I went to Hanely to pick my buddy up who was dropping off his truck for regualr maintenance and Mario an employee there was an awesome guy! Smart, funny, made us laugh and was very informative and knowledge about the services that were being performed. There were a bunch of wood chips in the back of my friends truck bed and when we returned Mario had informed us that they had swept out the wood chips and washed his truck. First time coming to hanlees davis Chevy and the experience was great. As soon I walked in, I was greeted by the manager Christina and I was instantly helped out by Jessica the writer. The whole process went very smooth. They help me figure out what was wrong with my truck and I was able to talk to a tech Pedro about what was wrong and what was the next steps that was very helpful to understand the process. Do not finish when they say they would, manager does not seem to care about problems from his incompetent advisors, given them a few chances now and always the same thing. Last time coming here. I had the absolute worst experience at this dealership recently. The manager refused to give me a complete estimate on my total monthly cost to lease a Bolt unless I verbally committed to the transaction. How could I commit to leasing/purchasing a car without knowing my full cost?! When I told him I needed to see the numbers he told me he did not believe I was really interested and would not be able to provide me a detailed estimate and proceeded to walk away from me while I was seated in his office. I felt completely disrespected and utterly shocked. I DO NOT recommend visiting this dealership for your Chevrolet needs. read more

Handlees took care of my truck in a timely fashion. Jose got the repair I immediately needed taken care of and suggested a couple other things I should consider. Jose was not overly aggressive about selling the additional repairs and let me take my time to consider them. I will be bringing my truck back to him to handle other service work. Vanessa was the cashier on duty. She was very pleasant, and had a good sense of humor. She made paying my bill more fun than it should have been. Great staff. I haven't had much luck with the sales team finding me the used car I am looking for as an additional vehicle but it may just be too hard to find right now. read more

Wow.... Came to buy a Corvette Aug 3rd. Got approved for a used one(25K). Then I got told the General Manager would not authorize to bring the car in. We had to locate a vehicle and then they still would not bring the car in. Then a week into it our salesman/finance guy could never return calls or follow through on when or what he said he was going to do. So finally we check with a local Chevy dealer because he tells us our approval is good anywhere. So when we did that we found that the guy Josh had apparently told us we had approval and according to Sanborn Chevy we did not. So a last resort, I gave Josh at Hanlee an opportunity to explain. He told us we were approved and not to worry. They would be able to bring in the car after their tent sale. On Aug 11th I received a call from Josh that now told us we were not approved. He told us he would work on it with his contact to find out what happened and call us back later that day. Another empty promise. Hanlee ran our credit through over 20 times and assisted in dropping our credit scores due to multiple inquiries. Very disappointed. Will let everyone in the Corvette community that we have belonged to for 6 years know how this dealer cannot follow through with anything it states, leads people on with lies, cannot return phone calls and destroys peoples credit with running the file through every bank it can find without permission! Never in all our lives have we experienced such a fiasco of unprofessional, rude and condescending people. We will also make sure our contacts at Chevrolet are aware of Hanlee's tarnishing the GM/Chevrolet name with it's end user! DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR A CAR, FOR ANY CAR OR SERVICE! read more

I was told by Johnny that there would be "no suprises" when me and my dad drove out from Santa Cruz to Davis(6 hour drive there and back). We get there after seeing many pictures and find a huge dent on the side of the truck! It was also filthy and not cleaned properly. We tried working out a deal with then on the price and they laughed at us and didnt change the price after putting us through all that. The manager Jimmy was a slime bag and treated me like a crap. My husband and I purchased our vehicles from the Hanlees' dealership back in 2007. Throughout the years we have relied on Hanlees service department and most recently we rely on the helpful advice from service writer, Jose Corona. One of our vehicles has 133K+ miles and the other 95K+ so we do everything we can to maintain them and then Jose and the mechanics at Hanlees take care of everything else within a very timely manner. I had substantial problems with my Chevy Volt and had been to two other dealerships with no luck. My car is under warranty might I add, yet I took my car there yesterday and the service alone has been so far outstanding. I called ahead of time and spoke to Rhiannon and her professionalism led me to take my car there. When I arrived the service representative Jose was very cordial and stated this would be a last stop where my car would actually be fixed. I purchased a used 2012 Malibu for my daughter 4 months ago. I was told that we had an additional 2 years on the warranty and wouldn't have to worry about anything. I guess I should have read the fine print. The service light went on so my daughter took it to the dealer and they diagnosed it with the brake master cylinder, the steering sensor and the traction control switch were all bad and they want to charge me over $1,000 dollars. All of this before the first oil change which ironically is due now. And we had to pay $145 for to diagnose it. I talked to GM customer engagement and they reached out on my behalf to see what the dealership could do. I just received a call from the engagement center and they said there was no resolution offered. I will never buy another vehicle from them and make sure nobody I know does either. read more

I had thoroughly researched the car we wanted to purchase, including local pricing, MSRP and discounts. We were prepared to pay cash that day for a new vehicle. The salesman came back with a hand written amount on the sheet, which was $3,000 over the MSRP. I told him I was not going to start negotiating until we saw the window sticker. When they brought us a copy of the sticker, it was listed at the MSRP. I asked him what the additional $3,000 was for, he told me it was the dealers mark-up and all dealers do that. LIES!!! We left. When I shared the story with a friend, they told me that they had done to same thing to him when he went in to buy a truck. Do not go here to purchase a new vehicle! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALER. Wow i was lied to soo many times i really just lost count. My wife just loves 2012 Chevy Equinox LTZ Mocha color but these people in particular Tony and Leroy what a disaster. Upping internet pricing twice on me, telling me im approved why should i care what the rate is, asking Tony several times what is the interest or final monthly and being told dont worry just drive up will get it there is not at all solid especially since its a 6 hour drive. He calls me back finally giving me some BS about timing chain is bad on the car it requires 5k to fix it to blow me off. There is soooooo much more to this, im SHOCKED GM Doesnt do anything to check or respond to complaints. I drove almost 2 hours on my way there when Tony finally returned my call with a BS story stated above at which i hung up on him and turned back to come home. I have to call GM customer service and complain have them look at there reviews that this dealer is getting its just terrible. read more

i went into Hanlees Chevy yesterday to look at purchasing a 2015 SS, not with high expectations since the prior week i was at Team Chevy in Vallejo (horrible experience, flat out disrespect from this guy Rocco M) and they wouldn't sell me the car, now i've been buying new cars for over 30 years and never experienced that, enough of that, now i would highly recommend visiting Hanlees Chevy in Davis because like i said earlier i've been buying new cars for a long time and i'm going to be honest this was one of the best experiences buying a car that i've had from the understanding and knowledge of the vehicle, respect, and these people are just a pleasure to be around, lets start with the salespeople, i had the pleasure of working with Dan Gonzales and Manushi Weerasinghe i just have to say both are fantastic made me my wife and son feel like we've known each other for a long time and it was so easy working with them, also all the other sales people that were not even involved with the deal were very friendly and a pleasure to talk with. The sales manager Jimmy Rivas was also easy to work with as i'm all about a fair deal and he understood that and delivered. The finance manager Doug Rivas (yes Jimmy's brother) was unbelievable, when we went in to sign the docs we were informed that they were able to get a better rate and did a little more massaging of the numbers so our payments dropped. i can tell you that never happened in my car buying experience. i have never written a review before but after my experience at Hanlees Chevrolet i was compelled to do so, i'm sure everybody's experinces will differ but i would honestly recommend you give them the first shot. read more

This Chevrolet Dealership was the worst dealership I have ever experienced with buying a car. Besides the worst service I have ever came across from a sales person named Joell, it gets worse in the after service department. First off, they sold me a brand new 2018 Chevy Camero with a defective wireless charging system. Despite it not working when I left, they were still happy to sell me the unit. Also, after taking the car home and doing a visual inspection in the comfort of my own home, I found a ding near the gas tank cover. After calling them and complaining about my issues with the car, the manager, Alex Lutsuck, was saying that I was talking down to him, being disrespectful and basically implied that I was lying. Come to think about it now, I think he was just getting out of the responsibility of taking care of the issues with my new 2018 Chevy Camero. I am so upset with Hanlees Chevrolet that I never want to go back there, even to try and get these issues resolved. I'd rather spend my own money to get these issues fixed on my own. Plus I live almost 2 hours away from them and I would even have to take a day off just for them to see if they could fix my Camero. If you are looking to buy a Chevy, I wouldn't recommend this place especially if you are looking for any kind of service. I would definitely suggest you join a different 'Chevy family' other than this one. No one deserves this kind of bad service, especially if that person spends 40 to 50 thousand dollars on a car. Very good buying experience. We bought a new 2015 Chevy Suburban in mid November. No high pressure sales tactics, very friendly and answered all of our questions. Sales person Max Williams was very friendly and easy going as well as knowledgeable regarding the new Suburban. It made the buying experience pleasurable. Both the salesperson, Max Williams, and the sales manager, Dennis, worked hard (without adding stress and pressure) to earn our business. My dad bought me a car from here 4 months ago, and I thought they were helpful, they told me I had extended warranty and that if anything were to happen it would be covered. Sadly, a couple weeks ago my service light came on and I brought it in to see what the problem was. I was shocked when they told me I needed a new brake master cylinder, a new steering sensor, and a new traction control switch, which are all SAFETY FEAUTURES and my warranty would not cover it! I also had to pay $145 out of pocket for the diagnostic. I have only had my car for 4 months, I use it to get to work and back and I thought buying a new car would be more reliable than my last, but I was wrong. I have not even put 5,000 miles on the car yet. I am beyond frustrated. I contacted GM customer engagement to see if there was anything they could do. They contacted Hanlee's and they could not come to a resolution for us. Now I have repairs that are going to cost me over $1,000. I will never be back to Hanlee's and I would never recommend them to anyone! read more

***WARNING*** STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! I came in to buy a used Ford F-150 I saw on their website for $32500. My intention was to pay cash. I was told that since I have limited credit I should finance it to get my credit score up. But that there would be a bank fee charge. They also said that they would have to charge me more to get a lower interest rate of 6%. Being naive, I just assumed that this was normal as I thought I was going to pay cash for the truck but they convinced me to finance and get my credit established. I put $38,500 as a down payment and they put me on a 72 month contract for $140 per month. They told me that was the payment to get credit. I was shocked when I read my contract yesterday!! They charged me $38,500 for the truck......NOT $32,500! They charged me 7.89% NOT 6%. They charged me $4000 for a warranty. They charged me $909. for a wax job that has never been done! Please learn from my mistake and DO NOT do business with Hanlees! If I do not receive $11,500 in the next 2 days ($6500 for difference in sales price vs. advertised price, $4,000 cancel my warranty, $909 for Auto Butler wax job) I am going to contact KCRA and every other news network,on your side, BBB, and my attorney. I feel sick and violated. Don't be scammed like me. Avoid these people at all cost! read more

The care was there all day and when I went to pick it up they said they didn't have the part and would call me when it arrived. Don't buy a vehicle from here!!! I purchased a Pre Owned Chevy Certified 2012 Tahoe in December of 2012 with an extended warranty. I'm not sure who certified this vehicle but they did a horrible job because what a piece of junk it turned out to be. After just 2 weeks the front differential went out. The service department fixed it but I did mention it idled rough. The service department said there were no codes and that's just how they idle. After taking it back for a rough idle a couple of times I had to call GM and complain. After taking it back on GM's behalf low and behold I had to have the engine heads redone. Even after the engine heads being supposedly fixed it still ran rough. I eventually had a check engine light come on and took it back once again. They found a bad spark plug but I had it with this vehicle. I ended up having to Lemon Law it and got my money back for the car. Now the issue is I can't get my extended warranty refund back for some reason. I have not owned the Tahoe since August of 2013 and every time I inquire about what's going on with my refund I get excuse after excuse. I turned them into the Better Business Bureau and they haven't even responded to that yet. Don't waste your time with this dealership. read more

My friend, a widow with a young child, paid full price--more than $50,000--here for a Chevy Traverse and also paid almost $3,000 for an extended warranty and service contract at the time of purchase. She brought her vehicle in at the recommended intervals for servicing, and always left happy--until the 60,000-mile service visit. At that time, she made an appointment with the service department, took a day off from work, and drove the twenty miles to Hanlees in Davis. When she arrived at the service department, the new service manager refused to perform the service, saying they needed the paperwork to "prove" she was entitled to prepaid work. She waited there for more than two hours while they supposedly searched for the contract. She was told they couldn't find the records, that their computer system only kept records for two years, that they couldn't find the key to a filing cabinet that contained paper records, etc. Extremely upset by what seemed like disrespectful treatment by the service manager, she finally left in tears after being told they would do the service, but only if she paid for it on the spot. I accompanied her to the dealership yesterday with a copy of the original purchase agreement to see if I could help resolve the issue. We received the same runaround: they couldn't tell what particular service agreement she had purchased, their computer system only kept records for two years, and they would have to "send someone to another city where backup records were kept" before they could decide whether to do the service "for free". The manager was unimpressed when told the work had previously always been done on a pre-paid basis, and in fact told my friend that she had been getting "free" servicing! I got the impression that this dealer is friendly when you're buying a car, but otherwise isn't interested in taking care of their customers. read more

He quickly pulled out a sheet and said I had won a $5 Scratch (CA Lottery) ticket. Surprise, Surprise! He further stated he would need my vehicle information, contact information and wait for a representative to talk to me. It appeared there were other customers waiting for something as well. I asked him if he could give me the $5 Scratch ticket. He responded with, "No," and that he was not authorized to hand out the tickets. I left. Yeah I get it, I should have known nothing is for free. With that said, the advertisement never said customers would have to listen to a "sales pitch" similar to the sale of timeshares. I would recommend not going to Hanlees for any vehicle purchase. "Why," you say? Well, their business practices of tricking customers for potential vehicle sales represent their style of selling vehicles. If they had just smiled, handed me my "consolation prize" and said, "thank you for coming by", they would have a prospective future buyer. I guess they make their sales with the "lowest common denominator." We all need to be wary and skeptical when we buy vehicles but I don't need the extra stress with a dealership's tomfoolery. read more

This dealership was the 3rd(Elk grove and Roseville being the previous ones) I approached for my ongoing look out for the best trade in offer and deal to get my 2016 Camaro. I was in contact with Julia (BEST, HONEST, HUMBLE sales rep I have ever met) and she helped me through the entire process! She was straight up about everything and I'm glad she was because if she would have be lying i would have caught her being that i had talked to previous people, dealerships, etc. I highly recommend getting in contact with her to meet your car needs! (She speaks Spanish too!) I do think more staff need to be hired it took me almost 8 hours to get my paper work ready (not even complete). I was having issues with my new car but the staff responded quick with advice. i have scheduled a check up as soon as they get my spoiler gets in (hopefully sooner than later) and everything should be good! Tony working finances was also a great person to work with and answered any questions I Had! My friend and went to Hanlees chevorlet today. We had an appointment for 11 am on a monday. When we set the appointment we told them we are in a hury and just need the oil change and tire rotation. When we called we were told that it would take 20-35 minutes since we had an appointment. We arrived to our appointment 10 minutes early and were not met out by our car for service like they should have. We went inside and ended up dealing with the service manager Michael Mcnight. We told him we have an appointment for a tire rotation and oil change and that when we called it would take nome more than 45 min. Michael proceeds to tell us that its going to be at least an hour and a half even though we have an appointment. I told him we were not hapoy ahout this and that I would be leaving a review, the service manager then says "I don't give a shit you're not the customer, you dont own the car heing worked on". Well I do own a chevy cruze that my wife had serviced there, and my friend owns the car we had to wait on. Neither one of us will ever be back for service and will surely never buy another new viechel from any Hanlees dealership if they employ people like Michel Mcknight. Michaels attitude from the beginning was off. He acts very cocky and tries to be condescending to customers. He was even being a jerk to an older lady that was there asking questions since she didnt understand what was going on with her car. His attitude and total lack of respect and consideration for customers with appointments its totally uncalled for. If you call for a service dont believe their time frame over the phone as it will at least double! read more
