I was recommended this place by some friends and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken sando combo with the hot spice level and my friend had the chicken wrap combo also with the hot spice level. The fries were surprisingly my favorite part of the meal. The chicken in the sando was so flavorful and perfectly spiced. I really appreciated that as a big fan of spicy food. The chicken wrap was also really good. The only down side was that the food took a while but it's a small price to pay for such good food. I recommend this place for anyone who is a fan of chicken sandwiches. read more

This place is legit! I ordered the 12 wing, half buffalo and half angry hot! The buffalo flavor was as expected but the angry flavor was amazing! Just a heads up, I only like flavorful spicy food, not stuff that's just hot. The angry hot flavor did bring the heat so try at your own risk. The service was great and the inside was clean. Most of the food is a bit spicy so beware if you have a sensitive palate to spice. Although the chicken is juicy and flavorful, especially the chicken sandwich and chicken fingers. The service was somewhat quick, since you order at the counter and receive your food within about 10 to 15 minutes. We ordered for take out since we were headed home. The ambiance is casual and up beat and trendy. It's a family owned chain with locations on the east and west coast, Dubai, and Korea. There's a few tables of seating for dining in option. I've seen Hangry Joe's hot chicken popping up in a couple locations around Maryland recently, so we stopped in to try the location in Frederick when we were in the area. Since it was my first time I stuck with their Combo #1, the original chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and a fountain soda (~$15). You get to choose your sauce spice level on a scale of no heat up to Angry Hot. I picked medium spice level. They had an assortment of drinks on the menu that you'd see at a bubble tea store that looked interesting. I was tempted to try one but decided not to, because the combo already comes with a fountain soda. It is a fast casual kind of place where you order at the counter and then sit down. We ate in and the food came out about 15 minutes later. Both sandwich and fries were tasty and the sandwich itself was large. Medium spice was spot on to what I consider medium and was perfect for me. The fries were waffle style, nice and crispy with a side of their sauce. Both of us agreed that the one thick pickle slice they put on the sandwich wasn't enough and that it could have used a couple more pickles. Food was seasoned well and chicken was very crispy but it was very oily. I tore those waffle fries up with the cheese. The Hangry Sauce was good but the chicken really taste good without it. The Max & Cheese wasn't really tasty to me and oddly enough I enjoyed the coleslaw. It had a pickled taste to me. I'd go back. We were so surprised by this place! The combo meals for $14.50 are a great deal, food came out quickly. The korean chicken nuggets were amazing. This restaurant is among several dining options in a suburban shopping center. Parking was plentiful and felt safe overall. The restaurant is tidy, the menus are easy to see and understand. The food was good. I got the Angry Hot" wings and they are HOT! I'm a fan of spicy food and these might have been the spiciest I've ever eaten. I couldn't tell how flavorful the songs were because the heat truly blew my palate out. The waffle fries were good as was the unsweetened ice tea that I had. There are signs throughout the restaurant that state a waiver is needed for the angry hot wings but I didn't have to be sign one. A couple of bizarre service things made the place miss 5 stars. 1) I ordered 6 wings and an iced tea. The total was about $15.50 but I noticed that a "combo" was $16.99. Fries on their own are $4.25. It would have been nice to have been told about the combo before I asked about it and ordered it on my own. 2) I couldn't finish my meal and asked for a to-go box. I was told by the cashier that they didn't have to-go containers although I saw several people order to-go and leave without issue. Finally spicy chicken joint that is actually spicy. We have been back at least 4 more times after our first visit there 1.5 months ago. The chicken was fresh and certified halal! They don't joke around when it comes to their spice level. Medium already gave me a good kick (and I can handle my spicy food). And the spiciest level was so spicy that you need to sign a waiver when you ordered it. My favorite was the spicy chicken Sando. It comes with potato buns, cole slaw, and their signature sauce. IM A HUGE SPICY CHICKEN FAN. So when I heard Frederick was getting a spot I was too hyped! The menu consists of like 5 combos and a couple other things that are just hot chicken in different ways. You got the sandwich, nuggets, wings, tenders or wrap... I went with the safe bet of the sandwich combo with fries and a drink for 15 bucks. I thought that was a great deal especially when I received my meal and saw just how big the breast was! I feel like I did get a bit shorted on the fries a bit.. was alittle upset especially since they were waffle fries which are my favorite lol but atleast you get unlimited refills if you dine in so I feel like it balances out. The chicken it self was cooked perfectly the sauce on it was good. I got the medium and it was perfect heat for me... I enjoy the slight sweat... the only thing I didn't like was it cole slaw. I definitely feel like it's an acquired taste it honestly tasted Asian inspired sweet and tangy... really couldn't put my finger on it but it just wasn't like the typical Nashville style that I'm accustomed to. It was fine, nothing special about the food. We got the wraps and chicken wings, which weren't anything to write home about. The sauces came on the side and not actually in the wraps which was disappointing. When I asked about augmenting the wrap I was told they couldn't which was weird. I tried to order the loaded fries and only after I asked about something else on the menu was I told they didn't have the cheese sauce for the fries. So I would have just gotten the order missing part of it had I not asked any additional questions. The wings weren't that good, overly breaded and missing flavor. It took a really long time to get the food as well, 25 min or so. The paintings on the walls are fun. Maybe it's because it is a new restaurant working out the bugs but in general it's not a place I would recommend to friends and family. read more
