did my nails was very kind and did a good job -- she is the main reason I gave more than one star. Another disappointment was that my husband's manicure didn't even begin until both of my services were completely finished, despite us booking appointments together. Lastly, the salon was very warm with no air conditioning running. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be during a hot summer day.

The team went above and beyond with attentive service, flawless nail care, and an incredibly relaxing massage that included head, shoulders, arms, and legs. It honestly felt like a full spa experience. After moving to this area, I can confidently say this is one of the best salons I've ever been to. Vy was exceptional from the very beginning. She helped pick a color that perfectly matched my skin tone, and the entire appointment felt relaxing and personalized. She definitely gained a regular customer in me. I also want to give a special shoutout to Brandon, Moon, and of course Vy. These three have consistently been exceptional every single time I've visited. My pedicure was done by Helen and she was very thorough. I had the Deluxe Spa Pedicure and enjoyed the sugar scrub, sea mask, and hot stone massage. It was so relaxing, and I made full use of the massage feature on the chair. My toenails looked great when Helen was done. Last time I was here, about nine months ago, I thought the nail technicians seemed unhappy and the place was gloomy. I didn't get that vibe at all this time. It was pleasant spending an hour there getting a treat for my feet.

I absolutely love this nail spa! The owner Lee is such a nice & welcoming lady. All of her staff are very professional and caring. I came in for a pedicure & manicure, Jenny was very gentle with my sensitive feet and took her time to get my feet looking good. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area or looking for a new nail spa to visit regularly. The prices are great as well! I'm over all very pleased I decided to come here this morning. Cindy had helped me. I had asked her to spend a little extra time in specific areas. She did a really good job and the quality of nail polish painting she did was excellent. She made sure to clean up around the edges that sometimes can be weird with gel polish. Overall the vibe was chill. I never walk-in to salons/restaurants and only make appointments/reservations because my time is precious and I hate waiting around. It's disrespectful to your customer's time to not at least give them a heads up. I was waiting 40-45 minutes past my appointment time today and left in the middle of what I was doing to get here on time for you. In the same way you would not take me 45 min late, it's unacceptable to do so with me. Please give me a call or text next time as I'd like to continue being a regular here; that's all I ask. Thanks.

The place is nice and clean the owner had to come in and actually file my nails, I found out a bit odd. she did not fill my nails all the way, there are gaps at the cuticles.. she died my fingers they're all pink. Therefore I gain nothing by writing a negative or positive review. The only thing gained by my reviews, is to assist people where to spend their hard earned $$$ Saving people from bad service and to make a sound decision, on the places they wish to frequent. During my appointment, I was cut and injured while getting my nails done, and my finger became swollen afterward. Me and my friend were both hurt during the service, yet instead of slowing down and properly addressing what happened, the service felt rushed and careless. What was especially disappointing was the lack of professionalism and transparency throughout the appointment. I feel that we were treated poorly despite being injured during the service. I take situations like this seriously, especially when a customer is injured during a cosmetic service. Because of my experience, I will be contacting the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology to report what happened and have the matter properly reviewed. I have never had an experience like this at a nail salon, and unfortunately, I will not be returning. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and makes sure future customers are treated with much more care, professionalism, and transparency. Vibes was not good.

Unfortunately, my husband and I weren't super impressed by some of the services we received. He got a pedicure, I got a classic manicure, and we each got a facial. The facial was the most relaxing service and overall we enjoyed it, so we would give that a 4/5. Minus 1 point due to each of us having our table moved during our service, not the most relaxing table because we were on top of paper like at a doctor's office so we kept hearing paper crunching, and (while very brief) the lady answered her phone during my facial which paused the relaxing music. My husband's pedicure was sadly the worst. I didn't know until after we left and he confided in me. He's only had a couple pedicures so far and is still getting used to how they feel, and while he should have spoken up about the service being uncomfortable or painful, a nail tech should be observant about if they're causing pain or accidentally cutting too deep with the cuticle clippers. Come to find out, many of his toes are red, irritated, and some were spotted with blood (not actively bleeding a lot, but what you expect when you get nicked). The buffing of his heels and overall feet were also rough, fast, and while not painful was still very uncomfortable. Those tiny open wounds were evident when his feet were sprayed with alcohol and they stung badly. He felt like his service was rushed, like his nail tech was rushing to finish the job and move on. Also, the hot stones weren't actually hot and at most just warm. He would give this service 1/5. Lastly, my classic manicure with a simple design. I would give it a 2/5. My nail tech did a wonderful job removing my previous gel and protecting my natural nails. She shaped them nicely, but my cuticles were not consistently cleaned well as a couple fingers you can see they're jagged. While she didn't nick me or cause pain, some cuticles look horrible; also surprising since she was rough with my husband's toenails, but super gentle with my hands. I was satisfied with my manicure at first because I got the design I wanted and my nail tech worked with me very well to complete it. While I'm still happy with the result, I'm not thrilled by them. I noticed in the sunlight, when I was taking photos of my nails, that they're blotchy, lacking full opaqueness and coverage in every nail that only had one coat of color. I was confused when I saw the nail tech only apply one coat of color (while two accent nails got two coats) since every service I've ever had always did at least two for full color and coverage, but I trust the nail tech to do ensure proper coverage as they know the polish they work with best. Unfortunately, the result shows that every nail expect for 2 that did get a second coat needed a second coat. By the time I realized this, we already left, they were closing, and we didn't have time to go back to get them corrected. I'm sad to also say that I also felt rushed in my service and didn't realize until later when I looked at their service menu again that I didn't even get the full perks of the classic manicure. No lemon scrub. No 5 minute hand massage (I got a quick lotion rub on each hand for maybe 30 seconds each). No hot towel wrap (at most, maybe a hot towel to wipe my hands, but not wrapped). So I essentially paid full price for a quarter of the service I was supposed to get. Unfortunately, what we paid was way too much for the quality of overall services, the lack of marketed components, and the end results. I hope they read this lengthy review and do better in these areas as I only would provide an average to negative review in hopes they improve. Part of me wishes I took the time to remember the package details, knew about my husband's terrible pedicure, and notice the details of my nails to ask for lower cost because our money was sadly not well spent here.
