This is the worst dealership to deal with, we were not told any specifics on the deal for the equinox, told us we should be happy we got approved why do we need specifics just drive up here, also he calls us 2 hours into our drive and gives us a BS story about 5 thousand damage to the car at the same time raised the price on us from 12k to 15k. Also we took the day off work to drive up there as well he didnt have the curtousy of telling us the truth till we were 2 hours into our drive. I am only giving 1 star because I have to give at least that, my preference would be to give them NONE. If you are thinking about getting a car from these folks don't. I was in the market to trade my 2016 Chevy Equinox and downsize to a Chevy Trax, I was upside down with the Equinox, and my credit wasn't bad, so I went there to see what they could do for me since they were offering dealer and GM rebates. My brother happened across an add for Elk Grove Buick who was offering a 2019 Buick Encore for less than the Trax Hanlees was trying to sell me, so I owed it to myself to at least go take a look. Now mind you, I already had gone on-line and applied with GM Financial so my financing was in place for the Trax so, there was no need to run my credit further. I have it in a text message where I EXPLICITLY asked Mr. C.I. the Sales Manager NOT TO RUN MY CREDIT since I had financing in place with GM Financial. He agreed in the text message. Long story short, I ended up going with the better vehicle, the Buick Encore, I received a better vehicle, better pricing, better financing, and just a better experience all around. I did tell Mr. C.I. that I was going with the Buick offer and that it was a better business decision for me. I guess he did not understand business and took it personally. Well here we are over a month later and I am still receiving notices from several banks I know nothing about with counteroffers or just flat out rejections based on an unreasonable amount of financing Mr. C.I. was requesting which I am sure he did on purpose because I told him I was going with the Buick and not the Chevy. I now have 50, count em 50 inquiries from banking institutions Hanlees submitted an application for on my credit report which made my credit score take a nosedive which was exactly why I was being proactive trying to control who I financed with and how many times my credit was checked. It's really unfortunate that one can't be held at their word when you ask them not to do something even when you have proof in writing. The vehicle I wanted to trade was purchased from Hanlees so I thought they were a good company to do business with again. I'd never ever refer anyone I know to Hanlees after this. My review is for the service department. I brought my Chevy Colorado in here a few days back just for an alternator change. Turned out after talking to Pedro the mechanic that I didnt even need an alternator change but a new battery. Pedro even ran a quick test in front of me to show the alternator was fine and we replaced the battery and it ran like new again. At first everything seemed good. Found a truck i liked. But wouldnt tell me the price of it for a while. Seemed as if they were afriad to tell me or just was not organized and didnt know how much vehicle was. Was told after buying the vehicle they would throw in a few things as courtesy on there end. The customer and mechanical service they provide here are the poorest. I can't believe they even have 3 stars. They never accomplish what they promise and their service is very selfish but pretend like being professional. Julia was a very unprofessional sales rep I had to deal with. She never tried to make me happy. After the car sold and they take the money, they really don't care about the post sales customer experience. There is no blame to the car I bought but because the customer service was so bad, I felt like I bought a bad car. Buying a car is a big thing and a lot of money. I don't think none of them (even the finance manager) are trained to understand this except Marco who helped me to get things right. I will never ever come here again. It also took a very long time to get the DMV things done and they never tried to figure out the situation until the last minute. They made me call them many times and follow up. Why do I have to be proactive? It's you that must be proactive and follow up with customers especially when things are not going smooth. Great community involvement and the boys love racing in the showroom alongside the gleaming hi-po Chevy's. Also, last December my father brought his 2013 Corvette up from LA to get a second opinion at Hanlees as another dealer in SoCal had told him the car needed thousands of dollars in work to correct some handling issues. Hanlees Service Department gave him an honest appraisal of what needed to be done and what could wait which made him very relieved. After putting together a good proposal, Hanlees had the car ready on time and for many dollars less than what he would have paid down in SoCal. read more

The sales manager called my husband and asked him to get me to remove my review. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! As much as I love my sweetie, he does not control me. It took six weeks to finally get the decal put on his car after the wrong one was ordered by them. Four and a half months later he still does not have license plates or registration. I bought a new Nissan Murano in Elk Grove less than a month ago and already have my plates and title. Someone at this dealership told him that there is a backlog at DMV., more lies! 10/07/13 Took time off from work to go to DMV to get plates and registration. DMV showed us paperwork that the dealership submitted with ONLY the street address, no street name AND the last name mispelled. That is why we didn't get plates in the mail. Five months after he bought the car my husband finally has plates and now he has the submit DMV paperwork to the lender to correct the spelling of his last name. read more

I went in and got nothing but straight forward talk instead of the typical "salesman" BS I always heard at other dealerships. I didn't buy a car from here. Thankfully! I almost did. I worked with 3 different salesmen. I was trying to work out a lease deal for the new Chevy spark and the first sales guy I dealt with was completely inflexible and rather condescending. He demanded a thousand dollar dealership fee and refused to break it into monthly payments that every other deal within thirty miles agreed to. Guy number two was a complete crook. He assured me they could work with me on the dealership fee but told me that the advertised deal for the Chevy spark was only applicable to the 1lte and not the 2lte. Amazingly they only has 2lte ones in stock and *cough cough* required a much higher monthly payment. He even told me that they were the only dealership in norcal that could sell any more sparks for the rest of the year. Well those were complete lies according to Chevrolet. I checked. Guy number 3 left me a voicemail trying to repair a burned bridge. But alas, the bridge is gone! You can thank your honesty and politeness for that. read more

I don't know cars so when they hand me a $400 bill with no explanation, I feel uneasy about it and would like some reassurance that I'm not being taken advantage of. I wish I could give a negative star rating. At first our experience was pleasant working with Shawn- he was knowledgable about the car and showed us around its features. He didn't know about the new GMC lease deal that came out that day so we had to go back and forth on trying to remember the details, but that was fine. We got down to talking numbers and upon showing us a breakdown we got confused because it was not even close to what the lease advertised. The column totals didn't match up, and ghost fees would show up. Long story short, we left that night to talk about it and when my husband got a call from Shawn the next day my husband explained we weren't interested and we passed the numbers onto my family who were also potential customers for the same lease and were now also not interested. Instead of offering to clarify any questions or concerns, Shawn proceeded to cuss at my husband saying,"I shouldn't have f*cking given you a copy of the price breakdown." He became extremely upset and my husband hung up. Crazy! I don't know if Shawn was having a bad day but they will never be getting our business...ever. My husband and I are both Air Force and it's such a shame to be cussed at like that. EVERYONE deserves more respect. read more

Do not get an Internet quote from here. They will up the price and then tell you that you are wrong about the original quote when you have it all in texts from the salesperson. I work for dealerships and this one I can tell you is a shady one. I can recommend many places to purchase a vehicle,but not this one. Tried to call back after I was contacted by dodge to fix some recalls on my truck. After 2 days and 2 messages I tried to call all departments to get a hold of someone. I then talked to Nora sales manager who yelled at me and said she gets 50 of these calls a day and hung up. I'm trying to bring you business and get safely issues fixed on my truck. This location is putting me and my family's safety in jeopardy by not calling me back and hanging up on me when I do get to talk to someone. After Nora hung up on me I contacted Denis in parts who helped me right away and Brian called me back from service. read more

I am kind of in-between on this dealership, hence the 3 star rating. First of all, I did end up buying my car from them because it was a newer car, low miles, for a great price. However, everyone I worked with seemed to be working there for only "3 days". It somewhat reflected in the buying process of this car. They were super friendly and easy to work with in my experience, though. I will admit that my only complaint is partially my fault. I have requested a copy of a service report twice now and I still do not have it. I have no idea what service has been done on this car (and I shouldn't have purchased it without obtaining this information first), I have no idea when the last oil change was or when the next one is due, the car is a bit wobbly and I have no indication as to why. Their test drive route is literally a lap around a block and I didn't notice it then, or again, I would not have purchased the car. It would be nice to receive the report and to stop getting the run around about it. If I'm told that I will receive a call back after a manager is contacted about the report one more time, my head is going to explode. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Only reason I bought my new 2018 Chevy from them is because the color and upgraded package I wanted I knew I wasnt going to be able to find somewhere else. First original salesman could not speak English but was definitely friendly. The closer Eddie was a huge ass... cocky and arrogant. From the first moment I met him, to signing of the papers, and also calling the next day to say that my rear driver side door has a gap from the body to the door when it's closed. He was a pompous ass, you could tell he could care less that I just spent $47k on a vehicle and would hope the dealership would back up their product. While waiting for the actual price of the vehicle for 3-4 hours he sent over 4 different people to me, each one with a different cost which was increasing. Horrible horrible customer service. Would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them at all. read more

I had a great experience with the service department. I called to inquire about a new battery after a bad experience at another dealership. John was awesome, gave me a quote while I waited, and set me up with an appointment for the next morning. He offered me a shuttle to and from work, but I didn't even need it because they were able to replace the battery while I waited. The whole appointment took less than 45 minutes, and I was provided with a print out of different levels of recommended service with no pressure. Would like to add that GM Jim Totah researched the entire "incident", offered me a decent service credit and forced sales manager Jeff to apologize to me. Jim was very, very concerned that an employee treated me this way and went the extra mile to make sure to check everything out and offer a fair compromise. He spoke with Dave, the service manager, who told him I was a nice, reasonable person who never gave him any trouble. He even went as far to find that I owned another Chevy. What he offered was fair and reasonable, and that's all I wanted. While I don't believe Jeff's personality will change, as his apology was basically a back-pedal and he only said "I'm sorry" after sixteen reasons why he thought he was in the right, I'm glad he was forced to call me and say it. I will NEVER say the customer is always right - but to scream and shout at a customer instead of doing due diligence and trying to work out a problem is always wrong. Jim Totah knows this and proved it to me. Now he needs to continue to work with the sales manager Jeff to make him understand it as well. Jeff also needs to know what Chevy's standard of Certified means, and implement that instead of his version. All in all, after dealing with Jim, I'm satisfied with the outcome. I'm sorry that it had to go that far (and would have gone farther, had Jim not been the man he is). Hopefully, you will never have to experience what I did with Jeff. I would highly recommend the service department (and Dave), but I still am unsure whether I would recommend the sales department, as long as Jeff is running it. read more

I inquired about a car on the Hanlees Davis Chevrolet website on a Wednesday evening and shortly after that inquiry I received a text from the GM, Cheryl Krajcar, asking if I was okay with her texting me. We chatted a bit via text and told her I would be in the next morning about 10am to take a quick look at the car as I was on a little bit of a time crunch. I got there a few minutes after 10am and she had the car running and immediately greeted me and spent a little time going over the fun features of the car. She totally respected my time and I told her I was very interested and I would be in touch later in the day. I was back within the hour and again she was ready for me when I walked in the door. As everyone knows, buying a car can be a hassle and a lengthy process, but Cheryl made it as nice and easy as she could. It still took a little time to figure out trade in values, if I wanted the warranty, etc, but she was also very patient with me too as I was texting/calling my husband during the transaction for his input. After all was said and done with Cheryl, I finished the paperwork signing with David Estacio and he was just as pleasant as Cheryl. We went through the paperwork as fast as we could and then he showed me all the fun things about my new car and the set up of the basics. David emailed me some helpful info about the car shortly after the purchase and reached out the next day or so to see if I needed anything. Cheryl was also very responsive each time I texted her after the purchase.
