I was so impressed with this place and how Dana handled my 8 year old kid who was incredibly nervous about getting his hair cut. I've been searching high and low for a good barber out here in north jersey and finally after nearly 5yrs I've found them!!!! I'm so excited!! The place is clean and beautiful! It's run by two lady barbers. Which is so new to me. Outside of Eve in the barbershop movies I've never seen a woman barber in real life!! They are like unicorns & the shop is Narnia!! I have to admit I was a bit nervous going here cause they are women & white. As a Black person I know I have preconceived notions about getting my hair cut by a white person. But I went in anyway and was pleasantly surprised!! She knew exactly what she was doing and took her time. She also made great conversation and made me feel right at home! I love this place and my new lady barber!! A simple Caesar cost me $20. Which is great This is my new spot!!! read more

This place is a gem. I tried this place on a whim after getting some mediocre haircuts near my house in Randolph. My hair was uneven and beard was a mess. Dana to the rescue :) Dana is an awesome barber who gets the haircut and beard on point every time. Free espresso and great music. This place is really amazing! Both ladies do a great job, and I can't honestly choose which one I prefer! The place is really clean, and the have a good waiting spot, with a nespresso machine too! Since people are finding our about this great place, Fridays and Saturday's there's usually a wait, but you can always call ahead and they will tell you if there's too many people waiting! I was at that place yesterday to get my head shaved and get my beard fixed. When i asked to be shaved with a straight razor, the lady said she couldnt use it but had to use the machine and asked the other lady if she could but the answer was no and i was suggested to go to the other shop across the street and since i waited 40 mins i told them that i didnt have time to do so...i really dont get how you work at a barbershop and dont know how to use a straight razor ... After she fixed my beard there was no line on the edges ( again she couldnt use the razor for it) , after i was done i had to go home and shave again...to be honest it was the worst experience even tho she told me that she have had an experience for 20 years.... The person who gave me the haircut was named Gina, the staff including her was very friendly and nice but unfortunately it is not enough to make people happy read more

I used to get my haircut by the owner Dana when she worked at another shop. I was bummed that she had left that shop but I'm really happy that she's back with her own place! She picked up right where we left off with my usual haircut and parking was easy even on Broad St. (there's a muni lot nearby if you can't find street parking. Despite the fact that there are a lot of barber shops in the same area or block , i would definitely recommend Handsome Heads and Dana first of all because her place is clean and secondly she pays attention to details.
