Service was fairly quick, and there's decent seating inside, perfect for catching up with friends or relaxing solo with a drink. We tried the karak chai, which was super flavorful and refreshing, and the madras coffee -- which honestly stole the show! It tastes just like authentic filter coffee from India, rich and perfectly balanced. The bun with malai and honey was light, fluffy, and paired perfectly with our drinks -- a simple but absolutely delicious snack. Definitely recommend this spot if you love authentic chai or South Indian-style coffee -- a true hidden gem worth visiting!

I also got a mango refresher. -karak cheesesteak 5 - it is so difficult trying to find a good place that makes cheesesteaks. The one by me skimps on the meat. However, here as in the picture, you can see they were very generous with the meat. The meat was very tender and flavorful. I like that they put their own spin on the sandwich with their spices. Not spicy. -grilled tandoori chicken sandwich 5 - I gobbled this up within minutes. The chicken was very succulent. The spices and the sauce made it very tasty. -mango refresher 5 - very refreshing drink. Good size cup.

We had the tea leaf salad, which had just the right blend of crunch and spice. The samusas were hot and flesh and the flavor of both the mohinga and coconut chicken noodle dish I had were phenomenal. And of course the service was impeccable. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to be back and try the tofu salad and Shan noodles next time.

I'd rate it on par, or even better, than San Francisco's Burmese options. Service was much friendlier here, that's for sure! Tawk was a delightful host...making jokes along with dish recommendations. Sadly, we gobbled up the food before I remembered to take photos. D'oh! I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad--a Burmese staple and a real treat if you haven't had it before. Very flavorful and just a hint of spice (don't eat the sliced peppers if you're spice-adverse, but we devoured them). We also had Shan Noodles (B8). I also recommend that. A mild to medium spice level and very tasty. Generous portions. Two dishes was enough for two though I wish we had tried the spring rolls or samosas too--we might have had leftovers if we had! The restaurant itself is inviting and clean. They did a good job considering the location in a strip mall. The lighting looks nice, and the textured walls add to the inviting ambience.

If…read moreI could bottle it, I'd put a little dabby on my neck every night before bed, and then dream I'm prancing through kebab fields in a tutu. This is a happening place. They decorated it with hanging plants, some art, a fish tank. A slight haze of smoke. Desserts on display. I'd say the finest work of art here are the prepped skewers, waiting to be thrown on their charcoal grill. My gaze was fixed on the meat display as if I was Cookie Monster at Crumbl. I composed myself and took a seat. They have great hot and cold appetizers. They have breakfast! Check out their menu, I've included a pic. Lahmacun is a crunchy brick oven flatbread with ground meat. It feels so light, airy, and crunchy, you could eat the whole thing and later say "..um, I ate the whole thing". We ordered a few King Chef's mixed grill platters. It is a medley of filet morsels, chicken, lamb chops, shawarma, shish kebab, and many other things, along with bulgar and fries. Why are their fries so good? Okay, so I know we're just talking about lemonade, but their house made lemonade is so good. We also loved their tea. We went way overboard on desserts. We just kept pointing at sharable items like John Travolta to the Bee Gees. All of the desserts were delicious. For some reason, the simplest of them, rice pudding, won the dessert battle that day. They have plenty of intriguing items that will lure me back, and I'm looking forward to it!

I'd do think they need to get a Sun Block Blind for the outside window; as it was pretty warm inside with direct sun hitting. The location is not easy to find. Rayan started by serving us a complimentary hot bowl of chicken corn soup. He gave us another bowl too! I must say everything we had tasted authentic and flavorful. They make everything in house right down to the end with deserts! We started with samosas which came out piping hot, filled nicely and not a bit greasy. I loved all the chutneys that accompanied all our dishes and soup. All the meats are halal in this establishment. We haven't had beef chapli kabobs this good in a long time. The chicken boti had a nice subtle charcoal flavor and every chicken piece was seasoned and flavored throughout not just on the top! They give you nice generous portions as well. When everything is made to order, it takes a little bit longer but it's well worth the wait. The desert of warm gulab jamuns in a nice syrup and kheer with chai was really delicious.
