This sandwich place is pretty good, but it is not excellent compared to the many sandwich places where I've eaten in California. I would go there again, but I don't see how the sandwiches are any different than what's available at other restaurants in Boulder City. I guess they are a little more interesting in terms of the bread that's available. It seems the customer has the choice for self service or full service, but I was a little confused. I own a house in Boulder City but also live in California, and so I'm not a tourist but a resident for over ten years. Came to enjoy a great sandwich only to find that they have made changes to the menu. Chips are no longer an option (not a fan of potato or macaroni salad, or coleslaw) and they no longer offer the cottage cheese with hot honey (was told it too difficult to make...really???). That cottage cheese was something unique. To top it off they are out of bacon for the turkey club...grrr!!! Might just be the last time I come here. $15 for a sandwich is on the pricey side and when you don't get good options as sides, it becomes really expensive! Used to recommend this place...not anymore. Had to update this review and remove another star...my husband bought the beer cheese pretzels and didn't finish them. We cruise out on bikes fairly regularly to Boulder City and have been to this place numerous times and love it. Owner and staff are awesome and super friendly (special shout out to Avery who is always amazing). Always get the turkey club with macaroni salad, but today had the potato salad for something different. The macaroni salad is the bomb (get it and thank me later), but the potato salad was really good as well. Supplemented with some chili today since it was chilly outside today (see what I did there?) and it was good as well. First time sitting inside today, as we're usually out on the patio, so that was nice with all the TVs inside and football and hockey on. Finally made it over to Hangar 502...just wow!! The minute we walked in we were exuberantly greeted by Haley from the pristine open kitchen...took a seat by the bar where Monee provided excellent service and convo. The restaurant is extremely clean and very well maintained, and our meal was top notch. I went with the veggie sandwich which was straight up off the hook with microgreens and a delightful green goddess dressing, highly recommend!! The Mr thoroughly enjoyed his healthily proportioned pastrami sandwich...we both had leftovers which we gladly toted home for later. This is a wonderful addition to the BC dining scene, owners James and Becky have really taken ownership of this flagship corner and transformed it into something special...congrats and kudos all around, we will be back!!! read more

Overpriced and under desired. Location is great but food and service leaves something to be desired. They put yellow mustard on a Ruben sandwich it was aweful! The menu did not say classic mustard or I WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED IT. My father in law ordered a $15 sandwich meal and says "I will take half home for later" the meal was so small I don't think it would have filled up my toddlers belly. This place will not make it in Boulder City. Nice knowing you hanger 502 can't wait to see what goes in location after you close it down. read more

Great place for lunch. We love the downtown area. We usually make a day trip here when we visit Vegas. It was new, tried it on a wim and couldn't be more pleased. The sandwiches contained fresh and flavorful ingredients and were large, definitely shareable. Service was amazing and the place was very clean. Love the new trendy vibe. The sign says Rescue Bar and Grill, but I don't know why it says grill. A grill invokes thoughts of Burgers and bar food which this is not. It is mainly deli sandwiches and a few salads. We had a muffuletta sandwich and a "large" Caesar salad with chicken. The sandwich was $15 and a bit smaller than most with potato salad that was severely lacking. The Caesar was the size of a side salad $13, and the chicken seemed to be deli chicken that is cold, precooked and tasteless. I did not enjoy anything about the meal. Very nice addition to Boulder City. We stopped in for a bite and a beer. Had the Muffaletta sandwich and a Mango Cart draft. Very tasty. We would have sat outside, but it was 104°.
