My co-worker used to rave about this place and that's when I asked her about her nail spot as my tech was away on vacation. Her nails were always on point so I decided to give this spot a try. With that said, these folks cannot handle real nails with gel. I had the most aggressive nail tech who started off by telling me I had nice natural nails but they were weak; and wouldn't be able to give me exactly what I wanted. What!!? Mind you, she used an aggressive filing tool to remove all my previous gel vs soaking them off. If anything, she is the reason my nails have weakened as she was cheating the method of removal. After I told her I solely wanted Gel X and not Builder Gel (which is costly and can get excessively thick) as she recommended, she told me told me I had weak nails and kept folding my nails to show me they'd break. Her original smile went dull and she spoke her language the entire time while repeating herself about how weak and bad my nails were. Interesting... and rude. She made the entire experience unbearable and made it seem like it was all my fault, constantly reminding me my nails will break and were weak. When I returned to work, I found out my co-worker stopped going to Pinko as her mom had a horrible experience as well after being a customer for years. Highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

‼‼DO NOT GO HERE ‼‼ Wouldn't recommend to anyone. You'd be better off anywhere else, your toes will come in worse than when you came in, however overgrown. She left MULTIPLE scrapes on my toes, ant and all cuts were super uneven. This was the WORST experience I've ever had in a nail salon. There was ZERO force applied to the massage. Never have I hated myself for wasting 35$. Manicurist was distracted and didn't look at my toes. She spent 15 minutes max on ALL removing the polish, buffing, and an additional sugar scrub/massage. Lady did not give a s*. It was also overcrowded. Environment was "meh". Only redeeming quality was that the guy in the front sat me down fast... if anything. read more

Before coming to see Daisy, I had such bad experiences with builder gel. My nails would chip quickly, look bulky, and previous nail techs over-filed my nails causing damage. My sister has been coming to Pjnko for years and recommended I see Daisy. Since coming to Daisy, I haven't had any of those issues. She is so detail-oriented and truly cares about maintaining the integrity and health of my nails. She's also incredibly talented with nail art, every inspo picture I've brought her has turned out even better than I imagined. My best friend's bridal party here before her wedding and we all left thrilled! Each of us got our own spin on a white and gold theme French tips, gold foil, tiny 3D flowers, and delicate star accents and together they looked amazing for photos. The attention to detail was impressive, and the staff handled our whole group smoothly without rushing anyone. Everyone was relaxed and having fun celebrating the bride. **DON'T COME HERE.** There are plenty of nail shops that deserve your money and will actually stand behind their work. I originally asked for a very simple design: clear nails, a little gold detailing/gems, and a French tip on two nails per hand. Nothing elaborate or over-the-top. I was quoted $115, which was already ridiculous for what I was asking for. Then, after she had already started, I realized the direction it was going in wasn't going to work, so I decided to simplify it. I just needed something cute and basic to get me through this weekend before my actual event next weekend. Instead, I ended up with acrylic nails that look like granny press-ons.. No color, nothing! The powder was nude, but that's about it! I was told the total would be $70, then told my nails were "long" and there was another $5 charge for the shape. My nails are clearly NOT long. They eventually took the $5 off, so I paid $65 for a set I didn't even want. The worst part? Now I have to find another salon willing to remove and redo someone else's work, which means more time, more money, and potentially more damage to my nails. And with a concert coming up, I don't have the option of just letting these grow out. The biggest red flag for me was having to explain and educate the nail tech about what I wanted instead of feeling confident that she understood her own craft. I need my nail lady to come back in town I don't mind paying for quality, but I do expect quality.If you want nails done well, take your money somewhere else. There are too many talented nail techs out there to settle for this. read more

1/2 I recently posted a review based on an experience that left me feeling disappointed and, at the time, somewhat devalued. After having the opportunity to speak with the owner and have my concerns genuinely heard and addressed, I felt it was only right to remove that review and share an updated one. I have been patronizing this neighborhood nail salon for over 30 years, through changes in ownership and throughout the years. There is a reason I continue to come back. The salon is clean, inviting, professional, and filled with wonderful people. The owner was extremely kind and gracious in addressing my concerns. I also understand that the circumstances surrounding my previous experience were not necessarily her fault. What matters to me is how a business responds when something doesn't go quite right--and they made it right. My pedicure today was amazing, and my go-to girl is wonderful! Mina.... As a longtime member of this community and a small-business owner myself, I understand the importance of supporting our neighborhood businesses. I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially when someone is willing to listen, communicate, and correct the situation. UPDATE -- RESPONSE TO OWNER: I'm updating my review after reading the owner's response because, unfortunately, the response further demonstrates the lack of accountability that was part of my original complaint. The statement, "Since you understand Vietnamese, you would know what their conversation was about," comes across as incredibly dismissive and condescending. Yes, I understand Vietnamese -- I AM Vietnamese. I grew up with the language through family members who were born and raised in Vietnam. This is not simply a language I happen to understand. I understood what was being said, the context in which it was being said, and the unnecessary remarks that continued after the issue with the color had already been resolved. And once again, MY COMPLAINT WAS NEVER SIMPLY ABOUT THE COLOR. I made that abundantly clear in my original review. The color was merely what initiated the interaction. My complaint was about the lack of professionalism and respect shown toward me as a paying customer. In fact, your own response states, "once you selected another color, we agree the conversation should not have continued." Exactly. That is the point. Once I selected another color, the issue was resolved. There was absolutely no reason for the continued commentary about me or the situation while I was sitting directly in front of your employees. So reducing my experience to the technicians simply "discussing the confusion regarding your previous color selection" completely minimizes and frankly avoids the actual issue raised in my review. If the conversation were truly nothing more than necessary communication about my color selection, why did it continue after I had already selected another color? And why did the atmosphere suddenly change once I made it known that I understood what was being said? Again, the issue was never the language being spoken. I am Vietnamese myself. The issue was the assumption that I could be discussed in front of my face because I presumably wouldn't understand. Your response also completely overlooks the rest of the experience I described: the rough and rushed service afterward, being left sitting during my appointment, the defensiveness when I addressed the situation, and the condescending remark that "maybe this isn't the place for you" after I said I would not return. None of those things have anything to do with a nail color. I also find it contradictory to say your staff "never intended to say anything disrespectful or negative," while simultaneously acknowledging that the conversation should not have continued. If you recognize that it was inappropriate for the conversation to continue, then please recognize what my complaint has been about from the beginning instead of reducing it to a misunderstanding over a color. I appreciate the portion of the response that apologizes for making me uncomfortable. However, an apology followed by minimizing the behavior and reframing my complaint is not genuine accountability. After approximately two years as a customer, I did not expect special treatment. I expected what ANY PAYING CUSTOMER should be able to expect: professionalism, respect, and the ability to receive a service without being unnecessarily discussed by employees sitting around them. read more

Great experience, got my mom and I in quickly and next to each other for our pedicures. I waited to do my review until the first chip in my nail polish so I could give an accurate timeframe of how long it lasts. I got them done on Sunday January 11th and the first chip was Tuesday February 3rd. That's some good quality nail polish! I am on my feet excessively both shoeless and with socks & shoes on, so I need a high quality and long lasting pedicure. This was worth every penny and I didn't even get gel! 10/10 recommend read more

I've been going to Pinko Nails for a while now, and I always book with Nikita because she is amazing! She consistently gets the shape exactly right and somehow always knows what I'm looking for, even when I have a complicated design in mind. She pays so much attention to detail and creates the most beautiful nails every time. I also love the salon itself. Yanking my hand around & at that point I was very bothered. Had a HORRIBLE experience. We made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. Once we arrived we were told we had to wait over 45mins. Service was poor, they refused to clean under the nails and said it was an extra service. Left gel and paint on the sides of my fingernails, and rushed us out of the chair. We were also told we had to come back another day to get our pedicures done even though we had booked a mani/pedi appointment. Manager refused to accommodate us and told me to wash off any excess polish I may have on my fingers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

Overall I was charged 100 dollars for gel pedicure and remove my nail polish and cut cuticle when other times I've got more than this. I asked the lady why so much she explained the service and at this point I was already upset that I just paid and left. I was overcharged and the amounts do not match to what I normally pay for more than what I got this day.

This isn't about extras I just expect the basics to be done properly. If a technician doesn't want to perform a service, I'd rather be told that upfront than receive a rushed, incomplete job. Very disappointing, especially since I know they can do better. I'll give it one more try, but if this is the level of service going forward, I won't be back. Just because I'm a man & do not spend hundreds of dollars on my nails does it mean the service should be lacking. Also, the language barrier hurts since they don't speak English. I have been their customer for a good year now. They are very attentive to their clients' needs. My favorite is Nikita. She's very artistic and very detailed. She asks what I like but also suggests what will look nice on my nails. She's very fair too. She won't suggest just because it will mean more to pay, in fact she won't suggest a new method (like the magnet style) just because it's the new thing. One time I had to return after a week because my nails got messed up, they did not even charge me because they think it's product fail. Today I had my nail color/design change and I feel like a billionaire! Which by the way still looks great even after 3 weeks, I just like new color & design. Nikita took total artistic control and she delivers! See the photos. No filter needed too! They are definitely aesthetically pleasing! I made an appointment the first time on aMonday morning (it was pretty quite bust steady incoming customers) and it was such a great experience i decided I would just keep coming back!! I recently had my nails done by Nikita, and she did phenomenal. She used gel tips instead of going the acrylic route that I've had by other technicians here and omg i LOVE them!! She noticed the that what i wanted (a different color on each nail) would take some time so she suggested this would be easier on her and faster for me and i really appreciate the thought. It did go faster but we had more time choosing the colors but she was so helpful with that as well!! Trust these ladies to KNOW their own product! Tips for others: Make an appointment especially if you are planing a weekend or even weekday afternoon. I've tried one too many nail spots, and I am incredibly happy to have come across this perfect place last spring! I've gone here maybe four to six times since, and each experience has left me more than satisfied. I haven't really made much conversation with the workers, but from what I have collected it is family owned. Their prices are a little higher than I have paid in other places, but the jobs they do are worth every penny. They even offer you water or green tea when you sit down! The best times to come are in the mornings on weekdays. I usually come by on Mondays around 11 or 12, and being the only one being worked on, they put all their focus on you. Definitely not the place for you if you're on a time schedule, as they take their time to make each nail perfect. Lastly, parking is very scarce, so weekends would most likely be killer and thus, my recommendation of weekday mornings if you can make it. read more

So I wanted to try a new nail place to get a cute design for Christmas! This salon specializes in designs so I thought it would be a great choice! I was pretty disappointed because the technician I got filed down my cuticles so now they looked cracked and horrible. Secondly she cute my natural nail with nippers which as I have been through cosmetology school I know is not acceptable. Then as she applied products to my nails that caused them to burn, which I have never burned at a nail salon. The reason the burned was the nippers had cut the skin under my nails.(keep in mind I don't have any allergies to nail products) Lastly I had asked if the design was too complicated the nail tech said she could do it and while my nails looks nice they don't look as nice as the photo and I was charged $100 which to me was not worth it for the nails I got! read more

This salon is great; they always get me in when I need a mani/pedi, never rush and truly take their time. I recently tried dip powder for the first time and I am a believer! I had an appointment for 3:30, they had even called to confirm that I had an appointment, and I was so excited to try this place. I got there and was told to wait, which is totally fine, 10 or so minutes to get the stations ready, or whatever they need to do. I ended up waiting 30 minutes before I decided to leave because no one was telling me what was happening. Multiple other customers were able to walk in and get seated immediatey. I went in to the spa for a gel mani and gel pedi. Gel pedi- ok, no complaints But gel mani...let's me start by saying...it was terrible!!! Not only the nail technician was rude, wasn't knowledgeable for the services they offered. I didn't feel welcome. And also her work was utterly awful. It was just a basic gel mani. And after all, the gel was all over my cuticle, knowing for sure it would peel in no time. Getting my nails done with my mom, first time here and it's been wonderful. No wait at all and everyone was very friendly. My mom is a regular here and loves it so i thought I'd give it a try. I have acrylics on and also always have gel on top of my acrylic. My nail tech really took her time with everything and removed my black gel completely for my new color. Since my regular nails salon closed I have to find an other good nails salon, so far so good with my third here. Their price is fair to me. (I always ask for a price in advance when I get my acrylic done).I love their powder color instead of gel color that I used to got. The powder color come out more natural even with long nails. I did not ask her to redo the entire set because there were only two people working, a party of two had just walked in for manicures and pedicures, and it was clear the whole situation was being rushed. I ended up going five minutes down the street to Bamboo Nail Spa, and they completely fixed my nails in about 45 minutes. The difference is obvious in the photos. I came back to show the original salon the comparison, and to their credit they were polite and gave me a $40 refund, which I appreciate. The staff was nice and the timing was decent, but the work itself was not worth the money for me, especially when there is another salon so close that does cleaner and more precise work.

I'm not detracting the any stars or the service because it was impeccable. I blame the lack of communication on my part. I just wanted to throw it out there go knowing what you need! Lol.
