Went to Luxury Nail Bar for a pedicure on a Sunday afternoon. I walked in without an appointment and only had to wait about 15 minutes. My pedicure was done by Helen and she was very thorough. I had the Deluxe Spa Pedicure and enjoyed the sugar scrub, sea mask, and hot stone massage. It was so relaxing, and I made full use of the massage feature on the chair. My toenails looked great when Helen was done. Last time I was here, about nine months ago, I thought the nail technicians seemed unhappy and the place was gloomy. Hannah did such a great job with my nails. I got gel x nails and she nailed the design I wanted. I liked how she made sure the polish wasn't thick on my sides and she cleaned up my cuticles carefully. It's been four weeks and my nails are still looking great. I usually go to Thu to do my builder gel manicures and I love her. She is extremely thorough and never rushes through the appointment. I always leave pleased with how beautiful my manicures always turn out. Additionally, their prices for builder gel is extremely reasonable. My main concern is not the quality of work, but the sanitation of their tools. Every time I've gotten a manicure, I would get cut and bleed. With an open cut at the cuticles, I assume there are measures that nail salons have to take to ensure that tools maintain sterile. For example, I've been cut with e-files and the brush that she uses to apply the builder gel comes close to the bleeding cuticle and all she does is spray with acetone and placed away. As for the tools, I don't know if they get sanitized afterwards because she just places the bits back into her box. Maybe she sanitizes the tools afterwards and I don't see, but it is somewhat bothersome to me. I don't know anything about how tools are sterilized after each appointment. I would like to return again, but I am concerned with the cleanliness. read more

The cost of going to a nail salon has gotten out of control and it pains me to spend my hard earned money only to end up with these results. I went in for a manicure and pedicure on Monday December 23rd. Every one was very nice, but the elderly lady who did my manicure did a horrible job. None of my nails were filed to the same shape or length, I was cut on my pinky, and the polish started to peel off just a few hours later. These photos show the quality of the work done less than 24 hrs later. My gel pedicure is in better shape, but again my nails are all uneven and the polish is lumpy( don't want to include feet pics) . I spent $80 dollars on the pedicure and $25 dollars on the manicure, plus tip on top and it was a total waste read more

Li (or Lee, not sure how her name is spelled) did an amazing job with my gel manicure. She was very detailed and precise, and painted my nails as I asked, all the way to the cuticle. I was very pleased with her work. I was able to easily make an appointment for the same day, 45 minutes after calling, on a Saturday. I've been coming to this place for years and I will never be back. The nail ladies are rude and they charge you for every little thing. I always get almond nails and I asked for French tip this time. Everytime I get French tip it's a $10 up charge. I go to check out and they charged $15 for the French because it was a "different French". I swear they just make things up. I hate leaving a bad review because I'm in the industry as well so I get it.. but this was the most painful pedicure ever! I was there Sunday 6/27/21 I was really excited to try Luxury Nail as I had heard great things about them from my friends and read great reviews.. I was a walk in and was greeted / sat down right away. They gave me the menu and the color book, I asked for the Tropical Deluxe Pedicure as I really wanted the massage/ relaxation part of it... Also was excited for a mimosa as I read online they give you those but my nail tech said no mimosa because of Covid. So a little disappointed but understood. My nail tech didnt really rub the scrub into my legs before rinsing it off, she rushed the callus scraping part which is what I really needed as Im always wearing sneakers and was talking to another nail tech and I swore every time she started talking she stopped working on my feet. She then began to cut my cuticles but instead continuously cut the skin around my toes not my cuticles. i had to keep letting her know how much it hurt, idk if she didn't believe me or something until she saw some blood. I noticed she didnt sanitize the tools she used before or after using them on me just put them back in her bin... she then tried drilling my gel off of my toes and I had to keep letting her know it hurt and she was drilling too hard.. my nails are now paper thin/ red... Then during the massage with the hot stones/ oil she was digging into my legs and I twitched she asked if the pressure was too hard and I was like yes sorry could you please go softer. I could tell she was annoyed by this point. She walks off to answer the phone and comes back and continues the massage while talking to a customer on the phone again stopping the massage every time she would talk. I came in really hoping to relax because I haven't been having the best day. My uncle passed and this just did not help. Then to finish it off I asked her to not do gel since it was painful and hard for her to get the gel off and to just do regular polish.. pictures attached show the paint job, the pedicure was just not neatly done she got polish on my skin and around my toes but not even on the full nail.. i asked if she could clean up the big toe nail at least and she said she couldnt because shes not able to file it bc it obviously hurts me too much.. Lol ok fine.. noted So then when it comes time to paying She tells me my total I wanna say it was like $54 and when I handed her my card she asked If I had cash. I apologized and said no I just had my card, she ran the card asked me to sign and then said they had an atm in the back for a tip. I asked her why cant I tip on the card and she said they dont accept card tips... I get it you dont wanna be taxed for your tip but inconvenient that I have to go to the atm pull out no less then $20 and pay an atm fee on top of your service credit card feee just to get change from you to tip you... at least have a sign in front saying cash preferred or set the expectation on the payment process ahead of time. The whole experience was incredibly uncomfortable and I will not be back. Im sure everyones experience isn't like this I do not blame the shop. But I just did not have a good pedicure at all and I hope the business will do better. read more

I had a decent experience for the first few visits to this salon. I had moved and was trying to settle on a good nail place because I adored my prior stylist. After my fourth visit I noticed my nails were just cracking from the sides. Within another two visits, my nails were all breaking from the middle and I'd noticed that when my gel was removed, the nails were being thinned out heavily(from filing, etc?) At my 6th visit they told me to just use powder(two times more expensive). I ended up going in weekly for them to keep repairing my nails and spent a lot more than I usually did. I went from having the nicest nails with so many compliments, to people asking me what had happened to my nails. I waited some time to write this review to see what happened to my nails after I switched stylists. My nails are absolutely fine now, 9weeks later. I believe this salon damaged my nails and it is unfortunate because i believe if they just used more care in their removal of the gels as my prior stylist did, this would never happen. If you have really strong nails, perhaps this place is fine. But be weary if you don't. read more

I have never been to this specific salon before. Let's just say I'll be returning! I requested Donna for my nails because I had seen some wonderful reviews for her online. I'm so glad I scheduled my appointment with her! She's so kind, very attentive and helpful, gentle, and so are her other employees. It's a great, peaceful, caring salon environment. Okay, about the nails: First of all, Donna finished this set very quickly. I came in right at 11:30 and my nails were done a couple minutes before 1. Considering what I requested, I'm throughly impressed. She pays abundant attention to detail and continuously checked in with me throughout the appointment making sure I approved of what she was doing on my nails. I've also experienced sensitivity and reactions to many gel/nail products before, but had no reactions to the products she used! Pricing: Very fairly priced. It was $80 for gel extension and french tip + nail art, and I tipped $20 because of her amazing service. I would consider this a great price! I want to start off by thanking Kim for taking her time on doing my nails and if you decide to try this place out please make an appointment with Kim. I selected this nail salon to surprise my mom for her birthday because it seemed to be a really good place. I was very disappointed and will not be coming back. First of all, their deluxe pedicure states callus removal, and my mom has always struggled with callus on her soles. We've never had an issue at any other nail salon and they always remove it when asked especially when their deluxe pedicure states they remove callus, however at this nail salon this was not the case. All they did was add a scrub on her legs, pass over her soles with those yellow foot scrubbers they use, then proceeded to cover her legs in a mask, and finally used hot rocks and called it a day. The "callus" removal they did with the yellow scrub is the same thing they did to me and I asked for a regular pedicure, we would have never paid for a deluxe pedicure if that's all they really did. When I told them that they did not remove her callus and I could still very clearly see it, they claimed that they did, then used a dirty nail file and some Vaseline for lips to "remove" the callus. They asked my mom to touch her soles and said "see it's soft" I got angry and said "yea it's soft because you used Vaseline but as soon as it dries the callus will continue to be there."Another employee told me that "no matter how much we file the callus will not be removed." I obviously knew that it wouldn't be 100% removed but they didn't even try. Finally the employee doing the pedicure pulled out the nail file machine and angrily began filing away and removed the callus. If she had done that from the very beginning they wouldn't have wasted so much time. The lady that did my moms nails did a sloppy job. From the pictures you can clearly see the streaks, I understand it's because it's a matte top coat, but from all the nail salons I've been to the matte top coat has never looked as streaky as it did here. Not only were the streaks the problem but she didn't bother to clean up under my moms nails and left acrylic clumps underneath. The lady that did the pedicure did a sloppy job on her toe nails as well. Kim did my nails and I appreciate her for taking her time and making sure the lines were perfect. After further inspection the white nail polish is clumpy, I can see lint trapped under the top coat. I understand things happen and I'll probably have lint trapped even when I go to other nail salons, the clumpy white nail polish I think has to do with the type of nail polish they used. Regardless of how great Kim did, I would have probably paid less at other nail salons than I did here. In total I paid $270 for 1 regular pedicure ($50), 1 deluxe pedicure ($55), my nails ($70), my moms nails ($75), and eyebrow wax ($20). I would have spent less at my regular nail salon and would have gotten better results. In total I left $50 in tips and 2 of the employees in my opinion did not deserve the tip because of their attitude and how they did their job. I also provided updated images 2 days after I got my nails done, the nail polish is chipping off, and the top coat is starting to lose it's shine. Keep in mind I work as a bookkeeper and all I do is type on my keyboard and write every now and then, I can't imagine what nails would look like for someone who uses their hands more. read more
