Customer service - prime. After a day or two after deciding on my gown, getting measured, ordering and signing for a gown, I felt like the measurements we just slightly off. Without any issues, they had me come in (asap) to get re-measured so they could adjust the size. I'm glad I did because my dress really did fit well and minimal adjustments were needed. And all communication was consistent and thorough. Most importantly, everything was delivered as promised and on time. The tailor, (I think her name was Luz?) was also totally experienced, knowledgeable and extremely kind. I wish I came to this store from the beginning!

Minter & Richter can make ANY ring dream come true!!! Polly is AMAZING!!! She is so helpful and personable and fun! After helping us find the right size and materials for our rings, we got to go to the studio where her husband Scott makes the magic happen!! He made us a "sample" ring - to show the process - which was super cool!! (And you keep the sample ring!!!) This whole experience felt like a Once in a Lifetime day. I truly felt like I was in a fairytale!!! They also do a knife making "experience" that I hope to do when we come back next year!!! This couple is making absolute magic. The gowns themselves are stunning-the fabric is so beautiful and feels good against your skin. Some of the dresses are lined in silk, which is so luxurious. My favorite part is that they were also so comfortable but still looked like a million dollars. I worked with Lay and she was fantastic. Fun and professional and complimentary. I didn't bring people with me, but I was able to call a friend on FaceTime, and Lay helped talk through the details of the gowns and helped to steer me gently away from gowns that were way above my budget. The dresses are a perfect mix of modern, trendy, classic, and traditional, so I would definitely recommend for someone who's having a hard time finding a dress that fits their style. For the dress I ended up going with, she had the great idea to add detachable straps so that I could have 1 look for the church and something different (and easier to dance in) for the reception. I will say that I was skeptical at first because I couldn't get a sense of what to expect from their website or social media presence. It is a little confusing whether or not you are shopping at Musette or Boston Bridal Rack given that they share space on the 4th floor of the building. To be honest I'm still not clear which selection goes with which store but that didn't sway me from purchasing my dress. Definitely worth making an appointment here & try to work with Reese if you can!

So I made my appointment for a week out and was so excited, I had a list of dresses that were all in stock for me to pick from, that I confirmed on the phone with GLL. When I started my appointment I was immediately told that I needed to pick from the "ready to wear" selection because my wedding date was too soon (July 2026). I told my stylist that I was deliberately told I could choose from the entire inventory if I made my appointment within two weeks but she was persistent that I had to pick from the "ready to wear" selection, which only had about 3 of the dresses on my list. I had driven almost 2 hours from RI for this appointment and wouldn't have if I knew that I wouldn't be able to try a bunch of dresses that I loved! I came to my appointment with 6 family members/friends and only two of them were given champagne. They asked for more and were told no. We thought this was odd but didn't think much of it. Throughout trying on dresses, I felt super rushed and like I was not being heard at all on what I liked about each one that I tried. For example I loved one dress but it wasn't fitting right, I needed a size smaller, but my stylist wouldn't let me try the smaller size; instead she kept telling me "it will look much better when fitted correctly...." At the end of my appointment, I had only one dress that I was (kinda) interested in, until my stylist told me we were out of time and that I couldn't try on a vail with my final pick. I was honestly floored at this point and felt like I accidentally offended my stylist or something for her to basically kick me and my 6-person entourage out. I left GLL feeling super sad, rushed, and confused.

It was easy to make an appointment online, I took the T in but there was some street parking right outside the shop entrance on a little side street. The stylist I had my appointment with (Lay) was super sweet. She offered me a refreshment, asked about my wedding, took my measurements, then brought out the dresses I had put in my appointment request. I honestly fell in love with the first dress and, seeing what I liked about the dress, Lay picked out a gown that wasn't in my original list to try on that I also ended up loving, more than the other ones I had picked out. She also helped me to envision what the dress would look like with some alterations. She is definitely very good at her job. The one thing I would have liked was a bit more alone time to check myself out and take videos and walk around, it felt a little awkward to have someone hovering most of the time. Overall though it was a really great experience and I would highly recommend Grace Loves Lace to any bride to be, especially if it's your first time wedding dress shopping.

I knew going to a local store would be more expensive, but I wanted to support local JP stores. I had been emailing Sonia's the days before I came in. Asking if they had the dress, and what sizes they had. Everything seemed to be going well and I was excited to go in and finally order the dress. When I went in this afternoon, I was greeted by an older lady. I explained that I had been emailing with the store and was looking to get fitted so I could place an order. She could not find my email so I pulled it up on my phone to identify the dress. Then she came back with a big book with all the dresses. At this point, I was asking standard questions: how long does it take for the dress to come in, how long to alteration typically take, etc. I also asked how much the dress was. When she told me, it was significantly more than I thought it was going to be. But heck, it's a local store so why not? I also asked if alternations were included in the price and if not how much they would be? And if they do just alterations. All the while, taking off my coat and asking if she could fit me. She pushed an order form towards me and told me I had to order the dress first. I replied, that I wanted to know what size I was first before filling out the order form. She then repeated that I needed to fill out the paper order form. I then said "well, I'm still thinking" and again asked if she could fit me. Then she got rude and said she would only fit me if I ordered the dress first. Now I get a local business trying to protect itself, but I had already established I was interested. The business was also empty, she had time to fit me. I guess I was more caught off guard on how rude she was to me. So I left, I said if she didn't want to fit me she would get none of business. I would not buy the dress from them, not take it there for alterations.
