Every Disneyland trip requires a stop at Good Boy Grocers in Mickey's ToonTown at Disneyland Park!…read moreThe reimagined Toontown officially opened in March 2023. The Good Boy Grocers is themed like a farmer's market or like a roadside stand. It services as a fun quick stop spot for refreshing snacks and drinks. The name itself is from Pluto! Good Boy Grocers offers grab and go items that are perfect for eating while standing in line for a ride. There are two rides in ToonTown. There is the Roger Rabbit Spin and Mickey's and Minnie's Runaway Train. The menu has items like fresh fruit such as bananas, apples, cheese snacks, cookies, fruit bars, pickles, assorted chips, and bottle beverages. During the holidays or special events, Good Boy Grocers does offer limited time offerings such as themed strawberry slushies! One of the highlights of Good Boy Grocers is that you can craft your perfect picnic basket! It's a customizable collection where you can choose several snack items and a beverage together in a souvenir basket, optionally paired with a picnic blanket! There are play areas and spaces in ToonTown that you can take a break for the picnic! Since it's a quick service kiosk, you don't need advanced dining reservations. Most of the items are under $14.99. It's located next to CenTOONial Park and close to the other ToonTown dining options such as Café Daisy. There are plenty of tables available to sit and eat at too!

And one of the ways you do that is to buy yourself a smoked dog topped with gobs of pulled pork, onion shreds, and a deep-fried pickle on top. Then you squirt some tangy aioli atop the whole deal. Once you get that, you can ask for some epic bacon Mac & Cheese as a side and your meal is complete. The service was excellent as the guys kept making some great suggestions that didn't have the air of the same 'ole inane chitchat. Plus, when you throw in some free bacon mac how could I think the folks working here are anything but stellar? All in all, this is a great hidden nook if you're in the mood for some great dogs with a decidedly Southern twist.

A nice gentleman told me he makes the best hotdogs around. I ignored two huge red flags: no people in line for these special dogs and the $19.00 price tag for a hotdog. I took the bait and ordered one. My only way to describe what I paid twenty hard earned dollars for is garbage. Cold bun, a lukewarm over cooked hotdog, wrapped in bacon, smoked to a crisp, stuffed with fries, cheese and sour cream. The hotdog was drier than a piece of beef jerky. Oh yeah, it was covered with dried out Korean beef on top. Again, dry and lukewarm. Tasteless. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Upon entering, you see the minimalistic menus of sandwiches and drinks. (There are also small paper menus available but the aesthetic is a treat!) it's a small spot, but it exudes personality and a homey vibe. It's like a pub setting you see in Shaun of the Dead but much more comfortable and low key. The servers were very friendly and attentive to our table. I tried the French Dip and the BLT. Both were delicious and packed with meat. One thing about Windsor Brown's is they DO NOT skimp on the meats! Huge points! I executed a beautiful cheese pull upon my first bite, but could not capture it on picture because I ate too fast! So you'll just have to take my word for it. My family also enjoyed their sandwiches. They tried the Devil Made Me Do It and another sandwich with ghost peppers. We all left with our bellies full and our spirits high! 5/5 WILL return next time I'm in town.

What made the stop even better was the service behind the bar. The employee taking our order and serving the sandwich was genuinely pleasant, attentive, and accommodating, offering great recommendations that made choosing easy and the experience even smoother. The sourdough was exactly how it should be: fresh, crisp, lightly toasted and sturdy enough to hold everything together. Inside, Calabrian deviled egg salad met a perfectly jammy egg, spicy mayo and peppers for a creamy, tangy kick with just the right amount of heat. Messy? A little. Worth it? Absolutely. This was a lip-smacking, reach-for-another-bite kind of sandwich. We didn't have time to dive into the beer selection, but there were plenty of tempting options. With its business-district location, this would be an easy stop after work for a cold brew and a seriously good sandwich. Quick stop. Great service. Killer sandwich. The Devil Made Me do it.
