This injury is better known as a "Spaghetti Wrist"
    Joe T.

Saba is AMAZING! and this is why I can say that: I suffered a traumatic injury on my right hand that severed 10 tendons, 2 nerves and the ulnar artery. This happened last summer and within 48 hours, after a 13 hour surgery, the surgeon had requested that I immediately go see Saba at Hands On Care, which I did. Upon entering the clinic, I met Saba whom was very driven to start treating my wound which was all bandaged up from surgery. She very carefully removed all bandages, reapplied new wound care treatment to the stitches and prepared a custom brace for my hand to keep it immobile. For the next few months I went to therapy 5 times a week then 4 and now 3 and can honestly say that I can move my wrist with full motion, my grip is strong and I can fully extend all fingers. All this progress is not because I sat back and enjoyed the show but rather it's a full commitment from both myself and my therapist (Saba). She is very demanding and knowledgeable and it's what I need in a therapist. If you're looking for a cute and trendy place with a quiet and airy atmosphere- leave, this is not your place. But if you want to treat your injury and get better then this is your place.

However, this review is due to the new ownership. I wanted to obtain the previous at-home PT exercises/program but no one answers the phone and no one ever calls back (even text messages are not replied to) which is extremely frustrating. On the other hand, they were quick to call back to schedule something (and take my money). I will not be supporting a place that is only interested in my out of network payment and not the interest of their patients.

Ayesha treated me for some pain I had postpartum and she validated a lot of things that other providers had dismissed. She helped me feel seen as a whole, which was refreshing during that part of my life where everyone else was telling me the pain and changes were all a normal part of motherhood. For my current situation, she did a thorough assessment and provided clear explanations and guidance on what is happening in my body and how we will tackle my plan of care. The staff are also on it with contacting my physician and keeping track of the referral information and helping me schedule my follow-ups in a friendly way. I highly recommend SVPT and Ayesha if you want physical therapy from a clinic that truly cares.

However I feel that my honest feedback could be valuable to other people like myself who choose based on reviews. I also hope that this can help them improve the care they provide. If you're seeking actual assessment, progress, and recovery for an injury, I would not recommend this practice. I felt that there was no attempt to actually understand what my issue was. After a super brief assessment consisting of mostly just questions, I was told it was probably just muscle tightness. My next several appointments consisted of riding the bike, being asked from 1-10 how much pain, and then performing a really weak series of stretches, and being told I can go ice at home. For how much physical therapy costs, I found this really disappointing. Each time I came in I reported that it felt the same, and it didn't feel any different after leaving, sometimes it actually felt worse. When I asked what the plan was, it was to just continue on for 6 weeks, and if that didn't resolve it, to go my doctor for a scan. It felt like there was no plan, no desire to understand what was causing my issue, and no assessment of progress. I came hoping to solve my problem and it felt like I was just being put through the motions. After a few weeks of appointments I feel more confused and frustrated than when I started. I've done physical therapy at other practices, and had a very different experience. I'm glad I have had those other experiences because otherwise I would probably think the PT business is unhelpful and expensive based on how this went for me.

To all the parents raising a child with a neurodivergent brain: I know it's hard to trust the…read moreprocess, but take it from this mom: "trust the process." I know how exhausting it can be. The endless research, appointments, teacher conferences, and constant questions about how to best support your child and help them reach their full potential. I've sat through countless meetings where I was told my child was too wiggly, too silly, or not meeting expectations. I've experienced the heartbreak of camps, sports, and social situations that didn't always work out as planned. My son, Ben, has always been a foot taller than his peers, and as many parents of taller children know, people often expect maturity that doesn't necessarily match their age or developmental stage. One of Ben's biggest struggles has been tunnel vision, Executive functioning skills, and maturity. Today marks a huge milestone: Ben has officially graduated from Occupational Therapy. This accomplishment didn't happen overnight. It took years of hard work, patience, consistency, and guidance. Mrs. Alex and Mrs. Hannah have been instrumental in helping Ben develop the skills, confidence, and self-awareness he needed to grow into the amazing young man he is becoming. They met him where he was, celebrated his strengths, and gave him the tools to succeed in a way that worked for him. I would also like to thank April in the back office. From scheduling appointments to helping our family navigate the logistics over the years, she was always kind, welcoming, and supportive. The little things matter, and her warmth and care helped make every visit a positive experience. Watching Ben grow and mature has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I truly couldn't have done it without this incredible team. Their dedication, compassion, expertise, and belief in my son made all the difference. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Mrs. Alex, Mrs. Hannah, and April. You have all played an important role in Ben's journey, and our family will be forever grateful.
