Great atmosphere, great food, and great service. My server Heather was very polite and made a great attitude, really made us feel welcome.

The food is generally good, but my go-to, the Shrimp Po'-Boy, wasn't on the menu last time I was there in May of 2026. Disappointing!

We stopped in for lunch around 11am when they opened. After waiting a some time for our food, we were told they had only one cook working to explain the delay. Which was fine--it happens. Then It took about 30 more minutes for 2/3 of our meals to come out. Meanwhile other tables seated/ordered much later than us were receiving their meals ahead of us. We did not order anything specialized or complicated. We were STILL waiting on the 3rd meal after an hour of ordering. We had to get going (this was supposed to be a convenient spot for lunch ahead of a road trip) so that meal had to be taken to go by the person in our party who had ordered. They discounted the meal, so at least we didn't pay for it, but that's not the point. I don't blame the server. She was doing her best, but where was the manager in all of this? Apparently nowhere. The experience today is enough to keep us away for the foreseeable future. read more

Updated review from a year ago. This was not as good of service as previous times. We called ahead to ask if we needed reservations and were told that we didn't. We arrived at 4:00 to be told that they couldn't seat us until 4:30. There were only two other couples in the entire place. We waited at the bar and the three of the four of us ordered drinks. I wanted a coffee and was told that there is no coffee in the building. So I asked about the expresso martini and what is in it. I was told the run down and it had a shot of expresso. So I ordered a shot of expresso minus the liquor. The bar tender seemed to get a bit of an attitude from that. We did get seated and placed our order for appetizers and then food. From the time we placed orders it took over an hour. Waters filled once and it took over 25 min for one of the drinks to come to us. It is sad to have this experience because we come here to visit friends every year and have always enjoyed this restaurant as per my previous posts. It's is hard to write a bad review but I feel it is important to be honest with every visit. The food was good and many times that can make up for a lot. read more

I didn't realize Bar Louie was a chain but it was giving upscale Applebee's. My fiancé and I got girl dinner and just ordered a couple appetizers and dessert. The food was fine, nothing I would rant or rave about but it hit the spot. Service was decent but if I had known it was chain I'd probably have picked somewhere local instead. read more

I've gone to Bar Louie a couple times a year for the past several years, at least 15. I've grown up in Perrysburg; it is convenient and boasts the best atmosphere in town. The food has always been disappointing and never upheld standards as judged from an adolescent and now adult but tonight 07/23/2026 was unacceptable. I decided the only way to course correct the disappointment over the years is to order one of the more expensive items, so I go with the steak frites cooked medium. It came out with my fiancés chicken about 30 minutes from ordering. The steak from cutting open was gray. I show the server the steak and he apologizes and brings it back to the kitchen. I then waited at least 25 minutes before the second attempt finally comes out again with the manager. She was very enthusiastic about the steak and said it would be one of the best I've ever had (I loved her passion, she didn't cook it, but also crazy thing to say to someone when you mess up that badly something as simple as steak). I cut it open Infront of her as requested and laugh and she then says she's so sorry as it was grayer than the first and that the thermometer must be broke and that she will "be right back with options". Anyway, what my fiancé didn't eat of her food (so she could eat something with me) was now freezing. I also never saw the manager again. The server came back out about 10 minutes later and asked if he can get us anything else. I laughed again because this was so uncomfortable and he then randomly responded by saying that the options she gave me was either I can get a third attempt at the steak or get my meal and my fiancés free. However, I had to still pay for drinks which at this point was more expensive than the food as I had to drink this meal away. I was so disappointed and this was unfortunately my last time ever going here for food again. Drinks tho you can't mess up unless you really want to! My thoughts as someone who is also in management is why would you send an employee out there to give the resolutions after telling the customer you would be right back? And also comping my fiancés meal isn't enough and means nothing as we would have gone anywhere else if I knew she would have been eating alone! Bar Louie is definitely a fun, late evening hangout with friends or family while getting some drinks. The atmosphere is a mix of casual and date night. They have a decent menu and full bar. Location is fun and right in the middle of some trendy stores, movie theater & comedy club at the outdoor mall. Service has always been great! Side note: the Cesar salad could definitely use more flavor/dressing. read more

**Update** No complaints. Every time I come it gets better and better. The midnight berry martini is fantastic. The Cajun salmon and shrimp is consistently great. Happy hour. That is the only time I would come. Lovely bar atmosphere for this area. Nothing compares to the bar Louis in the hill country of San Antonio. Bartenders are friendly and attentive. We like to go here in the spring and summer to eat on the patio. Staff normally polite, wouldn't call it a friendly place. Whenever we go, whether it's a weekend or a weekday it's rarely crowded and at times there's only three or four tables that have people. That being said we went in one night around 6 o'clock and noticed that there were only about four tables that had people at them. We asked if we could do a table for two and the hostess gave us this weird negative look and told us no we're booked up for the night. We looked around and clearly this place was not booked up . Considering it only takes about an hour-90 minutes to get your food and be gone. I doubt it would've been an inconvenience. She said it was a 4 hr. wait....cant see how that was accurate unless they were going to leave all the tables empty until 730. It was a really weird vibe from her. we've never been told that we had to wait more than 15 minutes even when it's crowded or we want a particular outdoor table. The food isn't that special the location its the convenient location. I will now be searching for a new place that allows you to eat outside when the weather is nice and doesn't make you feel like you are a homeless person asking to dine for free. I really don't think you should make customers feel ill at ease when you look at them and refuse to let them sit down. At least make a suggestion? read more

Based on numerous visits, mainly for drinks and snacks but have eaten a number of times. Atmosphere has a nice local vibe even for a chain. TV's spaced at distance at a large U shaped bar if you want to watch sports. Food quality is not bad. Drink and food prices are a bit high and service is OK but the bartenders always seem overworked. Menu has some meals, sandwich's, burgers, pizza and salads. OK for a chain. Parking is available which is good, either on the street or behind the building near the theatre I'm Levis commons. Its worth a visit if you need a change. I do like this location for drinks, mainly for the vibe/energy. read more

Listen I don't come out to the burg all that often, but when I do I head to Bar Louie and ask for LaVaya to be my server. Her energy is magnetic and she is fast to bring out your drinks and food. The vibes in the place are also immaculate, a perfect blend of lowkey and easy going while somehow you feel like you should be paying 2x the amount that you are. Our last night in town and we had a hard time finding a place to eat, especially with no reservations. We settled for a thirty minute wait and waited outside. After forty minutes I checked in to find out they accidentally skipped our name. I figured it happens and was just happy to get seated. The place wasn't busy, found out from our server they are short staffed... It took a few tries to order a draft beer, so many were out and had to go through a trial and error. Thank you for making my wife's 50th birthday party special! We had a group of 60 people and everything was great. The main server, Josh made sure everybody had drinks whenever they needed one and every tab for the party was correct. All the other servers and managers that helped out were fantastic as well. Customer service was good as they incorporate a main server and separate food runners. The drinks were decent. My mojito was standard, and the strawberry lemonade cocktail was sweet but could hardly taste the alcohol. Mostly juice if you're into that kinda of thing. The food... again ok but not mind blowing. Burgers had a lot of potential but were dry and NEEDED more sauce. The "blackened shrimp tacos" were far from blackened but had a Cajun seasoning which was pleasant. *shrugs* this is a chain bar/restaurant, so you're going to get what you get with it. The menu is full of bar food items, and everything is similar to an Applebee's or other type restaurant. I got a turkey club sandwich, and it was okay. Then bread is just so greasy that I'm like "hmm". We got a plate of nachos as an app, and that was good, but you know, at the price you're kinda like "yeesh". The service was pretty good, so that is a plus. The location is inside Levis Commons outdoor mall, so that is nice as well. Overall, is it awful? No. Just mediocre. For the price there are a lot of other restaurants I'd prefer to try. read more

The chicken nachos were basically tortilla chips with a splash of cheese sauce with a couple chunks of chicken. The manner in which the lettuce wraps were served made it difficult - maybe we are used to PF Chang's. The buns on the burgers were cold. The pasta dish was tasty but not the right temp. Honestly horrible. Service is disgraceful, it really couldn't get worse than that. For starters, if you're looking for a place to hang out at with a party more than 10, you better look somewhere else.
